With Kaito holding onto Avalanche, Selina watched as the section of the temple collapsed upon itself. Her chakra sensory saw Kenshin rescue Hajime from the jowls of entombment. Unfortunately, none of the good news the gang brought forth mattered in the face of Sandayu's revival. Despite this, Selina did feel slightly at ease with the fact that the force he manifested as did not denote the same frames of power which the real version had. She was going to need to research the topic further in order to denote the relevance it had for the future. However, her idol smile returned to her when Kaito inquired about the massive shot of power she used to try and defeat Sandayu.
"You know what they say. Go big or go home." She said in a cutesy, disarming manner. It was her duty to provide stability for the youths of the village. Even though she herself was terrified, she could not allow her allies to also be concerned with this possible reality. "Your friend needs some rest, but they should be alright. Why don't you bring them back to your house? I'll make sure that your service is duly noted, and that your record is as clean as whistle." She said with a wink. Selina then turned to Obei and gently brushed the forehead which was damaged by the horrible barrier. "You got yourself hurt twice because of me today. I truly am sorry." She said gently. While Selina was ready to throw herself into any troubling situation, she was disappointed with herself for allowing her dearest friend to get caught in the crossfires. Obei was so delicate, and she needed to be protected at all cost. It was for that reason Selina shared with Obei her chiru bloodline's abilities, and utilized her flower petals to restore the wounds endured upon her between both fights.
Finally, Selina turned to Kenshin, who had Hajime with her. "If he is back, then you should discuss it with the Goddess. I think your prayers might be able to reach her, but not here." She said soundly. Selina knew that Kenshin's last revelations came to him when he was alone with the goddess, which meant logistically speaking that was where he would get another vision. Selina turned to Hajime and gave him a warm hug. "Thank you for everything you've done in service for Arashi." She said as she let go and looked him deeply in the eyes. Her sincerity was genuine, as Hajime's participation drastically reduced the trials and challenges the group as a whole faced. After all, if he did not bravely challenge that puppeteer, then the group would have had to deal with him as well as his robot army. Since he was a rogue Selina felt it was even more important to give him proper praise, as the good will to protect others came from him out of instinct, instead of duty.

He gave Selina a curt nod at her words, sparing a worried glance at Avalanche. "I'll let them rest up, see if there's anything important we should know from the kidnapping, anything they might have seen. After they've rested up, of course." Though he used the language expected of an APD officer, it was evident on his face that his heart wasn't in doing his job now or anytime soon; he was going to prioritize Avalanche's health over an investigation without hesitation.
"Should have a report by the end of the week. I'll catch up later." He gave a brief moment for any further directions from the group, then took off with his wing technique to fly back home so Avalanche could sleep this all off.

__ Kenshin immediately jumped off of Hajime once they were clear. Before he could chastise Hajime for his recklessness he was shocked by the sight of the temple's rubble. This was where he unlocked his Tenseigan and declared himself a champion of Evergreen. He stepped away from the others to bow his head and pray. It was clear what needed to be done to absolve the temple's desecration. With his head bowed and his eyes closed, he quietly listened to Selina's advice. "No, this is the only place. I'm a Templar of Evergreen and will restore the natural order." His head rose and his eyes opened. Cyan chakra covered his body before he clasped his hands together. The bright chakra expanded and coated the immediate area. Onlookers would view Evergreen's temple be reconstructed before their eyes. Once this was done, Kenshin immediately dismissed his power to non-enhanced white eyes. He quickly stepped into the temple and ignored the others in order to meet his obligation. Kenshin sat in the middle of the temple in the exact spot he meditated in five years ago before Kogarashi's invasion. He began to feel the natural energy surrounding him and mentally called to the higher power.

As Kenshin closed his eyes and breathed, he would feel the weight of the world slow down around him. As soon as he opened them again, he would find that time around him was frozen. Or at least, significantly slowed down. The world around him seemed to move, but it was all in a distorted static. It was something those outside of Kenshin's perception would not notice, as they would feel nothing wrong. For Kenshin, however, he would know this to be the absolute power of Evergreen.
"Good afternoon my child." The voice echoed from behind him. In the doorway of the restored temple stood the goddess herself. She took a form which was different than when Kenshin met her five years ago, although the elegance of which she spoke did not alter. Again, no one but Kenshin would be able to see her, let alone interact. "Are you well, Kenshin? This is the first time you have needed to summon me since the tragedy of Kogarashi." She said softly. Kenshin was someone who the Goddess found great satisfaction in the faith she placed upon him in order to provide balance to the world. The powers of the enhanced eyes have done wonders for ensuring tranquility, and her influence of power has not been stronger since Kenshin's resolved quietly influenced countless others to partake in the religion. After all, there was nothing stronger to a cause than a devout believer.

