Found out the silk hankies I bought ages ago to spin weren't rinsed correctly. I used ten sinkfuls of water to rinse them and they STILL bleeding dye. stressed I have to take a break, I can rinse more later.

Something as easy as adding salt, or sugar, or vinegar or something along those lines... I remember DOING it, but can't, for the life of me, remember WHAT it was we added. Arrgh...if the brain was functioning... stressed I'll try to remember today.

They're not losing color in the hankie itself, it's all just excess so far I think. But there is sooo much of it. eek

Also I need to contact the dyer and let her know what's going on. I don't need a refund, I didn't pay much and I can fix it, but she should know that the hankies are bleeding like crazy.

I contacted her though and let her know what was up, but stressed I'm not looking for a refund. It wasn't an ungodly amount of money, and it's not like I bought them instead of food or paying bills, so I don't need it back.

entervixen Updated with a dice bag I made. Assuming it's from yarn you spun? It's so cute! Did you use a pattern, or just wing it?

Emm-Kaye entervixen Updated with a dice bag I made. Assuming it's from yarn you spun? It's so cute! Did you use a pattern, or just wing it? Yup it's handspun. It's one of the skeins I dyed myself too. And I just winged it. I did three increase rows to form a flat bottom and then stopped increasing, ending it when I ran out of yarn. Then I threaded some ribbon through some of the crochet stitches to form a drawstring.
