Kibo Botch

PostPosted: Thu Nov 22, 2007 7:27 pm

Kibo snaps his fingers, and the bag of gold he had given them dissolves into dust. He spits at their feet, not bothering to say a word, before leaving with Sunny in his arms. As soon as he steps from the Tavern, they sink into the shadows, reappearing on the Godspeed, in the sick bay.

(( That was mean! When Sunny wakes up she is going to be soooooo upset. *wags finger with disapproval* ))

Sunny tossed and turned as her body began to shudder. Inside her mind there was searing heat as something that had remained locked away since her birth stabbed through the recesses of her psyche and struggled to break free. Her hands clawed at her shoulderblades as tears of pain leaked from her tightly closed eyes and she whimpered. As the skin broke from where her nails so violently scratched her blood seemed to defy gravity as it circled up, down, back, and forth in an intricate design on either shoulder.

What was worse was the trailing blood seemed to be carving the scarifications into her skin. She screamed in agony as the wounds seemed to throb and pulse before healing up into simple scars in unusual designs. On her left shoulder the tattoo looked like that of an agelic feathered wing while the design on her right shoulder was that of a bat-like demon's wing. Her sobs had calmed to weak hiccups as her convulsing ceased. A sheen of sweat remained on her body and her hair lay tangled around her face.

Slowly her breathing evened out into that of a deep sleeper and the streaming tears that leaked from her eyes dried into trails of salt down her cheeks. Her body stilled and her cries stopped. The only evidence that she'd been troubled at all was the crusted blood collected beneath her fingernails.

(( I had to wake up at 7 am after not getting to bed until VERY late. My wake up call was my husband flipping out on the dog who had excrimented all over our NEW comforter... That we were sleeping under. We had intended to go to the DMV for my paperwork to find it was closed. We went to Walmart for a few things only to encounter a bloodbath of rudeness and depraivity. I get back home and as I am about to get back to sleep I get called in to work early. I am recovering from a virus and a turkey coma. I am saddled with 10 hyperactive children.... Damn you, I feel crappy for ranting now. All in all it could've been so much worse so I'll shut my mouth and be glad it's almost over. ))

[-inwardly dies- gonk Forgive me, but I do not take close personal contact well. A...paranoia I picked up when I was ten, after an unfortunate encounter in a dark ally, at night.

Anywho, do you mind if I ask you a rather odd coloured question? Why are you always so damnably cheerful?]

(( Sorry, raised in a touchy feely southern family. sweatdrop As for the cheer... Well it beats being sad and angry. Besides, I've found that I enjoy my life a lot better when I'm making others around me happy instead of being all about myself. For a LONG time I was a bleak and miserable individual with a crapload of issues. One day I kind of stopped and asked myself "Why?" and I couldn't give a good answer. After that I devoted myself into becoming the best person I could and so far live's been good. Not great, but good. lol. ))

[I have never understood why people take comfort from constantly touching friends. Sweeties, family and best mates, yes, of course. But outside of the born and blooded family...well, you've lost me.

You are sounding like Dr. Phill. talk2hand ]

(( Wasn't my intention to sound preachy. My bad. sweatdrop And as for the huggling, a lot of humans freaking need it! So many people would be better off if they were cuddled more. Besides, sometimes it can really brighten someone's day! I've made it a hobby infecting gloomy people with my cheer. They both adore and abhore me for it. Gotta get out all that clutter in your soul and smile. *Resists urge to break into song*))

[Cleaning out souls and cheering up the sad folk is all good and great, but...physical contact? 'Tis amazing what a smile will do to people. And you do not touch with a smile.]

PostPosted: Fri Nov 23, 2007 4:12 pm

((Yes but physical contact has been proven beneficial on several levels. I used to have a hard time with touching too, (still do in some instances), but I got over it. I still smile more than anything, but I do hug. I've been known to hug people just because they look like they need it. OH! Or because I'm REALLY happy and I want to share it. ))

[-Large step to the left- Coma patients are not the same as fully active people, Sunny. It does not affect us in the same way.]