As well as all of this, there have been rumors about tailed beast worshippers and even a massive army that's stirring in an unknown land." He did not assume that it was all connected but his meditation had been leading him to the suspicion that they were on the precipice of unexpected chaos. The Half Decade of Peace was bittersweet to Kenshin because as the world was rebuilding itself in Kogarashi's wake then there was undoubtedly going to be a new source of dismay to take their place before long as that was the natural order. "Do you know of Sandayu and Jashin's activity? We've had five years of order but we're starting to see chaos once again. What will I have to prepare for as a sentinel of this village and as a templar of your faith?" These were the questions that Kenshin desperately needed answers to but was unsure of what Evergreen could offer him. At the very least he knew that she would at least attempt to support him where possible.

Evergreen kept her knowing, maternal smile as Kenshin spoke about his woes and concerns. There was a slight break of her facade the moment that Jashinish cultist were mentioned. If Kenshin did notice this, then he would also notice that she showed no concern over Sandayu's apparent revival. Despite her brief moment of concern, she made sure to remain in composure for the sake of her devout knight. "You already bear the weight of this village on your shoulders, Kenshin. Allow me to relieve that burden, if only ever so slightly." Evergreen said as she extended her hands toward him. Her open palms gathered chakra which started to manifest into a hole of black energy in front of her chest. Evergreen's eyes closed as light burst through the hole, and a two dimensional screen manifested. The screen displayed the faintest vision of Sandayu, as Kenshion remembered him, on the other side of some kind of barrier.
"Whatever this Sandayu cult performed, it did not return the one who wrought devastation among the ninja of this world. Still, I would like for you to follow through on what exactly they did perform. There's a lot of alternative roads to renew a spirit, some of which are worse than even resurrection." She said solemnly. Despite her warning, she still radiated a calming aura from her being. Her hands lowered and the screen dissolved. Her gentle green eyes fell silently on Kenshin. "Your concern is admirable. And I will do my part to intervene with the Jashinist. For now though, relax. I don't have the gift of foresight, but something is going on in the world as we speak. A number of my divine children have not answered my call, and I wonder what possibly could have happened. I will try and pry, but while I do, ensure that nothing happens to your friend, Selina. She is imbued with my daughter, the spirit of the chiru clan. Their lives are tethered, so as long as Selina lives, so will she." As soon as she answered, she took a deep breath. She wanted to give Kenshin a moment to respond if he needed to, since his faith kept her alive when that traitorous fool killed her.

That was much more concerning to him considering that Jashin was undoubtedly the darker and stronger force in the universe. Would Sandayu even be strong enough so soon after death to intervene in the mortal realm?" It was not clear if Evergreen would have the answers to the detective's questions. Evergreen's raised ever so slightly at Kenshin's inquiry. For someone whose only existed for such a short fragment of time, his questions resonated with a much deeper, more intimate understanding of the flow of the universe. If he was not such a devout follower then Evergreen would offer him courtship in return for a celestial child. As it stood, however, the man's heart belong to another woman, which Evergreen had no intention of interfering in. "It is possible, but I doubt that to be the case. Jashin is... tricky to define. Your language does not have too many words which define the horrors he spews, but evil like his does not hide itself behind the facades of other faces." She said solemnly. "As for Sandayu, even I did not foresee his ascension beyond this realm. Now that he does exist beyond this realm it will be well within my abilities to keep him away from the world. That is what I have done with Jashin for thousands of years, and that is what I plan to do with Sandayu." Evergreen's voice returned to a more nurturing tone. "You are wise to inquire, and I will not hide the truth beyond your eyes. But there is a time and a place for every question to be answered. Those within the area of the blast have a knock-back effect applied if their body rank is lower than the parent technique. Nuibari Attributes • Infinite Needles | While Nuibari functions perfectly fine as a long, thin blade that sits between a Jian and a Foil. It's comprised of infinite, instantly replenishing needles. If an opponent is stabbed, the blade will leave several needles inside of the opponent. It also never runs out of string either, with one at the base of the weapon, and one attached to each needle. Similarly, unhindered, the weapon always comes back when thrown for the techniques below, and can be pulled to the user free of activation via its wire so long as the nigh-invisible string is not cut. • Thread the Needle | This skill increases the speed of the wielder moderately while Nuibari is wielded.

