Zahara glanced at Sevilin as he more or less stomped off and sighed. There he went being all bitchy again. A glance down at her hands and she grimaced. She was all icky. Picking up the towel, she wiped off her hands, arms and face, sponging at the front of her clothes as well. Ah well, blood and such would come out with a good scrubbing. Watching the colts for a second and giving pets to the mother before she went about giving out sugar cubes to the others. "We're celebrating, thus everyone gets one." Then she headed outside and leaned against the stables next to him. "He'll get better, this is just really rough on him. Poor fuzzball." She reached out and lightly stroked the ferret's tummy. "He's a fighter though, just like his best friend." She was quiet for a moment and then said softly, "Thanks for your help, Sevilin. I know you didn't want to do it and I'll do whatever you want for repayment."
"Well..." he glanced around to check for listening grown ups and hten leaned in. "He kinda looks like me. Black skin, white hair except his is longer and it's not in a braid. He's got on red too and gloves, though I don't know why. And I saw a pretty necklace around his neck like what Mommy really likes. The yellowy stuff...I don't remember what it's called...." Looking inquisitively at his friend. "That enough information?"

Malik narrowed his eyes some. he knew that look around trick. that wasn't the playful conspiracy looking, that was the 'are there any adults who won't like this' careful looking around. What could they be up to.
"Zahara...neither of the boys know about Khavier being here, right? they just know I have buisness with someone that I don't wnat them getting involved in, correct?"

Nym of course gave a chitter at being pet and pretty much lay there much like a worn out slinky...eh he didn't feel like moving too much. Sevilin tilted his head at the creature, before scratching between his ears. He swore, if his ferret died, there was going to be hell to pay. Besides, right now he did have a plan to help ease things a little. But he turned his head to Zahara and made one of those noises of affirmation to her thanks. "Sure....you're welcome." Turning his eyes out to watch as the boys traipsed around some, glancing over at Malik at his question and then letting his look drop to Zahara again.
He leaned toward his friend as he had lived in and gave a few nods as he took in information...not that he needed it, they both knew what they were looking for, or whom rather, they had just decided to turn it into a game. "That'll do, come on." Motioning for Zykariel to follow as they more or less toddled thier way around the place, Malikhai stopping every once and a while to check something random as if he actually was trailing something. "That's called amber, it come's from trees...somehow..."

And Malik put her in a bad position, now didn't he? Of course he did. At least he hadn't asked anything about whether or not they'd seen Khaiver. She was quiet for a moment and then shrugged. "They know somebody's here since they've been locked up in that silly room and Sevilin told them there's company." A shake of her head, "They aren't stupid Malik. Company has never before forced them into lockdown mode. You handle business in your study so, yes, they know he's here. They don't know who he is unless someone told them though." It wouldn't particularly matter one way or another since the boys' had natural curiosity.
Zykariel nodded and followed right along after his friend. "He was near the stables last I saw him but he might have gone inside." He reached up and picked up Yinn so the little draithix wouldn't get shoved off the other elf's head. "How close are we?" he asked softly.

"Why do I get the feeling they are trying to find him."
glancing back over at the children.
"I think it's in our best interest to have someone monitor them without them knowing. let Faete and Ramoth out of thier stables. they can blend into shadows and watch the kids without them knowing and at least let me or you know if they are getting to close to Khavier."

Sevilin frowned at that notion. Why did children have to be curious like they were...they got into far too much trouble for thier own good. This is one of those times where Nym would be the stool pigeon...but his little friend seemed halfway dead since magic left the land...which was not a good thing at all. "Children want to see what is being kept from them, that's just the way it is. You could always suppliment someone...they don't know it's Khaiver persay, since they haven't seen him...just give them someone they've never seen before to look at." Ah one of those great ideas.
"We'll just have to look inside, but not be inside." Thus the two disappearing around the corner of the fortress...hey they didn't understand that there was danger right in the front yard too...as far as Malikhai was concerned...he was safe as long as daddy was outside and knew where he was, regardless of wether Malikhai could see his father or not. Thus to the first window they came across and Malikhai grouched in front of it and laced his hands together, presenting them to his friend. "Step up and look."

Zahara had to admit that, yes, that was a good idea though it wouldn't fool the boys. Zykariel had already seen Khaiver so that was a moot point entirely unless he hadn't gotten a good enough look. "Could always pull someone from Vesendar. Nadai might work." And then again he might not... "Or one of Nadai's friends."
Before he could ask just how they were going to do that, Malikhai demonstrated and Zykariel nodded approvingly. The danger didn't even cross his mind. Both his parents were outside so he knew he was safe. Daddy would never let anything happen to him after all and Mommy was learning. He walked over to his friend and stepped up into the offered hand, using his shoulder for balance until he stood straight and peeked in, looking around. "Nope. He's not in the living area. One of the bedrooms would be better. Or maybe the kitchen?"

"Afraid not. anyone we pull in he'll know. he'll sense my expectation of someone coming. and he knows virtually every member of the staff we coudl pry up to even give a semblance of an appearance of being here fomr something without bad acting. this si one of those times where having a bond to your child turns out to be a hinderance rather than a help."
crossing his arms and leaning on the wall.
"Last I left Khavier, he was in the armory. not osmeplace they can see. however if he's taken to exploring, they might catch him. his room isn't one with a window. so maybe we'll get lucky and he'll be in his room or in the armory still."

