Noticing Parmida's unspoken question, Selma gave a nod and moved to stand next to her, looking behind her to make sure Vincent would be alright.

Parmida turned to see what Selma was looking at, and saw Vincent. She counted heads, and saw that there was only five of them, teacher not included. Partners meant two. So who would Vincent pair up with... or would there be a pair and a trio practicing?

"Allright," boomed the teacher. "You there, without a partner. Work with me." His gaze swept the room. "If you do well, we'll move onto a basic attack pattern. Master that and we get our first practice battle. Understood?"
Tali nodded. "This is going to be fun. Ready Niki?" The boy turned to his partner, brushing brown bangs out of his face.

Niki grinned a huge smile. "Ready!" She stated, a little loudly in her enthusiasm. Hardly unable to contain herself, the girl bounced forward to stand in front of Tali.

Parmida turned to hear the teacher and nodded. She understood. At least, she thought she understood... She turned to face Selma, and gave a small smile, trying hard not to show her nervousness with this whole thing. Were they to push each other over? She had a feeling her palms and shoulders were going to be sore from repeatedly hitting the ground before this day was over...

Selma wasn't sure about this whole idea. Fighting in any form wasn't her general idea of fun. She looked at Parmida, with a somewhat aprehensive expression. She was hoping the other girl had a better handle on what it was they were supposed to do. At least Tali and Niki seemed to understand...
"Who first?" she asked Parmida

Parmida hesitated. Selma looked as though she didn't want to do this either. "I guess I am," she stated slowly, deciding to spare Selma as long as possible. But now that it was decided she was first, what should she do next? Drop and roll, or wait for a push... She looked towards Niki and Tali, hoping they would provide some hints.

Tali grinned widely and shoved Nikiana. How wonderful it was to finally be able to play without geting yellled at.

The teacher crouched down in front of Vincent and smiled. "Didn't want to pair up with the girls? I don't blame you, they generally don't take this lesson well." Vincent narrowed his eyes and pressed his lips into a tighter line.
The teacher looked Vinny up and down then grinned. "Recon you were watching what I did? Good, now, ready or not!" Vincent was not very ready and when he tried to roll like the teacher he ended up face planting on the mat hurting his nose.
This wasn't going to do. He jumped back onto his feet and turned to the teacher his fists clenched and shoulders squared. "Again!"
The teacher grinned and brought his hands up. "That's what I like, a little fire!"

Eyeing Tali, Niki and Vincent, Selma figured it was the best demonstration she was going to get before having to embark on this journey herself. Sighing she turned and caught Parmida's attention to make sure she was ready, before taking a deep breath, closing her eyes and giving her a shove.

Nikiana had turned her head to see something out of the corner of her eye and only barely spotted Tali's push from his movement off to the side. Caught a bit offguard, the girl forgot everything the teacher had said and fell square on her butt. Frowning, she got back up, glad that the man was a bit busy with Vincent at that moment.

Tali bit his lip gently. "Sorry..." he muttered after Niki fell straight backwards. He watched from under his bangs and tensed slightly waiting for Nikiana's push.

Parmida had been watching elsewhere, thus was surprised to be pushed over. She did a semi-roll in mid-air and slapped the ground with both palms, wincing at the impact as she forced her elbows to remain straight. She finally collapsed her elbows, laying on the ground for a moment. She finally shoved herself upright, turned towards Selma, sighed, nodded, then pushed.

Nikiana shrugged. "Tis okie." She grinned eagerly and reached out to push Tali. This was fun!

Prepared for once, Taliesin was ready for Nikiana's push and fell easily, landing on his side and rolling onto his back. He jumped up ready once again.
