that doesn't mean much considering that not only is the age of consent in japan 13, but half the characters in this rp are hundreds of years old, and I garaun-damn-tee that there is going to be at least one demon/human relationship before all is said in done, so that pretty much nulls out any sort of age concerns. That's the kind of thing where if your gonna set it in a foreign country and have all these fantastical elements you gotta revaulate how cultural norms would apply to these situations, because chances are they aren't going to be applicable in that altered setting. I mean literally no one would bat an eye if the 520 year old demon hooked up with someone over 499 years younger, but the four year age gap between 21 and 17? pure blasphemy for sure. That kinda logic doesn't hold up when you think about it, oddly enough, logically.
and if it's conversation your looking for you can throw Lloyd out the window, unless you want to have a conversation with a wall, granted that wall is a great listener, still a wall though.
You'd think having taking a sociology class last semester I would of known about social norms lol. But you do indeed make a very valid point, and a 4 year age gap isn't that bad when you think that there are married people with 10+ years between their age.

yeah, it's an issue in general some people have when rping. It's important to be able to seperate your views and values from that of your characters, because otherwise your character is going to start acting unrealistically because they're acting like they've had a completely different upbringing/ life views they should have. Alot of people have a problem getting the disconnect, though oddly enough it's always on the less extreme things. Like I've had some people play sociopathic murderers without giving it a second thought, and then turn around and ask if I was gay because I play cross dressing characters sometimes. It's like "dude, do you go around stabbing hookers every night? Ofcourse not, it's a character not a personal biography"
But yeah, Lloyd is probably to similiar to Aiden for that to work, since he has alot of the same issues with abandonment and keeping himself locked up emotionally. Though they'd probably sympathize with each other at the very least. After all someone who understands true betrayal themselves would never do it another, so there's a sort of security that comes with both people being afraid of betrayal, so long as they understand each other's fears. For example I have a friend who just went long distance with his girlfriend, but it's the sort of thing where both of them fear being cheated on or loosing each other that neither one actually has to worry about the other doing anything, it's oddly comforting I guess.
Though Remus might be a good match after all, he's highly educated, trained in etiquette and polite conversation, all the usual pish posh rich nobleman stuff. Not to mention so pwetty...lol

lol just giving you a hard time...sounds fun, though kinda absurd with all these characters developing drama over a dance circle. we could just switch over genres entirely and make it a spunky dance movie like step it up or just bring it.

I know back in the day my parents had to go through such when they arrived - rather they made a request for citizenship and then met with a judge, I think, and some others who asked them questions… it was kind of like an exam of sorts where they asked them questions about Canada. But that was around 70’s - so much has changed I am certain. But now I am not sure if applying to be a resident is the same thing as citizenship. But that is wonderful then that her daughter will be able to come over as well. How sweet of you! I quite like living here in Canada myself, but I am not very traveled either - so there is some bias on this end. Hehe. But generally I have found people to be kind/ warm in nature. C:

Ah, no worries. Honestly, I don't pay enough attention to this OOC thread, let alone to much of the posts on the actual role play thread (mostly because there's an overwhelming amount of posts and characters, it's difficult to keep up with, unless quoted).
It may have been an opportunity missed for the moment, but that doesn't mean the same idea couldn't happen another time. Though I'm more intent on the development between 'pet' and 'owner' for my character at the moment, I do look forward to expanded interactions with the other demons. After all, they're all a part of a game. Clashing is bound to happen sooner or later.

I used to do the same, but I do admit I'm a bit embarrassed to post or read posts while I'm at school.
And as for plotting for things to come-- I'm open for it as well. I'm afraid I'm a bit of an indecisive person, so I'm up for going with the flow, I suppose.
I'm also praying for snow or ice tonight, as I'm not looking forward to tomorrow's classes, and would much rather prefer to take the day off like 'regular' college kids.
On another note, I'm leaving you (and anyone else that's interested), freedom to suggest things. I'm sorry I'm not much help, otherwise.

I don't know about this time, but it's happened before, unfortunately so. Other countries sent money here for the last disaster and barely any of it reached those in need. Luckily though the other countries are taking precautions this time. They're using a proper organisation to distribute the stuff - I've even seen pictures of US (?) Army guys sleeping on top of supplies so that they won't get stolen xD Ah. Whatever works for them. Oh no, whatever you're thinking is probably more than appropriate! (although maybe not for posting on here haha)

Heyy I was wondering if you'd like Mochi and Lilia to head back to the tattoo parlour together or if I'll make Lilia go on ahead. See, I'm planning on having Lilia pass out from exhaustion (from her work last night, and from the day's stress) and I don't know if I should have it at the parlour or at her house. If the parlour, then Mochi and the demons get more interaction with each other (and Lilia when she wakes up).
So, do you wanna keep them together for now? Or would you prefer Mochi to have more personal demon-key interactions with his own demon now (i.e. I'll get Lilia out of the way)?
