Ahh we're not meant to understand the logic of infinate distance.
If space is endless, there HAS TO BE infinate versions of everything ever, with tiny differences, completely different... everything you can think of.
If space isn't endless, I'd love to know what's sitting there marking the edge, and what's the other side of it. (There can't just be nothing)
So space has to be curved, but in a way that there isn't something outside of the curve, which is impossible right? Imagine shooting a laser into space, if it was curved the laser would follow the curve. So what's stopping you from using the laser as a guide to NOT go with the curve and go in a straight line instead? Which would take you back to going the on forever theory, things being endless and there being infinate versions of everything you can think about.
But if there were infinate versions of everything, there'd be a planet where I'm god, and able to send me a message that the god version of me is out there, which hasn't happened... I think I should go to bed.
AHHHHHHHHHHHH eek

Have you ever lay on your back, looking at the stars on a really clear night, for enough time to convince yourself you're looking down into space?

Try it sometime, it can feel pretty crazy. wink Actually, laying on your back in a quiet field with no noise or trees or buildings around you can make you feel completely alone in space... I've not done it for years! I really wanna now sad But there are too many clouds and it's FREEZING!
