Vero went to catch the collar with her teeth but it looped around her head and fell into place on her neck. The bell sounded again as the dog whined and covered her snout with her paw.

Vivian watched the dog covering her nose, wondering what just happened and how the dog managed to miss. It was a perfectly good throw, if she said so herself. "Hey, Vero, you missed. Didn't anyone teach ya how to play fetch, or what?" she joked loudly.

Vero padded over to the the pile of freshly laundered clothing and transformed back to human form. The collar didn't change back into a belt and stayed tightly around her neck. She got dressed and avoided Vivian's gaze.

Swiftly shifting, Vivian picked up on her companion's mood. "Geesh. Didn't think you'd be one to get so upset-like over missing a catch, Vero."

Vero sat on the couch with a sigh. "It isn't that i missed, it's that..." Vero put her hand on the leather strap around her neck. She looked at Vivian. "I told you this collar was a sign of ownership, didn't I?"

"Well, damn. Oopsie! I didn't mean to, Vero!" Vivian said, panicking slightly. "But, what if I order you not to listen to my orders? Then you'd be free, right?" The last thing the young Shifter wanted was to be in charge of someone else. She already had herself and her one other friend. She didn't need another.

Vero shook her head. "It doesn't work like that Vivian, even if you did I would still be bond to follow you around. You might as well give me orders." She could pick on the other girl's worry about owning another person.

Vivian fidgeted slightly, bouncing lightly on the balls of her feet. "So, no matter what, you have to follow me? All because you can't catch?" Not that she didn't mind this new person, it was just that she didn't need the responsibility thrust upon her.

Vero nodded. "If you have a problem with that you could always die." She suggested it jokingly but it is the only way to get rid of her if Vivian really did want rid of her.

Vivian scoffed; there was no way she had come that far just to die to get rid of someone. Not being happy with the comment, no matter how jokingly, she stood up and headed toward the door. "Stay here, if you have to listen to me," she ordered.

Vero sat up, her face twisting into a forced smiled. "Yes Master." Her body was incapable of further movement.

Awkwardly, Vivian sprinted out the door, not sure how to take that last comment. All she knew was that she was not thrilled with that comment about dying at all. She'd have to do some massive thinking before going back to the home.

She better be back soon! Vero thought as she clenched her jaw. If Vivian didn't return to tell her that she could move again, she would be stuck in that position until the younger shifter's life was ended.
