"He...used a bat....Kai." he whimpered as memories flooded his perception and haunted him. "They held me...and he...it...I.." he didn't finish any sentences as his face streamed with hot tears. He knew why his body was so...messed up and injured. Would he ever feel normal after all that had happened?
He curled up against his Star feeling a bit broken and hopeless but Kai's words were very encouraging even from that pit of despair that Izzy wallowed in. "I'll try, Kai." he answered and closed his eyes realizing that Kay was right, if he ever wanted those men brought to justice, he would have to find some way to be strong.

Nakai's grip on Izzy tightened as his manager revealed a few more of the... details...
"Izzy... I'm so... so... sorry..." the blond whispered, nearly ready to burst into tears himself.
It hurt.
Hearing Izzy say that... hurt worse than anything.
Kai felt like his stomach had turned itself inside out as he rested his chin on the top of the megane-clad man's head.
"God, Izzy... I'm so sorry... I wish I'd known sooner... I wish I'd been there... Being alone like that..." he could hardly imagine what it felt like to be alone with someone as depraved as that...

And fall into the crimson sea... More screams. Oh yes...he was so angry...then... When? It was...then... Who? What was...he saying? I'll protect him from you!You think I'll just stand by and let you do this to him? You've got another thing coming!That was what he was hearing...those were the words being hurled at him. But he loved his sweet pet. Why take him away? Was he really the only one who understood love? Blood on his hands... True love. That was all he wanted to show. Who hurt you so badly that you have to hurt others like this?Whatever screams Akihiko gave fell on deaf ears. Each word became something else entirely to the man behind the mask. For now, his whole world was a facade...the warehouse may as well not exist. Holding the drugged star with strong hands, he caressed every inch of that body. with his quivering tongue, he licked the sweat from his chest, his whole body seeming to react to that sweet, salty nectar. Though it was in reality Narcissus, Hayato was holding a shadow in his arms. A shadow with piercing eyes. Iie...Naoko... But then...not... Who...was he...anymore? That damned rain...he was tired of hearing it... Even if it was an illusion... Just standing there, pressing kiss after kiss to Narcissus' body, he had his way with his lover. No hesitation. No holding back. Just...freedom. Finally.... I continue dancing upon

I don't want to cry! But I am anyway...
"I was a fool to go to my apartment...they were waiting there for me." he swallowed his heart back down his throat. "Akihiko had a feeling something was wrong when I was on the phone with him and he told me to have the driver turn back. But it was too late." He felt terrible about the whole thing and even worse that he was telling Kai about it when the man should be making preparation for the Charity event.
But...side of him that wasn't a manager needed these things released before they rotted his soul. "I...I...You would have been hurt had you been there...maybe worse... You...I couldn't let you be hurt...I want you safe, Kai. If anything were to ruin...your chances to be a star, I'd feel even worse than I do now." He said that with all seriousness as he stayed in the safety of the man's arms. He wanted to be sure that something like this would never happen to his star. "I just want to protect you."

Somehow...the drive from the hospital to Ohayou seemed impossibly long.
And...impossibly lonely.
So many things that were left unknown...so many things still unsaid. Yet...it was a burden he would bear.
Deep down...Chiyou knew it would be an even greater burden to bear when he finally heard the whole truth.
Heading into the main building, Chiyou took the elevator right up to the top floor where he made his way to Hiroki Asato's office.
Politely, he knocked and waited for an answer.
Quietly, he stepped into the office.
"Hiroki-san...I'm here to see you on behalf of Izzy. Could you, perchance, gather together a laptop and some paperwork for my...I mean...Akihiko's manager? It would make him happy, it would seem. I guess...he just needs a distraction."

Smiling softly, the blond nodded. "I like that you want to protect your stars... to protect me, Izzy... but this wasn't an act of protection. You were hurt... be..." Nakai bit his lip, unsure if he should jump to any conclusions.
"You were hurt because of Narcissus, Izzy... From what Hiroki said... Narcissus turned down SMASH and... he thinks they did this... to you..."
Silence for a long time reigned in the room... the vocalist was afraid to say anything, for fear of hurting Izzy even more.
But he had to say it...
He had to let the man know why...
Even if it was just a guess as to why...

