"Ivory?" Gabriel repeated, then made a face. "That's gross. No." He shook his head as if to clear it of the thought. "Someone I met while still traveling. Her name's Lacara. You'll meet her when you come home." He leaned back against the railing slightly. "Are you coming home? Or are you just passing by?"

Seth shrugged, then turned to call out an order to one of his crew. Making his way over to Lyra, he spoke quietly to her. "Go below deck until we anchor. Lucid did not ask us back, Lyra, I am sorry. This was pure accident. The storm pushed us close to home and we must dock, but I cannot risk anyone seeing you as get closer to shore." Lifting up, he met her gaze and though he felt a pang at the sorrow there, he knew there was nothing he could do to ease it. Giving her hand a gentle squeeze he turned away, knowing that she would obey him. Making his way back to Gabriel he lifted his face to the wind, letting the cool air wash over him. "In truth I do not know. The storm pushed us this way, and we drifted to wait it out. The ship needs repair though desperately, we will not make it to the next harbor. We must stop here." Sighing once more he dropped his head, staring into the endless depths of the ocean waters. "Lucid did not send for me, so no, we were not supposed to be arriving now. Until I speak with him however I cannot say one way or another." Glancing back to where Lyra had stood he noted that the spot was empty. "She wants to be home. God so do I. We are both more than ready, but she has held together well. I think she will continue to do." Still not sure how he felt about the idea of her and his father he lifted a hand to push his own long, blue/black hair back from his face. "If I doubted that she loved him before we left I don't now. If he asked her to leave with me again...I think she would. I doubt she's aware of her feelings though."

Gabriel sighed softly, turning to face the cliffs and his home. Lucid would be happy to see both of them again, of this he had little doubt. And no one bad had come to the Haven lately. Things were getting back to normal. Perhaps now was as good a time as any for Lyra to return. Turning back to Seth, he shrugged. "It's my opinion that Lucid would have sent for you soon anyway. Things are rather quiet at the Haven right now." he said softly. "I know he misses both of you greatly. I can see it in his eyes sometimes..when he thinks no one is looking."

"Perhaps, as I said, until I can speak with him I have no way of knowing his wishes." Seth answered, then reached out with his mind to touch Talon, he smiled in pleasure when he saw that the falcon was already inside the castle walls and winging his way through the halls of the Haven. Pulling away he left it alone for now as they neared the cove. he knew that Talon would stop for Lucid and no other. "Despite that, congratulations on the daddy thing." he said, his voice soft. "Although...is it a good thing? Are you happy about the baby? And the mother...do you love her or is it..." he broke off, realizing he was crossing over a line into something that wasn't his business but concern fro his friend came first.

Gabriel smiled slightly, not at all surprised at Seth's curiosity. "I do love Lacara. Very much." he said softly, reaching up to touch the collar she'd given him. He'd barely taken it off since she'd given it to him. "I'm glad she's with me now." A small smile touched his lips. "Thanks for the congrats. I don't think I've ever been this happy about something."

Pleased with the expression on his friends face, Seth smiled , reaching out to wrap an arm around Gabriel's shoulders. "Good. So...gonna marry her?" he asked teasingly, surprised slightly by his friends attitude. It was unlike him to be so sure of things....and a change as huge as a baby...he was taking it all rather well.

Gabriel shrugged slightly, lifting his face to the breeze in thought. "If I can convince her, then yes. If she says no, then I'll keep trying to convince her." he said after a moment, grinning. "You'll help me, right?"

Laughter rose and Seth fought it for but a moment before just letting it out. his shoulders shaking with it, he turned his grin to his friend. "But of course. You have to convince her huh? Wow that will be different...seeing you aggressive." he clarified.

Keir ignored the glances to her horns, but shook her head when mention of her being a demon was made. She listened to the conversation, hesitant to interrupt since they were hopefully going to discuss her goal. Trying to hide her interest in the conversation she hovered near, her attention turning now and then to her intended direction.
Soon she looked from one to the other, keeping an eye on the male, "Hrm, a shape-shifter... And no, ma'am, I am not a demon merely a priestess."

Seth moved away from Gabriel and went to work of the rigging, pulling his eight with his crew had always been important to him. he asked nothing of any of his crew that he was not willing to do himself. Tucking the larger ship into the tiny cove without wrecking ti was going to be tricky business. Moving effortlessly over the swaying vessel he called orders in quick rapid succession. Things moved quickly and though they scraped the starboard side a bit he grinned, pleased to find the The Sea Dragon had held up. They were not hidden from view as they would have been in The Golden Dragon, but...it worked. Shaking his head, he absently reached up and tied his long hair back with a strip of leather, then leaped gracefully from the deck to the rocks below, still calling out orders. Glancing back up at his friend his grin widened. "Come on Gabriel, I'm too happy to see you to let work take me away so you will just have to keep me company." he called, gesturing. He thought briefly about reaching out and checking on Talon once more, but refrained. The falcon would send word to him when he had found what he needed.

Gabriel smiled, jumping from the deck to the rocks. He watched as the men moved about, hurrying to follow the orders barked at them. He decided he would never be fit for sailing with a crew..unless his master was with him. He followed Seth around, listening to everything that went on. The ship looked way too big for the small cove from his perspective. Hopefully though, the crew could fix her up and get her sea worthy again. Hopefully.

Seth frowned and mentally cursed as a crew member told him that there was heavy damage to the hull. Damn, that meant they would need supplies. Wood, tools to make the planks and other materials. Light weight, cloth for the sails but he had some of that tucked away in his room. They had taken some heavy damage. it was amazing that they had stayed afloat. The mast was tore almost to pieces and would need to be rebuilt from the ground up. Rubbing his eyes he dismissed the hand for the moment and sighed. "Damn storm, poor timing." he muttered then turned and ran a hand over his face. Reaching out he tugged gently on Gabriel's hair then smiled. "I wonder if Talon got lost or is just absorbed in Lucid." Shaking his head he reached for his bond pet only to find him...sleeping. With a rueful smile, Seth pulled away and glanced around. Knowing that Talon must have already found and spoken with th ancient. He did not see his father anywhere, but that did not mean much.

Lucid made his way out to the small cove, surprised to find the huge ship already anchored there. As he strode toward the ship, he picked up several scents, all unfamiliar. He figured this to be the crew. Steering clear of the men, he moved soundlessly over to where Seth stood. "Hello, Son." he said softly. "Good to see you back home."

Turning, Seth smiled, his eyes lighting with pleasure. "Lucid." Wrapping his arms around him, he drew in a breath and simply stood there for a moment, letting the comfort of the familiar arms around him wash over him. God he had missed this...all of it. Pushing those thought aside he focused on the here and now.

Lucid smiled slightly, wrapping his own arms around his adopted son. He then noted the damage on the ship. "Was anyone hurt during the hell that caused that?" he asked, pointing to the torn up vessel.
