Kon began struggling again when Raorke through her over his back. No foul being was going to kill her off! She was a hunter! She needed to hunt! She did what she could to pur Roarke in as much discomfort as possible . She couldn't force her jaw opne so instead she began throwing her head against his back , constantly trying to beat him.

Aschellaeon resumed an animal form, something between a bear and a hunting cat (extinct native of the Eastern Lakes). He looked at the beast as it slowly ate drow defenders, as there was nothing a lone druid could do this beast even with the stongest of his magics. The beast's reflective property killed Charity the last time it fought here...

The skin, contrary to popular beleif, was of the rubbery texture variety. It had no points or angles for which to grab. A few brave drow melee experts tried jumping onto it, and found the body to be rather frictionless. Perhaps key to its supposid invulnerable armour, but probably not. Arrows that stuck it striaght on bounced away harmlessly (with mutilated arrow heads) which implied that it was not the texture of the skin that made it so durable. It was probably a property acqured through the mixed breeding with demons. When light reflected off its skin, it glimmered with a metalic light. Maybe the skin was liquid mythril, but it did not leave trace amounts on the ground, nor did it misform when hit with a barrage.

A drow attempted to parry a claw, his weapon shattered, as did his arms. The druid snorted. He did not like drow, but he did not like bullies less. The creature knew that it was master here. Which is why it took its time in destroying the city. From the looks of it, he would wait until all the exterior drow were dead before he would start to pry buildings open with its teeth, in a single bite. It could probably swollow most of the buildings whole, without choking.

The druid was pretty close to the creature, he could smell the sulphyr in its breath, and he could see the drow fending their homes very valiently. The Ents seemed to have abandoned this place, as the tree line receded away from the city. They must have cut down trees to build some of their homes. The Ents would not help them.

A small field mouse sat next to him. A native of the North East lakes that rat was. It whispered something in Druidic, which could only be understood by Druids (even with the aid of psyonics and magic). The druids were pressed into defending every boarder. The land seemed to be reverting back to the feral place it was prior to the Great Rebellion. The field mouse scurried away, and left Aschellaeon to watch somewhat helplessly.

How he wished he could at least use Dessert Coffin to break the creature's leg. But, if he could use Dessert Coffin, the Blood Bath could use his spells. Even the drow who were immune to those would find that their weapons were not.

He cringed. This would not go well if someone did not figure out how to get passed the skin. Acid might work...

"alright. then you come with me."

And he marched himself out to the stabled, mounting himself up onto Ramoth.
his soldiers were well prepared already to go.

"Feel free to mount your horses or whatever you travel with. the ships I commissioned from Roarke lord knows how long ago seem to have found a use. we'll head to the area of the Purians. ships are docked there. the three of them should support all this."

Sevilin had a different opinion and he turned on his heel a moment, following after Malik. "You can't possibly be serious about bringing that with you..." Raising an eyebrow in that 'how is that possibly a smart decision on your part' way. Crossing his arms over his chest and yes was probably more or less staring down Malik even if he didn't know he was doing. What was he trying to do, distract himself or break the kid in early for battle situations?

Hey he had no problem with it, his child logic was saying everything was alright and there would be no need to worry at all. All was well.

Leaf just shrugged. "I do not use magic. I never have, and I do not intendt to. Fin can." She pause a moment. "I do not know the extent of his abilities." Fin just smiled.

The three of them descended underground. For her and Fin it ebcame utterly dark. She kept a hand on the wall to feel her way, and did not slow their way. "There are no aircurretns in here. We must be careful if we enter a new chamber. It may not have any breathable air for us."

Her thumping around put an aweful strain on his ingured shoulder, and she knocked him good around the head a couple of times. He made it down into the manor where the sandy training room had been set up. Here, he tossed the wolf to the floor without much care or cerimony.

Lucky for her, she could still see perfectly, and her eyes actually were giving off the faintest bit of light into the darkness. Though it probably wasn't enough to do anyone else any good. She mostly watched her feet as she walked...would be hell to trip in this place. "We have an air current should we need to flush air, no worries." Giving a whistle that echoed around her. Then she stopped a moment, blinked, and whistled again this time listening to something. "Doesn't sound like there's too many off shoots from where we are now... got that key on you?" Reaching a hand back to touch one of the two's shoulders, she wasn't looking to know, so they knew where she was, in that 'hand it over' gesture. Sometimes items reacted to where they belonged...magic here or not.

Kon lay where she had been thrown, smoldering with anger.

The pups had shown up with in moments, knowing that Roarke, they're sensie had entereed.