Doing what one does best...
Asato Hiroki's secretary let Chiyou in before stepping out; leaving Chiyou with Hiroki, who was actually looking at a few piles of boxes. He greeted Chiyou with a wave of his hand calling him over to the desk. "Hai. In fact, I was just going over the items that were delivered for the Izzy Lucky right now. New phones for each of his stars, old and new. I know that the man is purely a stickler for keeping in touch and see...we even encased them in a skin of each musician including you."
The phone Hiroki held in his hand had a bewitching little skin of Chiyou-kun wrapped around it. Of course they were all Iphones because they were the best. "I think that might at least give him a few good memories back don't you agree?"
Tucking the phone back in it's case, he pointed to another box. "That's the new laptop and its already been provisioned with all the software he needs from Ohayou plus a few...games. The man should really take a few breaks every now and then. Also, we added all of his stars' music collections and videos."
He sighed a little as he patted the box. "I can't bring back everything that he lost but, Ohayou will do it's best to make sure he is well cared for. But...as for his work, well I'll send him a few files via email so he can start on that paper work. But I don't want him working too hard."
Then he paused and watched Chiyou for a moment, "I've been trying to reach Narcissus about a possible assistant to help him while Izzy Lucky is laid up but his phone hasn't been answered yet. Is he with his manager at the hospital??"

I don't want to think about that...But I am anyway...
It was then Izzy realized why Akihiko sounded so urgent when he got that last call. That desperate voice telling him to turn around. His eyes remained closed as he replayed events in his head. It could have been that Akihiko knew what was coming. That thought, it sickened him.
"I'm the victim of...?!" he sucked in breath...He couldn't say it...his heart just felt so tight and then a bit angry! From the incident with Chiyou...to this! Was he always going be told he meant something then to be flatly used or victimized? Did Akihiko care at all?? But stars had the right to refuse other contracts. But then Izzy also realized that Akihiko's mouth sometimes didn't express things well. Ok he expressed himself how he damn well pleased.
Even as he continued to think about it, he got more aggravated and upset. "Why?? Why?? Am I worth so...little?" he wished he could disappear then it wouldn't hurt so bad. Every star had been tough...he struggled with each ones flaws. "I should quit...I should just quit... go to America. Go someplace else." He was desperately frantic in his own head. "Why...I...I wanted only to make stars.... so beautiful and shining...I could never be a star...I guess I'm a terrible manager too. I can't even handle him. I can barely do good enough for you..."

Pulling back slightly, Nakai gently cupped Izzy's chin in his fingers and tilted the man's head back, looking into his eyes.
"You're worth more than anything I can think of." the musician spoke seriously, his amber gaze strong. "You're better than Narcissus... better than me. You're not a star, Izzy... but you outshine all of us."
The blond frowned slightly, shaking his head. "I wouldn't be right here without you. My big moment in a few days... and it's all thanks to you, Izzy. You made it happen. You brought Chiyou out of his slump. Hell, you even made Narcissus a little more friendly... I think..."
Kai put his hands on Izzy's shoulders, keeping eye contact with his manager the entire while.
"You're staying right here, by my side, even if I have to leave Ohayou. I want YOU as my manager, Izzy Lucky. No one else. You're ******** brilliant at what you do... I guess... you just need someone to tell you every once in a while..." a sad smile played at the vocalist's lips. "If Narcissus pissed off SMASH, I doubt it was intentional. They probably hurt you to get to him... though, I suppose if that were true, he'd be here instead of me right now, begging your forgiveness. Or... at least... he should be..." Nakai sighed softly. "We're gonna find who did this, Izzy... I swear... Yakusouku..."