A familiar sound would bring both Kenshin and Hajime out from the rubble just in the nick of time. The pale oni looked relieved that her friend was in good health. She went forward and gently pat Hajime on top of her hand. She was worn and battered from her efforts but happy that this was yet another way for her to help out at the village. As Selina approached, Obei knelt down to her and felt the woman's warmer hands brush against the wounds that the barrier had caused her back in the temple. One of the downsides of being so tall was that you had a tendency to not fit in places well. She apologized, to which Obei also frowned. "Suh-Lee-Nuh no get Obei hurt. Obei hurt beauce of Obei." The flower petals returned her form as the two shared another moment together. Obei blushed a little at her flowery embrace while her cold ones would gently push aside Selina's. Once she pulled away, Obei would take hers alongside her while looking down at Hajime as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Obei glad Ha-Jee is ok." Obei said, arching an eye at his question. Getting lunch did sound fun after all. "Only if Suh-Lee-Nuh want." She said, looking at the woman.

Kameyo released her sage mode as she approached the temple, her passive sensory radius taking her from the office towards the place of worship as she hunted down Obei. It wasn't like her to take menial tasks from her students, but Hajime hadn't asked much of her before. "Obei?" She said as she approached the tall woman. "I have, uh, something from Hajime." She bit back a comment about him being a coward; while she would think it funny, Obei might take offense and Kameyo wasn't looking for a brawl.
The letter was clearly already opened, Kameyo being her usually nosy self, but the box looked untouched.

I was gonna try and buy the Kiba Blades off that curly haired kid, but they are just a dream from my childhood. I'd rather you buy yourself a home with them. Kojiro entered the temple, unsure exactly what force he had sensed emanating from the temple. His attunement to energies thanks to his Senjutsu abilities could alert him to many, many things. As he approached the center of the temple he saw Kenshin before a somewhat familiar goddess. " Evergreen?" he said lowly to himself. While he had learned to harness sage mode, it was widely different from the way Kenshin had obtained his. Kojiro's will was what drove him to that pinnacle so he wasn't accustomed to witnessing gods and goddesses...not since Sandayu's defeat. He sighed, awaiting Kenshin's meeting to end as he thought it to be rude to interrupt what could be prayer.
• Way of the Hatake | Rank E | Passive The clan member can convert simple Formless Taijutsu and Bukijutsu to complex techniques, this adds the lightning element to all the user's techniques. In addition, Formless complex and spiritual techniques gain this lightning affinity as well if specified when utilizing the technique. • Fluid Movement | Rank E | Training Techniques used for a blocking, countering or evasive action have their cost reduced by 5 stamina per rank of the technique and must pay no less than 5 stamina. • Whirlpool Walking | Rank C | Training The user is now more adept at using circular footwork and can use it against multiple attackers, usually weaving between them, keeping them bumping into each other or simply getting in each others way, taking away any numerical advantage. Also allows for one handed seals. {The Overwhelming Trait does not apply to anything above S} • Mystic Hero [ Bukijutsu ] | The user has become adept at blending their ninjutsu and bukijutsu. The user is able to cast ninjutsu from their weapon without the use of hand signs by simply pointing the tip or blade in the direction desired to launch the technique. This requires the same amount of time as the forming of hand signs to cast ninjutsu. They are also able to Korabo 1 ninjutsu and 1 bukijutsu at their body rank and below for a single activation every 3 posts. The user also gains an additional 3 ninjutsu slots each body rank. • Ninjutsu-Bukijutsu | Allows the user to gain +2 ninjutsu per rank. Allows one to convert granted Ninjutsu slots into Bukijutsu styles at a 10/1 ratio.

"Your student awaits you my dearest knight. Do feel free to call again when something urgent arises." She said as her body dissolved into a stream of green and yellow petals. Time would resolve normally for Kenshin as the entire talk only went on for a few seconds in the real world, even though the moments between them were much longer.
