Back from La France! Nothing exploded! I bought lots of books. ;___; I didn't even have time to visit all the comic book shops I was supposed to visit... But I found my favourite Spirou et Fantasio : Luna fatale. Best comic book ever.
And it was so warm... around 20 celsius all the time. ;___; Warmer than Finnish summer. ;_________;
And I didn't think anyone was arrogant! Everyone was perfectly nice. :3

Hey Kindreds, Just thought I'd drop in and say that I have been working really hard with my band recently (recording, gigging, etc.) that I've not been online much. We've been offered a chance from a band called Evile - whom supported Megadeth last year - to support them next Tuesday night in Edinburgh. Its going to be out of this world. 1,750 capacity event and the tickets are sold out. £8 a pop for a ticket aswell... so rough maths makes that £14,000 for one night of music! (which is $20,942.60 at $11.60 per ticket converted.) sweatdrop So please forgive me if I don't pop in for a while as there are rumours of talent scouts for major labels at the gig, so you may actually see me become famous. I know the probabilities are a bit low, but still we're going to kick some a**. If you'd like to check us out (and see pics of me) - http://www.myspace.com/aggressusAnd incase your wondering, I'm the bassist who provides the very ellegant but brutal riffs in (seeming that I co-wrote all our songs with the lead guitarist and drummer).

It's official, I'll no longer be meandering around Towns. It seems that if you catch the eye of someone who likes the look of your gear that they will continuously try to hack your account xp I've been able to sporadically loggin thanks to this person because it seems I'm almost under constant "Too many failed loggins, try again in 15 minutes" gonk

Indeed. Why on EARTH do they care that much? Those hackers are sad. Stealing virtual items is just plain sad.
And on top of that, I missed my friends birthday party because I was too tired to go. :< 4 hours stading outside in the wind totally made my day...

I almost forgot! I want a native speaker's opinion. I disagree with my English teacher on something. I wrote this in my English essay:
I wanted to pay close attention to...
And she corrected it like this:
I wanted to pay a close attention to...
And that doesn't look correct to me at all. o__O I tried googling and it wasn't written like that anywhere. I understand not?

Krad, your english teacher would be wrong in this case. Your teacher is having difficulties with the word "pay" in this case. Pay can have a few meanings. For example: You can pay a dollar. But you cannot pay an attention; it doesn't make sense.
You're using the word pay in place of the word give. You wanted to give your close attention to...
So yeah, your usage is 100% correct.

what's the whole sentence, krad? depending on what you were paying close attention to could make a difference.

I also wanted to pay close attention to the characters.
^Talking about an illustration project. As far as I know attention in this case is an abstract thing, you can't count it like one attention, two attentions, three attentions... so it shouldn't have an article. And I'm talking about attention in general, not any particular attention.
But the again: I need a little attention. <- that's an exception, right?
Suddenly I'm confused. But yes, I think my teacher can't be right this time.

But yes, I think my teacher can't be right this time. You're teacher is definitely not right. Even in your sentence: I need a little attention. The article "a" is not modifying attention, it's modifying little. Just take out the word little to see what I mean. I need a(n) attention. That's clumsy and not something any english speaker would say.
