*Simon laughed* i'm not using alice...we had an agreement...i'm actually doing her a world of good...i'm her bodyguard. and there's this one guy chasing her and i'm protecting her from him...but she had no money to pay me for doing so, so i'm letting her off the easy way...i help her, she helps me...agreement see? isn't that right Alice?

Akemi listened to the conversation and then made her way to the library. So Alice and this guy Simon had some sort of agreement. He was protecting her but for what in return? Akemi shrugged. Why did it matter anyway? It wasn't any of her business.

i don't really know...how about you go look around the castle to see if anyone's here and i'll stay here...
but...there could be like other vampire hunters here...and your supposed to be my bodyguard too!

Akemi glanced out at the tall, window and noted the lightning. It was a wicked storm. She sat in a plush arm chair, curled up with a large book that she was reading intently. The room was very large and dated but also quite comfortable if the velvety curtains and plush chairs were any indication.
