Sevilin blinked. "That was anticlimatic." But a look up to where gas once ported through the ceiling and then over to Malik. "So...youre wife is supposed to make all of that turn into a habitabl surface...good luck with that one." Shaking his head lightly as he crossed his arms. At least he didn't have to even lead his horse too much, it pretty much stuck to it's proclaimed herd leader. All good for him. He shifted lightly in the saddle.

"I don't know if I would call it luck though...large flesh eating creatures are a tad easier to deal with that poisonous gas...you do have a heard of Zephyrs...may help you in that area of keep the gas at bay from Twilight or even removing it from the peninsula..." A tilt of his head before looking to Malik again. "Well...the purians aren't going to be a bother anymore then are they?"

"We can't move the gas." Fact: the gas ate anything that it came into contact. Druidic magic is just as powerless against it as the forms of other other magic. The gas was Malik's new neighbour. The zephyrs would be eaten alive if they touched it, just as the natural winds were.

Puria would remain a dessolate place for generations to come. Stepping on that soil would mean surrending your life to the mists. After the mists disipated in few hundred years, the soil would be too dead to grow anything. It would comsume the nutriens of the top soils for the better part of 10 000 years.

Sevilin merely slanted a glance at the creature that he was trusting less and less, and very much contemplated squeezing whatever magic it was using out of it...after all to be able to shapeshift still on any level meant something of signifigance right now. And Sevilin wasn't above doing such a thing. "Do you come around merely to dispense woeful facts and be useless beyond that?"

He rolled his eyes. That was it, he was moving...this damn plane was going to hell in a handbasket. He would fair better in Andal of all places and he despised Andal. But this place was a piece of underdark just waiting to fall apart that was more trouble than it was worth, full or psychotic elves and others...the lack of the surface probably finally got to them. Well...getting the hell out of here soon as he wasn't tied to Malik anymore. A snicker and shake of his head. "Your home gest lovlier and lovelier every day doesn't it Malik?"

The druid turned an eye towards Sevilin. "Ah, but if you were not so blind you would know the truth of it." His tone was very mysterious and haunting. Friendly to say the least.

"Its probably better to make me your friend instead of your enemy." The druid stated to Malik. "Unless, you see no benefit in the good will of druids."

"I know much of the benefit in the good will of druids. though I imagine we'll be moving soon enough. the gas provides a natural barrier against Deepwater, discourages invasion through that border of land. though when the humans and other elves leave, I suspect Deepwater and Honoursfield will look much nicer to make a home in."

A glance at Sevilin.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. the Twilight Lands are quite lovely to me. the Orcish horde is probably nearly destroyed. the war machine was heading to the Peninsula, and probably suffered the same fate as the purians. which means thier land is ripe for the picking. the druidic allies we may gather will give the land a greenery and sustance. and if not...we can always leave. I mean really, would you like to go back to Andal and be a thorn and Mahlari's side for the rest of your natural life?"

"Or perhaps I don't care either way, druid. A disruption to my life, is a disruption to my life. It's simple as that." And apparently Malik liked druids...good for him. Again, disruption. But a look over to Malik. "I suppose you put it in some good prespective...you'll be the only one left in the neighborhood and have your pick of the real estate." A shrug. "I'd like to be a dagger in her side that slowly and painfully kills her, does that count?" Giving an odd smirk of some sorts...yeah clinically insane and such. But he turned his look back to what they were watching, noxious gas, how fun.

"The warbands that are raiding the contryside are merely the barbarian tribes that roam the underdark looking for easy prey. They were never a threat to you."

The druid looked at Sevilin, "Yeah, disruptions suck. I promise I wont tell you the next time some large, nasty creature that is a threat to your very existance is waiting on your doorstep to devour you. I'll write a memo and leave it in a covient place for you to consider reading, instead of doing anything to prevent the destruction of the land you helped build. I'll be more considerate in the future." The tone was not sarcastic, very calm and controlled as though it were an appology for doing something wrong.

The Vesendarians never moved from their boats as they watched the dragon die. Certain the danger was over, they returned to their homes and began to assess the damage. They steered clear of the noxious fumes hovering around and resumed life as normal.

Niilrik and Dharielle glanced at each other. Unspoken communication ensued and then the Queen shook her head. "It appears it was more or less a false alarm. D'vinn we have no need of your aid and you have no need of ours." Niilrik nodded. "We shall return. Vesendar is at your call if you ever should need us D'vinn. Your people are welcome anytime."

Zahara was entertaining the children with a game of Go Fish since there was nothing else to do. No one had been brought back yet and her shopping lists were all completed. She merely needed to clear it with Sevilin to go out and get what she needed. Needless to say she was restless and wishing that she was out there with them.

Holding onto each toher, piper lead them down deep into this place. There were other hallways, doors, chambers, things like that. They would take the one that seeme dto slope downward still.

Sometime later, the fell into a chamber that seemed to be enver ending. Pillars flew up to meat a ceiling that not even Piper with her gifted sight could see. Leaf could see very little in the dust filled room, but the pilars seemed to be covered in intricate carvings.

"This might be the place."

"Aye, this is just like the other temple, but short one naga and one Lich." Fin said as he felt the carving. He could hear the emptiness of the space, and could feel the aura about the place. Dark, gloomy, probably made by damn dirty dwarves.

He merely raised an eyebrow. Tone meant little to Sevilin sometimes. "Does it matter? It's not be you should be seeing in such situation, I'm not the one who owns the land."

He gave another one of those sighs that he had been giving for a good while now. He was playing the games, but he wasn't really into them too much. Though at some point he had gotten hold of Yinn, who was getting along quite nicely with Nym. "Are they going to be home soon?" Asking that for probably the third time.

A look around. "Let's see...giant chamber, intricate carved pillars...echoy and deep in thr ground. Sounds about right now doesn't it? Though with a place so big, one had to wonder if there's something else in here." It was best to think the worst now wasn't it? "Alright then...let's find this altar and place an orb, then get on with the rest." Starting off through the chamber.

Leaf ran a hand over the carvings, feeling the grooves. The pattern was continuous and angular, obviously a rock motif. She sighed. "It won't be so simple as an alter, I'm afraid. There are peices of these carvings missing."

The druid looked at the cloud of gas. "Aye, but it troubled you nonetheless. Bad news for your employer means bad news for you. So it does not matter who I tell what when, I cannot be held accountable for your duty to the lord. Thus, your perticular dismay over my disasterous news is misplaced and undeserved." Shooting the messenger so to speak.

"Are you suggesting that we have to find a specific pillar to place the orb in?" Fin asked. "That is almost as ludicrist as what we went through in the Etheral Temple."
PostPosted: Fri Feb 16, 2007 3:45 pm

See, she knew it wasn't going to be easy, it was never that easy. So then a walk over to a set of carvings, examining what Leaf was talking about. "Either that or we have to do a puzzle of some sorts before we can place said orb. So then, assuming that, question is where are the pieces...or are they here and just need to rearranged." She hated puzzles sometimes...especially when you were trying to do them in the dark. if it is as simple as placing it in a particular pillar...then we need to know what means 'this is right' and 'this is wrong'."

"Yeah." Leaf didn't exactly like the prospect of such a long puzzle either.

She lifted a borw, pearing at the pillars. "Fin, did Chief ever give you the robix cube to tes how smart you were? Because it looks like these pillars can spin, or at elast parts of them. We need to find a elver of sorts that will turn them." She shrugged. "Or...maybe they have to be manually spinned, I don't know."