Jude looked down quizickly at the bound wolf. He bent and sniffed her. He looked back at Rorake. "This is a strange wolf... there are two smells mixing with together... What is this? why have you brought her here?"

Malik reared Ramoth.

"I don't break my word."

His eyes caught Sevilin, and there was a staredown. Malik had no intention of letting his son get hurt, but to betray his trust now, with his mother gone, would be just as bad if not worse.

"If you can convince him to stay with Zahara, feel free. This is not something I want him to see, not someplace I would take him. but I won't break a promise."

Surely Sevilin could understand why. breaking this one, but all the other promises, like his mother's safety, teetering on the edge. if one coudl be broken, what about the others.

Haldir watched his soldiers fend off the monsters of the Deep, and push back the advance of the Western Wall orcs. The primative creatures did not stand a chance against the Elves who survived the Fall of the Kingdom. Drow may have destroyed their homes, but certainly made monsters out of the survivors.

This reminded Haldir of the time he and his compatriots fought off the Balrog that followed the elves into the Dark. Each elf lord slew one of the demons. It was a long time ago, but the elvish memory could recall it as though it were yesterday.

The Manor was secured by Prince Tarathiel's private army. Casualties remained low, two elves bumped their heads getting out of the Barracks (formally the Sailing SHip Judgement), and one scrapped his knee when he was showing off. Haldir repremended him for that bravado.

All that really remained, was making sure that the Prince was well, and well taken care off. He felt that Tara-sama was safe. A runner returned providing the news that Onyx was near the boy, which comforted the (powerless) geomancer. Onyx was good to Aella, Aella was keen to Tara-sama, which in turn, made Onyx good for Tara-sama's protection (as Aella would die for him, and Onyx for her. A sad circle of love, but it worked meracles.)

Securring the southern banks of Honoursfield was much more successful than seccuring the Northern Wall (Part of the West Wall that curved north of Honoursfield). Elric and Avon went to meet the challanges there, and have not reported back since. Celleste is confident in their ability to at least rally the farmers and malitia until a sizable force from Deep Water can aid them, if Deep water could spare the soldiers. Cell cursed that Shield and the dwarves lived so far away, and she, Orko and Rydia were useless in this Time of Troubles. Perticularly, she felt outdone by Rydia's and Orko's scientific knowledge and capable engeneering skills. She felt very stupid because all she could do is provide strategic guidance.

Cedric wondered into the Manor some time ago, rather broken. His fight with what is assumed to be rementes of Demi-Lich Dimitri's army drained him quite thoroughly. He fell into a bed, and barely noticed his magic was cut off when he awoke.

Haldir started his soldiers building a palasade and trench to create a passive defensive measure to prevent minor incursions from the less threatening beasts. (Those that were a problem, would plow through the defences while taking a barrage of deadly arrows.)

Orko said that he would build some siege weapons and devices to stave off some of the intruders. Rydia said she could build better weapons and armour for the Elfish soldiers.

It was good timing for these warriors to arrived when they did. Without them here and now, Honoursfield may have fallen to the horde of darknesst that awaited this moment to strike.

Deep Water didn't notice the loss of magic, nor did the earth quakes or sea monsters affect the physical city. Many fishermen got killed, ships were sunk, but overall, not much changed.

Well, except people were forbidden from leaving the city without distinct permission from the king, the gates were locked.

The city was located on a small island, off the shore of Puria and Honoursfield. This is not the first time quakes and mobs of angry sea monsters attacked. It was probably the largest in the last hundred years, or so. The city was built to fend off these things, and the cavern roof above the city was cleared of loose stone and stalagtimites by Kimmuriel, which meant little in the way of falling rocks to damage the city.

The people might get hungry, in a couple weeks if they don't get ride of the monsters and rebuild their ships.

The king took in a new councilor, much to the dismay of his court.

Shield and his dwarfkin never knew about any of the events. He was fishing when it all started, and he was fishing now. The mine made the water outside of the complex rather unsavoury for most creatures. Which is why the fishing was bad. Nothing to eat, meant nothing to do the eating. Thus, the dwarves were safe from every evil about the loss of magic. ( A few mine shafts collapsed, but that was unavoidable misshap that occured regularly due to the soft soil in some areas of the ore barring rocks.)

"Hey Leaf, you brough the keys right?"

"Fin, you said you had them."

"No I didn't."

"Yes you did."

"But, Lore said that he gave them to you?"

"I do not have them."

"I do not have them." Ther were some noises, scuffling, something that sounded like a slap upside the head. "I mean, here it is." The round earth orb was passed to Piper.

Roarke sighed. "You pups don't recognize her at all? Take a good look, a good snif." He stripped off his shirt, got one of the pups to take a look. "Probably need some stitches."

