And Numenore is returned from the depths of the Great Sea, and lo! the Dunedain rejoiced, as did the Eldar their friends, and all was good for what long years remained in that great Age.
...just as I declared myself High King of the Realms in Exile. Figures.

Indeed it does. I am glad the Guild is back because I was going to shoot myself without it. Everywhere else on Gaia is utter chaos.

Onoj Indeed it does. I am glad the Guild is back because I was going to shoot myself without it. Everywhere else on Gaia is utter chaos. True that, yo. The LotR Forum is only semi-coherent and orderly as of yet. But I don't think we'll ever have anything to our liking. Unless the uneducated suddenly wake up and start making sense.

Hey! Nothing's going on. Idea time:
So I was thinking (as it's about time for me to reread it) that it would be awesome if everyone in the guild with access to a copy of the Silmarillion were to read it together. Each week or so, we could have the oppourtunity to post comments, thoughts, or questions about that week's reading (probably a chapter, maybe two), and even if no amazingly profound insights are achieved, who cares? It'll be fun anyway.
I have a couple of ideas about how to set this up, but since one involves a creating a mule and using that mule's journal to post comments, I wanted to make sure that more than one person was as geeky as me willing to participate before I set up the new thread, etc.
If anybody feels inclined to participate, post or PM me and after a couple of people (at least) say yea, then it'll be a go*.
*Cool people only. But if you participate, you automatically become Cool. Everyone wants to be Cool, right?

I'd like that. Of course, I'm only on my first time reading it myself, and with little time to read, I'm not very far. redface But maybe this will push me to make more time to read. I'll wait and see who else joins.