"Wow...I have to say, I am impressed. Though I, of all people, don't doubt the kindness of Ohayou toward its employees, especially when they are in need."
Looking over the phone with his image on it, Chiyou couldn't help but smile. It was...both adorable and alluring...if he did say so himself. At least it had been a more recent picture, and he didn't look like a twelve year old or anything.
"This seems like it'll be exactly what Izzy needs to cheer up while he's in the hospital. I'll see to it he doesn't work too hard, though, Hiroki-san."
He looked again at the laptop. Top of the line, as to be expected. Izzy would be pleased with that, and it certainly would make him happy to have all of that music that he was directly involved in helping create.
He couldn't help but sigh, though. He wanted so much more for Izzy...but Izzy only wanted his work. For now, though, that was sufficient.
For a moment, Chiyou was caught off guard when asked about Narcissus. He had been off in his own little world there.
"Ah...yeah, um..Narcissus sent me a text before i left the hospital. Said something about a meeting tonight. Seems he and Shou were doing something together earlier...but he was going to stop by and see Izzy for a while before he went to whatever it was..." he answered to the best of his knowledge.
For a moment, he was silent...but then he cleared his throat and spoke again.
"Listen...Hiroki-san...I hate to put you on the spot like this...but I really need to know what happened to Izzy. Everything that happened, no some watered-down children's story. If I'm going to be there for him, I need to understand what he's been through..." he spoke softly, averting his eyes. Really, the young star hated to be this way...but somebody had to tell him the truth, and the whole truth.
Otherwise...he would only be able to be a comfort for Izzy...not an active part of his recovery.
Not...a real part of his life...

Ryu fell silent...the his mouth spread into a Cheshire cat grin. As suddenly as one could imagine, he broke out with a very juvenile celebration dance in his seat. "I knew it! I knew it! I knew it knew it knew it! I guesssssed it! I guessed riiiiiight! You...like...butt-er-scotch! Whoop whoop!" So yeah...he was still the biggest idiot in the history of Japanese pop. That...wasn't ever going to change, it seemed. Still, as he giggled obnoxiously on the other side of the booth, he couldn't help but think how glad he was that he did indeed know Naoko as well as he thought he did. Naoko was right, after all...they hadn't ever been out to breakfast before. Ryu just read him right. Finally calming himself, he propped his elbows on the table, resting his chin in his hands. "Yeah, it's gonna be a big week in general, babes. We'll get through it though. I promise you that. After all...we're the best, ne?" he stuck out his tongue, silly as ever. ~( I’m here )~ Soba ni iru wa~

Laughing...
Naoko really couldn't stop laughing at first, because Ryu was just giddy like a kid.
And a part of the blond really wished he could be like that too...
Adorable and spontaneous...
Out of the proverbial box...
But...
"Really, Ryu-kun... you should be more serious about this... I mean, Shou-san still needs us to prove ourselves with this event. It has to be perfect and..."
Trailing off, the musician's ears picked up a rather... well it was a random song over the restaurant's radio... but it had a nice beat... it was fun...
Seriousness be damned, this was his and Ryu's time together.
They weren't at work.
They didn't have to talk about work.
With his right hand, Naoko grabbed Ryu's own hand in his and pulled, leading them both out of the booth. Then... it was the strangest thing... but... the blond started to dance.
Even though he'd always played the keyboards... that hardly meant he couldn't dance. Maybe not formally... but he could feel the music...
Swinging his hips to the music, he bumped against Ryu, not in a sensual fashion but in a fun way.
A way meant to express the happiness of the music.
Of course, the few patrons in the restaurant... probably thought he was bat s**t crazy...
(((OOC: Naoko is dancing to "Sayaendou"... don't ask... it just popped in my head and I rolled wit hit.)))

