Slipping through the large double doors, Khaiden looked around quietly. The place smelled old. Really old. But the school was new, wasn't it? Windows high on the large walls sent in streams of light, casting down onto the rough, dull carpet below her feet. In the streaming light dust particles were able to seen by everyone else except her. But she could easily smell the dust collecting on the shelves and in the crevaces between the hard back books. Ears twitched slightly as she took a small step forward. Blessing her ears with the sound of air, it took her a moment to find out where everything was before she felt confident in moving. Soft, deep blue eyes darted from place to another. By her slow, small steps no one would even imagine that she was blind. Delicate fingers traced along the spines of the many books, feeling for an ineresting story. Yes, she felt for interesting clips in the books to find out if they were even worth reading. How could she read if she couldn't even see the words? Easy. She use light manipulation to merge with her pupils. With the dark typing against the crisp, clean pages, she could easily see the words pressed into the paper. Grabbing a thick book from the shelf, she softly stepped over to a nearby chair and sat down quietly, setting the book down on the table before her.

Khaiden sat for a moment, staring into the dark mass of the book. Ears twitched slightly, picking up hushed foot steps behind her. It was nearly impossible to sneak up on a neko, so no way on Earth was it possible to sneak up on a blind neko. The air stilled around her felicate frame and acted as if she heard nothing. Looking from the corner of her eye, she could easily feel the air around him shift as he hastily stepped forward. Tensing slightly, she readied herself if need be, always on the alert for surprise attacks or threats. Cats always had to stay on their feet, right? Turning towards him, she looked up at his face. She could see nothing, only an outline as where the air was disturbed. He obviously had an accent, ears twitching slightly at his secretly slurred words. Her black ears wavered for a moment, swiveling against his tone. She then looked down at her palm, a slender finger brushing against it. She gave no effort to speak, only shaking her head softly to decline his offer. She didn't seem to trust him, but then again she didn't seem to trust anyone for that matter.

Khaiden listened to him for a moment, looking down at her palm. She then glanced towards the book, staring into a deep white. She could see nothing except disturbances in the air. Blinking slightly, she adjusted herself as the room got brighter, an open window sending in a draft to confuse her sights. Grabbing the book, she hugged it close to her chest, not even bothering to look up at him. She had almost believed him, but she still didn't trust his tone. She could sense anticipation in his tone, and she never took lightly to it. "What class?" she asked, a brow quirked slightly. She didn't even wait for an answer, pushing back her chair as it quietly skid across the thin layer of carpet covering wood. Keeping the book close to her, she gave an irritant flick of her tail as she stepped off towards another table. She was stubborn, but most of the time she was right.

Khaiden rolled her eyes, leaning froward as she opened the front cover of the book. People around here were so annoying, it was almost unbelievable. But she was prepared for attack, just as she always was. Once he grabbed her arm, she felt her magic draining. Her slight vision blurred into a haze, but she could still tell where she was. Before he could react, she slammed a hand down onto the desk, a loud smack ringing through the library. A bright light flashed between her hand and the desk, quickly rising up to her elbow. She stood, the chair shoved backwards as it tumbled to the floor. Her arm had merged with the wood, forming a sword like extension from her elbow. It was sharpened to the edged where it cut just like metal. She twisted her waist around and swung the new weapon towards his side with a screeching sound emerging from the split air. All of this occured in a matter of seconds. Blink and you might miss it.
