Another drow was swallowed hole. Each moment the heroes waited to leave, another drow got destroyed. It really was not a fair fight for the defenders.
Though, they eventually realized the best thing they could do is evade death, which was pretty hard when your enemies mouth was as wide as your castle (from the drow getting eaten's perspective, it was the size of the castle; to the druid watching, it was only fifteen feet wide), and his feet crushed entire lizards and riders. For a creature his size, he was certianly nimble.
The wings proved to be more decoration than anything else for the first while. Then, when the defenders became more organize and pragmatic, they started to intercept riders and foot soldiers. Much like getting hit with a train, anyone struck by the wings did not get back up. If they lived, they lived in pieces or broken.
A small piece of saliva fell from his lips, and scorched the earth where it hit. A full lugie would ignite a building with no problem. A drow defender, hiding behind a rock didn't stand a chance.

He looked up at his father as he looked down to Malikhai. "Some captains don't." Because they had peg legs and such, but that was something different to argue. But a blink and a nod in affirmation of the memory a little taken aback look at the information as it was expanded on. No no he didn't really want to see that.
Red alarms as Zahara took a try at him. Clever woman using his mother like that, though he was too little to comprehend that fact and the deception that was behind it. Well daddy made more promises...and if daddy's promise was more important because it meant mommy came back, well he was smart enough to know which one was better. And then Zykariel piped up as well. Was it sad that it took four elves to argue down one toddler?
So a turn to his father. "New promise, you gotta come home too and you can't be hurt because you still gotta keep me safe for mommy. Mommy has to come home and you gotta to. Okay?"
Duh, why didn't he think of that. Use the child's mother. Good job on Zahara's part. Thus he sighed and shook his head, walking by his own son and patting his head before grabbing the reins of a zephyr. Still hated horses, but they were the best mode of transportation.

Leaf rolled her shoulders. She did not enjoy going further down under ground, but then she could not understand an elf who wanted to stay in the stoney dark.
"Then down we must go." Her hands slid across the wall, helping her keep her balance. One foot stretched out...and hit nothing.
"Is there a drop ahead of us?"
"Yeah, i thought amybe you pups could.." He winced. "Yeouch, hey, no anesthetic?! Or how about you clean out the wound first, that would be nice."
"As I was saying, iw as hopinh you coudl tell me about that. Thought maybe it was soemtihng to do with her bieng Kin."

Piper didn't enjoy going any further than Leaf, she was a tad claustrophobic when things tended to narrow on her in the underdark. But since she was being an unresponsive mess right now, she didn't care too much about that kind of thing. But a stop, surveying the situation before them...apparently these two couldn't see well. "Well...there's a drop...not a bottomless pit sort...and then there's a thin ledge to the right, and the hallway continues this direction after the...hole..." Yeah she guessed that's what it would be. "Preference to go or thoughts on the matter?"

Ori looked at Roarke before. "A...anesthetic?...cleaning?... come to think of it... even after all the wounds you've recieved from us this is the first time I've had to stitch you up..." Confused she pulled out her cleansor and gushed out the wounds. "All out of Anesthetic though..." she continued.
Adso sat down on his haunches and peered Kon in the eyes. He groweld at her. She growled back. "Says her name is Kon..." He growled some more but the wolf did not respond. "seems she doesn't feel like talking."
Jude sighed. "unfortunatly Roarke we don't know as much about our Kin as we would like, being raised away from them... much is still a mystery to us."
Kaida spoke up. "But she should still have her mind about her when she's in ths form."
Zell shook his head, "Why is she alone? Wasn't she traveling with Someone? perhaps we can ask them..." His eyes fumed with sudden recolection. "She was traveling with a wizard! He must have doen soemthing foolhardy!"

Zahara didn't particularly feel bad that she had to lie. When Malikhai got a little bit older and figured out he could hate her but she was going to fight as dirty as possible to keep that little boy out of the battlefield. She knew Piper would condone her methods too. "Alright then. Come on Malikhai, you get to stay with me." Thus picking that child up and grabbing her own son's hand. "Good luck boys. Don't forget your promises." Catching Sevilin's eye as she said that one with a particular look and a face that clearly read 'you better come back in as close to one piece as possible.' Suddenly her face changed and she set Malikhai down then told both children to stay. Hurrying over she grasped the reins of his Zephry and whispered something to him then leaned up and pulled Sevilin's face down kissing him with all the anger, desperation and fear she felt before she whispered fiercely, "Take care of yourself, Sevilin. You have to come back." Then she let him go and turned back like nothing had occurred. She gave a smile to the children and then herded them to the main area. "Alright now, this is very important so I need you to listen very closely." Making sure she had both boys' attention she continued, "It is my job to take care of those who are hurt. If you want too, you can be my helpers. If you don't you don't have to. I won't be mad and you can just play with Keely while i tend to people."
Zykariel wasn't leaving his mother for all the steel and promises of cookies in the world. He was upset that his father was gone and he buried his face in her leg. "I wanna stay with you."
"Alright. Of course if anything particularly nasty came in, she'd send them off wiht Keely anyway. "Malikhai?"
Vesendar was all but empty. The orders had been delivered and the ranks had moved out including those with small children who would be seeking refuge at Twilight for the time being. Any who were left were labeled cowards, unwilling to fight for their home and the Vesendarians would not mourn their loss anyway.

The dinosaur noticed the march. It was pretty hard to miss with his vantage point, and the clearing. He looked at the defenders before him, and at the larger mass of fleeing drow. He breathed very deeply, making a very loud, roache startling noise, and spew flames at the ground beneath him, offing the defenders in a five hundred foot radius. Several gas pockets exploded from the heat of his fires, and set the outskirts of the city on fire.
Somewhat bad luck for the monster, it started to rain over the city and towards the centre of the peninsula.
With not oppenents before him, he decided that he fufilled his duty (until he had reason to believe otherwise) and now he would get revenge on the one that encourage him and father to attack this land. He turned, and walked towards the Fortress.

