OMG, seriously I know what you mean about instruments being a piece of art. There was this one clarinet there, it was $1500, that was AWESOME!!!!!! I like died a little inside to know that I couldn't afford it sad .
So, I got done with my solo today and it was so nerve racking. I think I did pretty bad but apparently the judge didn't think so. He gave me a II (2). I don't know if the rating is the same in every state, but a II is pretty good, like getting a B is how I told "non-music" people today.

I only went to competition for solos once. I got so stressed, and my blood pressure skyrocketed, and my head felt like it was going to crush under the strain and my sight went red. I couldn't see anything but the color red for 30 seconds, I almost passed out, but I managed to keep on playing. I had experienced the same thing fighter jet pilots get when they experience to many G forces when flying. And it's not healthy. I got a two as well in that solo, but my Conductor's wife was my piano accompaniment, and she notice I got 'dizzy' at the beginning of the piece. I told her and she told my mom and my Conductor and I was officially told I would no longer be doing solos and I was given the job of doing music and sound effects off stage and in pit for the plays at the school instead.
I just can't handle the pressure. I can play solos but I was judged badly so much in my life, that when I perform or paint and display my works, I get panic attacks when on my own.
As for the $1,500 dollar clarinet I know how you feel. In my Jr. year when I was getting a new Clarinet, I saw one that instead of just being a plain straight laced one, I found a clarinet that's keys that stick out on the side on the upper bridge and the four others on the lower bridge were made to look like ivy, and around the key wholes the silver metal rings and bars were impressed with a scrolling pattern, and it had ivory inlays around the bell and barrel of birds and flowers. It was so pretty, but so much money.

Wow, those instruments sound beautiful. I can't play anything but I've always really appreciated those kind of instruments and the way they're made.
I don't have much else to say right now besides I'm just very busy with homework and essays.
Hope you're all doing great. biggrin

I am good Grey, I hope that you are doing well. I know how you feel on the homework thing. I have a physics test tomorrow and I have missed the last like 5/8 classes and I am sooooooo lost and she won't be nice and like post-pone the test until wednesday. I think its stupid that we started a completely new material today and we have a test tomorrow. I mean, it confuses me way past what I am already confused on. And next week we have spring break and wednesday is our last class of the week for physics and it is really annoying to start something completely new right before spring break and we could use tomorrow to study. Ugh..... *sorry for my little rant*

Yes, that is a cute fox haha.
Gerp, I hope your test went okay for you. I know how that feels too. I remember having a science test one time and I had been gone for awhile and usually that teacher was really nice because he knew why I was never at school {yay for pain} and he still made me do the test and I had no idea what I was doing. I have Spring Break next week too but I'll still have quite a lot of english homework to do. And most likely my math teacher will give me toooooons aswell.
Hopefully you'll get a new monitor soon Katie.
Going to check out the rest of the guild lol.. And Kyu, you should post more here!!

Hey guys, sorry I disapeared for a bit. Alright I started taking a seminary class at my high school so I can graduate seminary since it's something my religion strongly believes it.... Anyways, I was waiting for class to begin and I was talking to this really shy timid boy that sits 2 seats in front of me. I'm in the very back corner so talkin to people helps me not feel issolated. I asked him what year he was and he said Sophmore. He then asked if I was a sophmore and I just blinked for a second before telling him I was a Senior. He looked horrified that he had just called a Senior a Sophmore. At my school Freshman don't go to the High school. They are still part of the Jr High so he was terrified. I just laughed and told him I got that a lot because I do. I was datin a 21 year old guy while I was at College, but people have always thought I was younger. When I was a Freshman my entire spanish class thought I was a 7th grader. When I laughed the Sophmore relaxed but I just thought it was funny that he was so terrified when he found out I was a Senior because that whole stupid food chain thing totally doesn't exist at my school.

Neat Fox!! My test went somewhat okay. I got a C on it but that is the best that I was hoping for on it. I thought I actually knew what I was doing during the actual test and I thought that I would actually get a good grade on it but it turns out that I didn't but that is okay because it raised my grade from a 79% to an 80%!!! w00t!!! I hope that she gets better at teaching because it is really confusing. I know that it is her first year and all but she should still know that 1/2 the class was gone for 60% of the lessons over that chapter, so even the smartest kid in class was pretty clueless on anything that was going on.....
Okay, sorry for the little absence that I have had. Springbreak is this week so hopefully I will be getting on more often. I hope to talk to ya'll later but right now I have to leave because I have a friend who is sitting next to me reading everything that I type..... bye
Friend says: mwa ha ha ha ha XD

Nice work Gerp, and I'm sorry it didn't go to well but at least you did good concidering. And yay, now you have a B-. *Claps for Gerp* Oh I like having friends. My best friend and I used to do that all the time because I would be at her house in her small computer room and whoever we were talking to (More like talking at) would get an eye full of 'you're bony elbows are in my side again' and all sorts of stuff like that because once again the room was TINY and the two of us were crammed in it sharing a computer.

And now it seems that my grade has dropped back down to a 78%..... Its just so frustrating and it doesn't help that my life is pretty hectic right now.... I have just decided that it doesn't matter anymore. I mean, I don't need that class to graduation so as long as I don't fail, then I will be happy.

Hey guys, hope you're all doing well.
Well, I'm pretty sure I posted about this a few months ago, about my family reuniting with my dad's dad because he was very sick in the hospital. Well, it would've almost been a year that he would've been in the hospital but he passed away yesterday afternoon. I didn't know him that well but I feel more worse for my step-grandma who was so devoted to him and he was pretty much her life. I don't know what she'll do now. Also my dad is holding all of his emotions in but when I hugged him his voice broke so I know he's very upset. So, I probably won't be on a huge amount this week due to a relative coming to stay at our house for the funeral and others things that go along with a family members death.
Hope you all had a good March break. smile

Oh I'm sorry to both grey gardens and gerp. I'm just staying busy. My crew members for my guild have always thought of me as super woman. Now one of my crew members is taking on more than me so now I have to fight for my title as super woman. I've worked too hard for that title for too long.

I am so excited!!!!!! We have a snow day today! Its awesome that we have a snow day right after spring break but I hope that the snow and cold doesn't kill a whole bunch of the crops and what-not. There is no school is like the whole state and its like a blizzard here. The snow is blowing everywhere and its kinda hard to see. Is anyone else feeling the wrath of this snow storm??