I don't want to think about that...But I am anyway...
His blood shot eyes looked up at those amber ones. Sometimes he felt he could be lost in those eye for awhile. So clear and focused compared to his right now. It was hard not to stare. Yes, Kai would be a beautiful star...soon. "Better?" That part he couldn't understand right away until Kai started explaining.
Maybe he could agree with the things Kai said. Sometimes Narcissus was nicer....Chiyou was trying to...grow up. and Kai...yes, he did help Kai get ready to have this big chance.
"You would have gotten here...you'd have become a star somehow even without me. You're driven to your dreams. You'd succeed because you've got that will." he finally said, "But, I'll...be here as long as you need me, Kai." That was his manager self overriding the emotional desperation within. "Thanks. It's nice to hear that."
But the other parts still stewed in Izzy's mind, "If he pissed off someone in SMASH, it was intention on his part. Narcissus is very smart...but..sometimes I don't think he thinks past the moment." A sigh slipped from his lips and didn't have any clue what he would say when Narcissus showed up next.
"He apologized once..I think...but he wouldn't tell me why at the time. Now...I think I know why." It was an aching feeling because parts of conversations over the past several hours were but a blur. "I hope so. I don't want anyone else hurt."
Even as he said those last words, he wondered where Narcissus was. Soon...was not Soon anymore.

"Don't..." Nakai winced slightly at Izzy's words. "I know you mean what you're saying, Izzy... but the work side of you right now... you need to let it go for the time being."
Gently, the blond released his manager, helping the man to lay back against the bed once more.
"You're human, Izzy... like the rest of us. Which means that mask you hide behind that you call work... it has to fall from time to time. Let... let that time be now... with me here. If this is Narcissus' fault... if he apologized for it... then... whatever you're doing must be working. And I... I highly doubt you're just being the manager around him."
Okay, so saying this right now was probably not the best idea, but in Nakai's mind, Izzy needed to relax.
To really and truly relax.
"Be like you are with Narcissus, Izzy. Just let it all go. Relax. Don't think about why you're here... don't think about the pain... forget the work... forget your stars... forget the world outside right now and..." leaning forward, Kai placed a gentle kiss to Izzy's brow as, with one hand, he gently stroked his manager's hair. "...just relax."

"Good because the man really needs to rest. And hopefully, once we get him out of the hospital we can help him recover little by little." Hiroki had every desire to make that come true after all that had happened. His own guilt for all of this still caused him to ache just inside his heart.
"Shou-san...Ah I saw that on the news from early today. I knew that something would occur there. But..still..Mmm..." The thought itched at the back of his mind for a moment but then again because he had expected to tell Narcissus about the contracts as well.
However, Chiyou's other request caused him to pause and stare at the boy for a moment. It was a tough decision on what to tell Chiyou because of other problems that the young man had. His shoulders slumped a little and he pushed up his glasses upon his nose, "Chiyou-kun...Izzy Lucky was beaten then..." He explained out the details to a degree but he said that the events were mostly a guess by the doctors that no one would really know until Izzy opened up. Or until the men were found. But the latter was far more difficult to do without...faces and information.
"So Chiyou, I'm expecting that since I've told you the truth to my knowledge that you will act in a mature fashion and not...I repeat...NOT make any foolish attempts at anyone...Narcissus, Smash or otherwise. Izzy Lucky needs help, he doesn't need his stars doing desperate foolish things on his behalf. Because it would hurt him if something happened to you." Yes, he said it all in one breath but he purely wanted Chiyou to clearly realize that he wasn't joking around. He already had Narcissus wanting to pull stunts, he didn't need to be bailing Chiyou out of Jail or worse.
As soon as he got his answers from Chiyou, he said, "Then take these things back to Izzy Lucky. I'm sure it will make him feel more at home until we can get him out of there."
But then, Hiroki had another thought, "I'll give Narcissus' driver a call because if he's already at the hospital he might have turned off his cell phone. I can let him know you're coming too." And so Hiroki whipped out his phone and called the driver to have him go talk to Narcissus but then he spoke to him for a few moments while a worried look crossed his brow. "He never showed? You're still outside the Blue Elephant Indian restaurant? I'll be right there." He hung up the phone and looked at Chiyou. "I think I've got another problem Chiyou-kun. That I must follow up on. In fact, considering events as they've been, I might have the police involved."
His worry was more than apparent as things ran through his head. If Koyasu-kun...didn't leave with the driver he had called then...Oh god. Where was he! "Chiyou, what is the time stamp on that message?"
Asato Hiroki was going to get to the bottom of this come hell or high water.
Soon he was striding out the door and racing towards his next catastrophe...What else could possibly go wrong!?
