Well to be honest I love the english language. I love the fact that when someone writes they can project an emotion on a person and they can feel it. What I hate is when we are told to anaylise something more then it needs to be.

Yes! Analyzing literature! gonk crying
Yeah, writing it can be fun more often than not unless you're like me and you can't think of anything unless you set up a basic storyline for yourself, then start getting the details set up, and pretty much have to work backwards from your goal to the beginning in order for it to be anywhere near over a page. Then you'll come up with stuff that can fit in other places well that you didn't think of originally, so you trash the idea that you had and start free-flowing the work, and it becomes rather random. >.<; ...not speaking from experience, of course... *cough* >.>;

Yeah, actually, I do more of what you said than what I said earlier. >.>; Then again, my ideas seem to flow together in a semi-coherent manner more often than not. I just need to get some kind of goal set up. High school was hard for me because of that. Everything needed a specific format and all, and they'd basically spell out the paper for you... so I couldn't really write like that. Essays on the final exam were especially horrific. @.@;
Tangents are so much fun though! blaugh I always had such good voice scores on my papers, even though my grammar and vocabulary weren't up to what the teachers wanted half the time, they knew it was me writing the paper all the time by my wordage I guess. I kinda have my own way of saying things when I try to write a paper, even though I try not to write my own way, I always tended to start just going away with opinions rather than facts. >.>; redface whee

So writing tangents was hard for me. My biggest complaints that I get are about my diction (word choice) and audience. I really don't care about my audience and that's a problem, because how am I going to sell something that I'm not aiming at any particular person or group?

Oh yeah, audience was always graded on word choice for us. I just pretty much wrote however I felt that day, so if I felt like using big words and such, then I'd throw them in there randomly. Otherwise, it was really simple to read through most of my papers and get what I was getting across. >.>; Which is a good and bad thing. I think most of the teachers liked reading what I had to write just because it wasn't cut and dry most of the time. That's another problem I usually display, writing in a manner to which I speak. >.<; Like either using you in formal papers when trying to get a strong point across or something and just using random sayings that were only relavent by showing a comparison or for showing how strongly I felt about something. Kinda a comic relief in the middle of a paper. I can't stay that steady minded for a whole 5 paragraph essay... it was rather sad. redface >.>; blaugh

jpyb007 Jebus, that's pretty awesome to be in 300 by the end of what year of schooling? I'm going to shoot for... 2nd? sweatdrop Yeah I'll be a sophemore. xd My friend who'se going to be a junior says it's bad that I've almost finished all my gen'eds too. The only reason that they're almost finished is because I took those instead of the prerequisites for the major last semester. To qualify for a 300 class one must take: EN111, EN211(A, B, C, D, or E), EN205, EN282, and EN215. I've taken all but two of those. xd
