After a minute or two, Jarid made his way into the DFAC, he looked around and spotted his sister. Her back was to him and he just walked over silently, investigating what was going on.
Time to see if they notice..

Tobias spotted Jarid creeping up. "And this failed shadow here is Sergeant Jarid Caymen, Alpha Team, 1st Squad, Alpha Troop, 1-10 Cav." He then blinked. "Ok...I stand corrected. Make that STAFF Sergeant Caymen...though I have no idea how that happened. I don't mean to be a d**k, but do you have some kind of paperwork to back this up? Because that's jailtime. I'd rather not see you jailed."

Jarid just narrowed his eyes as he looked at Tobias.
He then presented a sheet of paper with his right hand, while his left gave him the finger right next to it.
"Guess I lost the game there. Colonel said if you didn't notice, you were going to be grounded for a month."

 ⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ Bathsheba gave a friendly smile and nod to Lena. "Nice to meet you Lena. Sorry to bud in on your guys' meal here." She nervously grinned now, scratching the back of her head.
Had it not been for Tobias, Bathsheba would have never noticed her brother's presence. As he was introduced, she looked back at first surprised to see him suddenly popping up. But just as Tobias noticed the new rank, she did too and grinned at her brother without question.
"Congratulations!" She got up from her seat, only to latch onto her brother with a hug. Had she been bigger, she may have tackled him down.

 Sergeant First Class Jhala "Hunter" Yadav, 1st IAU, Oriental Alliance "Today we march to War, my Brothers! We March with our Swords, Our Guns, and Our Zoids. For Victory! Until Death!" Jhala burst into laughter. "I picked my rival well. And congratulations, Staff Sergeant." Tobias shot him a glare, then looked back up at Jarid. "So...did you accept the other offer?" He looked him dead in the eye, knowing Jarid would catch on. Especially since no one else knew about the offer.

Jarid gave a chuckle as his sister latched onto him, his demeanor changed from on the field. He hugged her back, as to made good on the promise in the hangar.
He then looked back at Tobias with a dull stare.
"Yeah, I accepted. If we get stuck with boring missions, it's on your head."

"Let me rephrase that, Tobias. If we get stuck with a mission Anderson won't stop bitching about, you BETTER be able to run track." Jarid replied, his eye twitching, as he looked at the other unfamiliar face.

"It doesn't matter who's fault it is. I think we all know you're screwed without me." She boasted, grinning proudly as she pointed thumb back at herself.
"So less bickering and more telling me how nice it is to have me around to fix your Zoids because you idiots can't take care of them." She chuckled, before she looked back momentarily at Jarid after he asked about Lena.
"No.. Tobias says Lena is a European Diplomat." She answered, looking back to the woman. "What brings you here to Ebinay anyway?" ((Fixed to quote Cuwen - LRR))

"Oh yes, we should ALLLL be gracious you have a job." he teased, before suddenly snapping a glare at Tobias for what he said to his sister.

⊰𝔅𝔞𝔱𝔥𝔰𝔥𝔢𝔟𝔞⊱ Bathsheba threw her elbow back at Jarid, hitting him in his gut for the comment.
"Damn right you should be grateful I have this job." She growled at him. "If I didn't, you'd all be stranded right now in the freezing cold."
"Huh?" Bathsheba looked down at Tobias, clearly confused about what he had said.
"What do you mean..? I thought maintenance teams alw--" She cut herself off as the gears in her head started to turn. Tobias had cringed, like most pilots do when they get called out by mechanics when they bitched about how much they had to fix.
And she and Tobias had a deal that if he ever needed fixing, even if it's a scratch on the paint job, he owed her a trip to Saint Petersburg.
The corners of Bathsheba's mouth went to her ears, the grin beaming with mischievousness.
"So..." She cooed, the grin getting bigger as she bent forward to be at Tobias' level and in his face.
"You need repairs, huh..?"

Jarid gave a grunt at the elbow, but did nothing else, as he figured out Tobias did not mean he was trying to make her a pilot again.
"...Do remember I will have to have a word with you before you take off with my sister, Tobias."

"All you had to do was get a tiny scratch, or damage, and I won the deal." She grinned.
"So, when do we take off?" She asked, rolling her eyes at Jarid. There he went again, with the interview-interrogations....
