"Tell you what; we'll call it a day for training, and take a rest before going hunting." Pebblestar meowed, feeling tired herself. She got off Darkpaw and sat by the base of a tree as she caught her breath.

Pebblestar followed after her apprentice, and back into camp. She took a deep breath before going to sit in a patch of sun.

Poppyfur sat in the middle of camp next to her brother Fuzzytail. She spotted Darkpaw and Pebblestar coming back into camp and smiled. She wished she had an apprentice of her own too.

Darkpaw licked himself clean before heading towards the medicine cat den. He had no clue was he was spewing out blood...

Daypaw padded into camp carrying just the mouse she had caught by accident. The rest of her hunting trip hadn't turned out as well. She accidentally scared away a mouse, and nearly fell into the river while chasing a squirrel.
She let out a sigh, then put it into the fresh-kill pile. Daypaw noticed Pebblestar resting, then noticed Darkpaw padding calmly towards the medicine cat den. Curious, she followed after him into the den.
As she came closer she noticed a dark crimson liquid, and noticed that Darkpaw was bleeding.
"Darkpaw," she yowled in terror, "what in StarClan's name happened to you?

Stormflight padded into camp, glancing around. Pebblestar was back. She seemed a little tired.
Stormflight took the mouse that Daypaw had caught earlier and sat next to Pebblestar. "How did Darkpaw's training go?" she asked.

"He's getting good, Stormflight, very good. He will have a bright future as a warrior." Pebblestar meowed distantly. Suddenly she heard a screech, and she scrambled to her paws, and towards the sound. She found Daypaw staring horror stricken at Darkpaw, who was bleeding heavily.
"Darkpaw!" Pebblestar cried rushing over to her apprentice. "Where are you hurt; what's wrong?" She demanded.

Stormflight stared wide-eyed at Darkpaw. She scrambled to her paws and dashed to Darkpaw. "What in StarClan's name happened to you?" she asked.

Darkpaw looked back to see Daypaw, Stormflight and Pebblestar worried about him. "If I had a clue, do you think I'd be going to the medicine cat?" He snapped. Then, seeing the dismayed look on Daypaw's face, his voice softened. He wasn't used to all of the attention. "I'm not sure, I think it must've been from the impact when I crashed into two trees during training. Pebblestar must've known. She saw me spit it out earlier." He mewed.

"I'm so sorry, Darkpaw, I didn't think it was that serious!" Pebblestar wailed. "Uh, lie down." She ordered.
Daypaw looked worriedly between Pebblestar and Darkpaw. Out of both of them, Darkpaw was the calmest. She closed her eyes, willing herself to venture back into the dark forest, but just when she needed it the most, she couldn't reach it.
She opened her eyes again, fear swelling in her heart.
((Should I play medicine cat again?))

Darkpaw looked at Daypaw. "I'll be fine." He growled, nudging her forehead. He twitched his tail impatiently at Pebblestar. "Fine." He laid down.

"If you were fine, you wouldn't be here." Daypaw attempted to tease him as he lie down.
Rosepetal came into her den to see Darkpaw bleeding. Her ears flattened, "What have you been doing? It looks as though you've got internal bleeding!"

Heronkit stared worriedly outside the nursery at Darkpaw. "I wish I could help," she mewed to herself. Heronkit had just woken up from a strangely long sleep. "I'll just have to hope he'll be okay."
