The Capital Wasteland. [OVER 3000 POSTS!]

jakk looked around
"why? we're almost there"

Rico cautiously looked around for possible ambush groups of all kinds....

"Yao Guai like dusk to hunt, Talon Company is unpredictable, Raiders will attack when the feel like it...soooo.....we keep walking into the darkness...or stay here and be safe for the night...."

jakk gives rico the get-a-life-kid look,
"yes but we might be safer in that building"

Rico looked around again, and watched the moon make the only light in the Wasteland.....Rico pulled up his pipboy and clicked on the light and said,

"fine, lets go....just....don't blow up on me......look for the small orange light..."

jakk pulls out an old gas lantern and points to the building one hundred feet in front of them
"see? why stop now? and what is all of this i hear about an orange light?"

Rico aims his Pipboy screen at the building and says quietly,

"The small orange light is the only way to see a mine in the dark,..." He shudders "Unless you hear the beeping of the sensor going off"

He slowly advances, and notices a few small pits from the past explosions....he kneeled down, the lunchboxes get totaly obliberated from a cherry-bomb or two...and the caps totaly destroy whatever they hit....

jakk is at the front door of the building scanning for motion through the door with his pocket watch/pipboy. nothing

As Rico tip-toed along, he noticed a small, faint orange-ish light on a box looking object.

Bottlecap mine.

He pulled out his sniper rifle, and slowly moved it towards the little switch to turn it off, click. Safe, but more were still there, he only moved a few steps at a time and slowly picked them up after he defused each one.

"Now for the building itself..." he said as he put the last one in his backpack....

jakk tried the door but it didnt budge so he kicked it open to reveal a colony of friendly shalebridge refugees

Rico turned to the door with his Glock out, looking at all of the refugees, not many...

"Ants? They...they are so tiny....some look hurt...i guess, but...uhh....should we help them?"

As he finished his sentance, he heard a small squad of sentry bots and a whole fire team of Enclave advancing....

He pushed Jakk into the building, trying not to step on the ants and said,

"Enclave! Mostly robots! Got anything...like pulse grenades?" He started seting down the scaved mines near the entrance and started collecting stones and stuff from the refuse piles to set up a decent ammout of cover....

"uhh yeah i got a few pulse grenades and this microwave thingy"
jakk says holding up a microwave emitter

jakk tosses rico the grenades and the microwave thingy

Rico looks at the microwave emmiter that is a little bigger than your average 10mm....

"Now how the hell is THIS going to work? Is it going to stun them or totaly own them with one shot? I know how the pulse grenades work, it sends a small EMP charge...."

He turned his head towards the entrance, they can't send down the sentry bots, but they send down a scouter trooper with a heavy incinerator.

"Jakk! they're going to start digging! save some mines! Get ready to shoot! Get all of the ants to the smaller tunnels! We need to keep this building!"

As he turns towards the entrance again, with his Glock ready to fire at full-auto, a Hellfire trooper falls down the stairs, he must have been pushed, then the best part happens...

As he hits the last stair, his helmet visor cracks open, and the mines sensors go off like banshees, and the trooper has only a few split seconds to say,

"s**t."

Both mines go off in unison, totaly maiming the trooper by taking all of his limbs off of his half-blown apart torso and twists his head all the way around....

"Let's see who's next!" Rico says with an evil smile.....

jakk picks up the ants and puts them in a room with their tunnel and loads his shotgun full of deer slugs he noticed the troopers finger next to him so he picked it up and put it in his pocket

Rico contiues to add on to the cover-pile with some rotten brahmin corpses and sheet metal plates. He hurries, the sentry bots are starting to shoot rockets at the cement doors...
