:::She lets down her arms, but still doesn't want to look at him:::
yeah... I know.
:::Cora was sour about it, but even SHE sat down and tried to pick Mel's brain for all it was worth:::

*Though Luke's a little annoyed, he's pleased to see that Cora may be relenting that he was right.* So you see why I had to do that?

She told me that... she didn't trust the Captain, even though, he saved her life once. I got her to think about telling me what he did to save her... but then she faded out.
:::This was said, looking down at the bar top, and not at Luke:::
Oh, and she also concurred that the Seraphim likes to talk...

I'm not even sure she'll tell us anything if she thinks it will be helpful, just despite us.
:::She runs her hands through her hair, and released a frustrted sigh:::
I hate that b***h.

*smirks a little* Well, I don't like her either. But even if she doesn't want to help us, she might anyway... And right now, that's all I care about.

Mm... do you think... if the Seraphim knows that, he'll target her next?
:::Cora finally glanced over at Luke?:::

*Luke sighs and his eyebrows pent together. It's a terrible thought, and one that he hasn't had until now.*
*God, what if he was helping that? Just by asking questions? Not even Cora went at that like he did. Not to mention, if she helped him get this artifact... It's such bullshit. This ******** controls ALL of them, everything they do, everything he thinks about. It gets him so <********> infuriated.*
*soft, irriated tone* How would he know that?

Well... it would be nothing new, to her at least. She said that the Seraphim tried to kill her a few times before. And didn't. For whatever reason. Perhaps she's not worried about it.

:::She takes the empty glass she'd drank water from earlier and tossed it towards Luke, but instead of having him catch it, she let it float in front of him over the bar top:::
That's why we make it as hard as possible...
:::She let the glass fall and shatter, freezing the peices before they got too far in their sudden burst of flight:::
for the Seraphim.

*He flinches backwards at the sudden motions of the glass and then again as it shatters. Dangerous s**t .... But ... She had it under control. At that, a smile curls up on Luke's face as he stares at Cora's ability to control her power.*
*Luke recalls all too well how Hajime's sword did no damage. He remembers how Melliandra said no sharp object or projectiles could pierce Seraphim's skin. He knows that.*
*Luke moves his hand and the bottle cap on the bar flies up towards Cora. It moves with the same speed as if he'd thrown it.*

Been practicing?

*grins, as he sees that she can tell* Just every time I'm in here. Somebody's gotta learn to show you up.
*points* Pull out some beer bottles and put them on the bar.
*When Cora does, Luke practices taking the caps off. Cora also brings out some beer cans, and Luke pops the tabs. With Cora guiding him, he pulls them in different directions around the bar at varying speeds.*
*Even pacing himself, that's all Luke can take. He pants and takes a seat on a bar stool. He sits there, closing his eyes.*
You know... I ran a mile the other day... Then I played two quarters of a lacrosse game.... I did suicides... and then I came home and helped lift a ********' couch up the stairs.
This ... passing out feeling after ten minutes ... is bullshit.

I know... when you showed up, I just finished running 5 miles, doing 300 pushups, 240 squats, 210 sit-ups, endured an hour of chemical resistance training, spent what felt like an hour on the machine...
anyway, that feeling wears off, with enough practice...