Now was a fine time to pick to be stubborn over something and let the toddler win. And no, Sevilin's gaze didn't waver at all from Malik's. "You have three options then Malik. One, you stay here with him. Two you go, bring him, but you stay in the back ranks and you don't go near that thing, stand by and watch while everyone else does the work. Three, he doesn't come at all and you can have your way on the field." Sure, he understood...but that didn't mean he should go ahead and do something stupid.

If Sevilin had his way, he would just pluck the child off the horse and then would cart inside, lock him in a room if need be. But he highly doubted that the manhandling of his son would go over well with Malik. Though he wasn't above scare tactics. "You should know that if you go, you might get your father hurt because he has to watch you before he watches his own back."

He blinked at Sevilin a moment...him and Malik may be able to stare each other down, but Malikhai couldn't. That was that look that grown ups got when they were serious and the one they also got when you were bad. He hadn't done anything bad. So he pouted slightly and then leaned back against his father. "Daddy won't be in trouble, he'll just tell people to do things like always." Forgetting the part where Malik very much would cross swords on the field wasn't he?

Thus another look to Malik in that 'see, the child doesn't even now what he's expecting'. It was grand the things parents could exchange with just a look." He was sorely tempted to just tell the child he wasn't allowed to go, end of story.

That was slightly amusing...she probably would of laughed had she not been in such a bad vibe of a mood. After all, she could see what was going on now couldn't she? Though her eyes were more focused on looking for any danger that was around the place. Though something round dropped into her hand and she brought it in front of her, giving it a look over. "Orbs eh? She guessed a moment at the way they were walking and then set the orb on the ground, giving it a little shove with her boot, watching it roll a bit before it slightly changed direction and came to a stop in a groove. "Thus place slops down...who wants to bet this thing's alter is at the bottom?" Walking after the orb, picking it up.

Jude didn't bend to smell the wolf again, but the others gathered around Kon, and sniffed. Alll of them were confused. They had never met Eliot before but...

Zell spoke up. "She is Daz's daughter isn't she? This is eliot..."

Ori moved to Roarke's back and peared at the torn skin. She sighed and pulle da bone needle and thread from her back pocket. "You're right, these will need stichtes." She proceeded to Stitch up Roarke's back.

"But... she does not smell like Kin... she smells like... well like something is wrong..." Said Adso.

Zachadia spunn a blade about his fingers. "I dont' like seeing her tied up like this..."

Malik looked down at his son.

"I don't stay in the back and give orders. like a pirate captian, I fight with my men. still want to go then, into the dragon's maw?"

A slight smirk. though malik wasn't beyond staying in the back and giving orders if he had to. but he'd prefer to let his son decide to stay behind on his own.

"You remember how upset you got when dad and Arthur had that fight in the arena? it's going to be worse than that. blood everywhere, pieces of elves all over. you really want to see that?"

Zahara knew she wasn't winning and finally she watched as Sevilin went off to go be the valiant hero. It sucked to be the one who had to stay home sometimes. But when he picked Malikhai up and she heard snatches of conversation she shook her head. Malikhai could not go into battle. Piper would have a cow. She pet Zykariel's hair lightly. "Alright I'll stay." Feeling the chlid release his death hold on her leg she picked him up and moved closer. "You can't go out there and fight like you would normally with a child Malik. He's going to have these memories forever." Quick, think Zahara. Malik wasn't helping and Piper would have an absolute fit. "Wait! Shut up Malik! You're not helping." She set Zykariel down and walked over to Malikhai getting down to his level and resting her hands lightly on his arms. Beginning casually as though she were telling him a story she said, "You know Malikhai, your dad promised you if he had to go somewhere he would take you with him. But did you know that your mom was made a promise too? She made your dad and I both promise that we would take care of you and keep you safe. If you got hurt...your mommy would be really sad. In fact it would make her so sad that she wouldn't be able to pay much attention to what she's doing. She might not even want to come home anymore. You want her to keep her promise to come home right?" Oh she felt like a b***h, lying to the child but he couldn't go out into battle and this was the only way she could see that would convince the boy to stay.

Zykariel grasped for her hand or the fabric of her skirt to keep her from leaving but then he realized she wasn't actually going anywhere. He stood there, idly twisting his fists in his hands. "Malikhai, didn't you tell me your Mommy was gonna write to you? What if you aren't here when her letter comes?"

Niilrik and Dharielle nodded. "We'll meet you out there. Our legions should be coming shortly. Then we'll go forth and attack." He snapped orders in drow and then listened as Dharielle echoed them adding on her own two cents. "Thank you Malik. We'll never forget this."