Malik handed over Malikhai.
"Deal. new promise, I'll come back okay, and things will be fine for mommy."
then thought.
"Too late for boats. send the lizard legions moving as fast as they can go. the rest of us, get a Zephmare. they can still transport through wind and shadow, and we'll get there faster."
only about half the force woudl get there...but still, at least they new there were renforcments coming.
"Lets get a move on."
and that was that. anyone able to get a zephmare got transported fairly quickly. in time to see a godzilla like creature start stalking after something or other. So how do we get attention? easy enough.
"BloodBath! the Triuverate is here! You have a Debt to pay, don't you? care to enlighten me on teh nature of it?!"
lets see if that got the things attention.

"Right right." Mounting up on his horse, as always making sure he was nicely wedged into stirrups and such...gods hated them so so much. Though boy was he knocked for a loop over Zahara's little display and left dumbstruck for a moment...well...that was interesting now wasn't it? Very very interesting. Though he didn't have too much time to think or comment on it because next thing he knew they were in another place and Malik was drawing attention to them...oh how nice. "Alright, we'll do it your way...we run into trouble, we pull a trump card. Maybe you knowing all I do about runes isn't a bad thing at all."
He was pouty to let his father go, but he had his promise...and that was the important thing now wasn't it? Yes. Well...he didn't want to be alone either. "I'll stay with you...Keely can help too." Because he felt good with Keely around.

Puria had been fighting fof however long, the weren't certian anymore. Time melted together. And yet, they were holding out. Thye foiught in shifts, kept what they could fortified behind the largest of the stites, and they beleived that in tiem they would drive the hordes and the creatures back.
The ceiling...opened up above them. The stone weak from the recent planetary shift. The heavey gas seaped in, spilled onto the peninsula like water, washing over the population.
The hole was covered again, either by some falling rocsk from the sruface world, or some other strange coincedence.
The gas, the thing that killed even magic, had destroyed the peninsula, even as the gas thinned out now that it's source was cut off. Fin and Leaf would return later to find they were the last of the Purians.
Leaf shrugged. "We continue." She placed a hand on the moon elfs shoulder once she found it, "oplease, lead if you will for the moment." She placed the outmost trust in the woman. She grabbed Fuin's hand and pulled him along. In this place, the air was heavy and dusty, it had not moved in a long time.
"Kon? I thought her name was Eliot."
"She was traveling with Warren, the um..poewrful wizard i the red robes. You've probably seen him around." He lifted a brow. "Foolhardy? Warren was not one to take risks, even before he..met Eliot."

Wow these two weren't talkative or input oriented were they? Oh well for her. Though she did flinch slighly at the hand on her shoulder, whee nervous habits. "...alright, we'll continue down the hall rather than down the hole then..." Thus being the one to lead the way across that lead to the wider area on the other side, Piper kicking a rock to see which way it rolled...and if it found anymore holes for. "Hopefully this place isn't too deep or tangled."

"By Innoruuk..."
that was not a pretty thing to see. Gas is bad. especially that gas.
"Get everyone out of here, and right now!"
Backing Ramoth as well from the gas. if Bloodbath made it through that, he'd be impressed...but they'd have to wait. after all he knew they couldn't survive in that.
"Looks like Lady Luck decided to be nice to us. But we'll remain here for a bit and see if Bloodbath survived that. if he did, he certainly will be weakened. if not...we're good. but we'll be here just in case."

Aschellaeon approached Malik on his horse. In his beastual form, he could hardly speak druidic, so he forced himself to change again. He leaned heavily against a rock. "Looks like Puria died." He snorted. "Too bad we were weak." They were dead, he didn't need to mourn. Mourning for the living is shameful, mourning for the dead pointless. If it would bring them back, then perhaps he would. Just perhaps. The betrayers who moved to Deep Water will shed more tears than this half-elf.
"The beast is gone. Melted like a candle stick. Even the goo melted into nothingness."
"You've got a new problem. Now that the forest, the Ents, and the other greenery here is dead, the carbon dioxide released by the nearby magma will cause you great problems. Unless you evolve the lungs of a dwarf in a short time, you may wish the druids well. Whoever's left might make your lands green enough for you to breath. Then again, we might just move north to Wizen Ruins." He breathed somewhat heavily. He used to be able to change shape on the drop of a pin, from anything the size of a mite to dire-bear. Now, with the stress of this time, his mana well drained too quickly if he took forms with less or greater mass than himself, and even then he was limited to quadrapeds.
"About one hundred drow were killed by the beast. Weapons were completely ineffective against its skin. Puria's bane was your victory. Congratulations King Malik."
He pulled out some seeds from a pouch. "Maybe I'll start growing you some air." He dug a small hole and placed the seeds in the ground. "No good. The soil is poisoned." He stood up, "I'm going to go find some good soil." And walked somewhat towards the Twilight Lands.

"So Vesendar is relatively safe. if you could, my good druid..see if you can't get some help in your task. and maybe sent that gas somewhere else...like the drow empire or deepwater or something. or perhaps Salamander's watch."
after all, they owed a certain Nel for this didn't they. a grip on Malvolence, pulling a lot from it...he'd have to gorge it on someone later, to tell the lizard riders to return to Twilight. then his attention went to those with him.
"I haven't forgotten what happened to Sevilin. Or the ringleader of that little event's actions toward myself. But seeing how things have played out, if the druids can move the gas away from the purian area and get it regrown, you're welcome to relocate there. might make it a bit easier the next time you might need to call for aid. Unless the Druids of that grove move there first."
A slight grin there.
