A post in which Exxos posts an incredibly positive and personal moment from his life. Probably a lot of you will think this is sappy, others romantic perhaps, but I will share.

One of the happiest, purest moments of my life. What I would probably be able to call one of life's perfect moments.

It was the day in the sunflower field when I told my late Mimiko that I loved her for the first time. Mimiko loved sunflowers and there was this field of them near where we lived. We were walking past it and she decided that she needed to play hide-and-seek, taunting me to chase her into the sunflowers. We ran around like kids a third our age until we were exhausted and collapsed out there.

And I remember looking up at the sky... The sky was so blue... Even with the dark lenses of my goggles (I had to and still often do wear glacier goggles because my eyes are so sensitive to light, I get blinded easily outside), I could see how bright and blue it was... The clouds looked like they were painted on the sky... I looked over and Mimiko was half-panting/half-giggling... And I even remember what I said, "Damn, I love you." Her face went to shock and then softened into that beautiful smile of hers... That quirky smile that seemed to encapsulate all the joy in the world, all the good there could ever be. And she gave a sharp, affirming nod of her head as if to say, "Yup!" She was that way. So much could be said with but a look, a nod, and crinkle of her nose...
