Sophie placed her cut cookie on the tray. She had just put the tray in the oven when she was abruptly interrupted by a bunch of elves. Sophie danced well, put up a brave fight and had she been more prepared or received more training, she may have won. The elves were impressed with her skills and determination and even went so far as to help her up when she fell.
It was magical.
She pulled the tray from the oven, only to realise that her cookie was burnt to a crisp. Well.. Maybe someone liked the taste of burnt, butter disappointment.

You know...the liquid batter was probably an indicator on how horrible the cookie cutting was going to be...The cookie is literally a shape, not a defined shaped, but a shape...of something.

Sophie picked up the red icing and began to ice her 'cookie'. She formed what appeared to be a tie and then used a white candy for an eye and some black icing for a missing eye and a mouth. She looked at her work with pride. It may taste bad, but at least it didn't look that terrible, right? It was the thought that counted anyway, right?
Now, on to wrapping! Sophie rushed the wrapping, it seemed. She wasn't used to working with such delicate materials. The box was squished a little, the paper and ribbon too loose. But it was done and she didn't particularly want to fix it.

Well...at least it came out of the oven okay.
...With how the batter came out horrible, and the cutting even worse...It's a miracle that it even has a shape...
Is this actually edible?

Maybe the past few failures finally caught up to him, but the varcolac finally seem to have done something right. The cookie came out in the humanoid shape as it was supposed to.

The cookie cutting is still going smoothly at least. The humanoid shape retained, and it doesn't seem to be missing any of it's arms or legs...or head.