"Vesendar drow...may be too much of a give away with that blue they wear." But a look to Malik. It was always weird to hear Malik speak of having bonds, since it really wasn't a drow thing...he knew they were possible, but it seemed so much complication sometimes. "You can shut that down for a moment or two, you know." Hey he knew his fair share about how they worked too...how else were you supposed to rip them apart if you didn't know how they worked...
He squined some in discomfort, after all, having someone's body weight completely being bared by your shoulders and that of a draithix pup too. But he didn't complain, merely shifted a little to try and get more comfortable. "We'll just look every other window." Because that seemed like a good idea now didn't it? Very. Thus he waiting for his friend to get down and then they toddled off to move onto the next one that was fitting of said description. This time Malikhai got on hands and knees, so his friend could stand on his back.

She frowned again, "If they can't get to someplace where they can see him then maybe we're worrying for nothing. Is Malikhai bold enough to walk up and talk to Khaiver?" She knew the answer to that one. Malikhai was shy but Zykariel was not. Her son would have no qualms about walking right up to Khaiver and getting to know him rather well in a short space of time. He'd take Khai with him too.
Zykariel hopped down and followed along after Malikhai moving onto the next window. He wasn't thrilled about standing on his friend's back but he just wasn't tall enough to look in the window without doing so. Balancing precariously he tried to keep his full weight off but that was hard as well. And then he saw him, looked right at him as he passed through the hall. "We found him!" In his excitement he knocked ont he window then lost his balance and tumbled back, landing on his bottom in the dirt. "Ouch..."

"Normally, your right. but as you might have guessed, I don't exactly have a good grasp on these things. not to mention, the shutting down would set him into alarm. without Piper being here, our fledgling bond is a security blanket as much as his clingyness is."
Malik gave a slightly annoyed sigh. before a twitch of his ears.
"Let faete out right now. or Ramoth. I don't care which. there's a flicker of excitement, and that can only suggest one of them got a look at Khavier. lets hope our nightmare can get them to us before he notices they were there."

"Worried you may shut things down then not be able to get it back open hm? Fickle bonding issues." But Malik was right...those surface elves when nuts when they felt bonds shut or severed to one another...and bonds applied in same respect to all who could form them...thus it would probably be the same thing. But he turned his attention to the outside of his head and to the other drow with him. A look to Zahara. "Go ahead and due it, no harm if it's nothing." No harm but probably tantrum throwing toddlers.
Still on hands and knees he crawled over to his friend, clamping a hand over his mouth and raising a finger to his own in shushing gesture. "Shhh...if they hear you say 'ouch' then they'll make us go back inside." And he really really didn't want to be inside right now. "Which way was he going?" They could follow up on it later, he was more concerned with expending energy and what not...could not coop three year old elves up in a room...especially one who was half surface elven with a potiential for wanderlust tendencies.

Zahara's hands hit her hips. "We aren't doing anything that might upset that child when it comes to you Malik. I'm deathly serious when I say that too." But she calmly turned and walked into the stable releasing Faete so he could do as bidden. "Go get the boys and bring them back to us."
Zykariel nodded and quieted down immediately then pulled back away from his hand. "That really hurt though. He was walking towards the rooms that are that way." Pointing to the western end of the fortress. He heard the sound of hoofbeats on the ground and glanced around quickly then got to his hands and knees. "Lookit! We found the bug Malikhai! Now we just gotta find the treasure."
Faete galloped up a moment later and snorted at them both, using his nose to bump against them lightly and if that didn't work, his teeth to grab onto their tunics, tugging them back towards their parents.

"Hence not trying to shut them down. and it's not about not being able to get them back, Piper can help with that. it's teh panic attack that will ensue."
nodding to Sevilin and Zahara.
"I have no intention of letting that snake slither back to his hole with knowledge of our children to sell to the highest bidder. Ravenwings or Inthras, or whomever else. And I don't doubt for a second that you're going to be making some kinda of deal to prevent that when he gets around to pestering you. which is all the more reason to keep him contained and controlable to the best of our abilities without letting off the definate air that he's standing on a gallows with a noose before it's time to snap his neck if need be."

Hey look there really was a bug, and it was an interesting one that he'd never seen before. That meant his attention was duely gotten and he picked the squirming thing up in one hand, "Hey this one-hey!" Said as he was promptly being gently dragged by a horse. "Don't rip my tunic Faete! Mommy's not around to fix it!" Of course he believed that mommy was the only one who could fix his clothes. No not happy about this at all, especially as both boys were carted back to parents. "No Faete! Bad horse!"
"Yes she could...but she's not here right now is my point. And young elves are all so sensitive." But a light sigh and shake of his head, a smirk at Zahara, that woman was being mother to every little elf around here, and then a look to Malik. "If your in laws haven't given away your own son yet. And yes...I am going to make a deal with Khaiver...if anything I'll get him out of the fortress for the remainder of his stay here and deal with him on my own time."
