Hahaha thanks. I've worked my butt off for 5 years at this place just waiting for the chance to actually work there. For 5 years I have volunteered there because you can't work there until you're 18 and I didn't turn 18 until October. It's only open during the sumer, a little during the fall for harvest time and Halloween, and for a few weeks in December for Christmas. Well last summer I worked my butt off trying to impress the guy I would have to go to for a job this year and everytime he turned around I was up to something. I just hope that Holly's (My supervisor) adoration for me shows him how good of a job I can do because Holly and most of the employees know I could run circles around that place and do any of the jobs asked of me with just one day of training.

Lily, I'm so proud of you no matter what. You did everything you could and obviously it wasn't right for you. You should be happy that you lasted this long in such a hard program to do! Plus, now we get to talk to you again!! biggrin
Also good luck witht eh summer job!

My dad is getting me a job (I gave him my resume today to take in) at his work and I will be working in a tuck shop making milkshakes, burgers and fries lol. But, it pays 9 dollars and hour and it's full time and only for two months in the summer! It's good.
Hopefully I get it which my dad thinks I will considering I'm his daughter and he's really good friends with the chef.

Hope you're all doing good and happy Valentine's day!!! heart

Hahaha I guess that works. I'm pretty sure I'll get this job because I've volunteered for 5 years just waiting to be old enough. Right now my only problem is waiting for May because that's when it will open and since I'm not in school and I'm not working it's as if all my day's are Saturdays and I'm mega bored. I have to stay busy or I go insane so I want to find a job but I'll have to leave it in May so I don't want to at the same time.

Lily, I am proud that you mad it as far though as you did. I wouldn't have lasted 2 days. It taks a lot of strength to do what you did!

Sorry for the long absence again. Hope everyone had a good Valentines Day! I would stay and chat longer but I just stopped by to say "HI" and now I have to go do a but load of homework!

Ha I wish I had homework. I'm stuck here doing nothing and by nothing I mean absolutely nothing. I'm glad I at least tried it because I don't regret the experience but it will take tiime to not feel like I failed because for my entire life I have expected perfection out of myself. Last year was my Junior year in High school and each day I would get up at 5:30 AM to be at my religious class at 6:30. School would then start at 7:30 and depending on the day I would go to Honors Chemistry, College Adult Roles, College Pottery, and AP English, or Spanish 2, Honors Pre-Calculus, (I had not had Algebra 2) Creative writing, and AP History. School ended at 2:10 and I would catch the next bus to go 20-30 miles so I could hang out with my boyfriend from 4:15-4:45 if I was lucky and go to work from 5-10. Catch the bus home and get home about 11:30 midnight, get to bed about 12:30-1:00 and wake up at 5:30 to do it all over again only changing those four classes. All homework got done on the bus except for College Adult roles which I did in Chemistry while the boy next to me took notes and as soon as I finished we would swap and copy. It worked out great. Not the most honest way to go about it, but still. It's that kind of life I'm used to. Having to be perfect and always ready for more.

Well it sounds like it's about time you took a break! You need some time off from all the work you've been doing the past couple years. It's not good to always be busy. You need time for yourself.

Over time I think you will be proud of yourself but right now obviously you're going to be feeling failure because that's what comes with quitting something.
I know even when I quit my guitar lessons I felt absolutely horrible lol. It's just because you're giving up something you fought so hard for and realizing that it wasn't what you thought it would be.
Don't be so hard on yourself. smile

Hahaha thanks girls. I didn't quit, they sent me home. But yeah, it's just that everyone has always expected perfection out of me. Somehow I always wound up the teachers pet. Honestly, when I was in physics I wouldn't even pay full attention in the class. I would write my fanfictions instead and I got A's in that class. I was my teachers favorite student and I hated it because he always pointed it out. He did it in class with everyone there but he was even worse when I was alone in the classroom doing something. Honestly, between him and my Geometry teacher that year I thought I would go insane because Geometry was the same way except for him I would get the assignment and be done with it half way through the class and then goof around the rest of the period. Literally, I could chase this one guy around the room jumping over desks and everything and the teacher was good with it. That's how it's always been for me. Now I get sent home with them telling me I'm one of the most immature girls in the platoon.

Oh emm Gee!! I am a teachers pet too! For me its okay with one teacher (even though I don't have her class anymore! I still lover her, best teacher EVAAAA!) For the other teachers its just annoying because they expect me to get my homework done and when I don't (I HATE doing homework with a passion) they give me like a guilty stare that makes me feel bad but they don't do that for any other of the students. I am not that big of teachers pet, not to the point where I could get away with jumping and everything. None of the teachers would stand for that no matter who it is. My teachers are pretty strict on behavior.

Its always fun to be immature, at least I think it is XD.

Hahaha well I wind up figuring out what I can get away with for each teacher and I do it. My Honors Chem teacher and AP English teacher both liked me last year but my English teacher almost took my phone when I got caught texting, and if I had tried something like running around in Chem I would have been in trouble but she didn't make me serve the stupid detention thing for failing her class that everyone else had to do.

Wow... Hufflepuff is full of teacher's pets. I was a bit of one though I did not like it, and it was only with some teachers. Now in college I really don't care.
I liked my English teachers in high school, and two of my math teachers and both of my art teachers, and definitively my tech teacher in High School. In college I go through teachers so fast I don't get much time to really know them. But I really did like my group dynamics teacher. She was a good teacher and a kind person. I've had so many I can't even remember all their names and I feel bad.

I'm not a teachers pet. I was in elementry school and not at all during my first and only regular year of highschool. I was always a good kid and did my work but I never really became 'friends' with the teacher.

Just finished reading Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck for a book report. Made me really sad. They shouldn't put books like that in schools but I suppose it would be since I'm in grade 12.
Believe I'm going to be reading Death of a Salesman next. The play I believe? My whole grade 12 english credit is made up of 4 book studies haha.

Do we not have any other Hufflepuffs besides us few? We need to get them to post in here!

Sorry for my little absence again. I have been so busy its not even funny. Our highschool band got invited to play at KMEA which is KS Music Education Associations. It was a major thing and we had to wake up at 3 o'clock this morning and left at 5:30 to get there in time. I was really dissapointed with the turn out. I was expecting a whole bunch of people to be there, all music teachers, but there were like 75 people there and a vast majority of them where from my town. But we got to walk around and look at all their exhibits and it was AWESOME!!!! I saw some of the prettiest instruments I have even seen in my life and they were not cheap, trust me!

Next week I have band contest and I am doing a solo for it so I am going to be working all that all weekend so this might be the last time I post here for a while. I hope you all are doing well and for now I have to leave!

That is great your band was invited to the KMEA. I have seen some of the their stuff through the internet and I have been to New York City, where they had a whole wing of just instruments. There is a whole lot of work put into real instrument. An Instrument its self is a work of art, the can create more art. I have an Armstrong Clarinet, that the Armstrong company no long makes, they now make soli trumpets and other brass instruments and it plays well, but some of the keys are a little wonky, I need to take it in to get it fixed. I also have to go pick up some reeds.

I wish you luck with your solo. I know they are a lot of work.
