The druid knocked on the open door to the room where the lord seemed to be holding his councile. He waited a moment before speaking.
"The Groove thought you'd like to know that someone is plotting against Vasendor." He twirled something around in his finger very rapidly, it was black and well balanced.
"We are pretty certian the community will burn, and none will survive."

"Vensandar is not my concern at present. unless you know something that would make it my concern, druid."
before the human and Broog were in front of him.
"Piper. I want to know if she asked either of you for anything, or received any kind of training from you for anything."
lightly mussing his son's hair.
Because a goodbye to an elf is like saying they might not see you again. and mom didn't want you to think she might not come back.
Both looked at eachother, and Broog shook his head.
"Da mistrez didn't ask broog fer noffin."
the other shrugged lightly.
"She took some training in chain weapons. she knows how to use one, but I wouldn't say she's overly skilled."
"both of you are dimissed. get your work done."
damn that girl. heaven help her if something went wrong with that thing.

The druid shrugged, "I figgered you might have had some acquaintances there, but I guess not. Its better for me too if they go away. Too many Drow Hunters come b--" No one was really listening, so he just let it drop.
"I find your lack of Faith in your Wife Disturbing." Not entirely sure he was being herd again, he just continued talking, like to a mirror. "It would be terrible if the world around you fell apart because you were too concerned over someone who is capable of taking care of herself." Some assumptions in that phrase, but hey, he really hated it when people fussed over these things. It made them look weak and feeble. Malik looking weak and feeble would only cause trouble, its not like every major player this side of the Haven didn't know about the rumoured stores of treasure he had locked away beneath his keep. "That, and its very disrespectful."

Sevilin plopped himself down again, crossing his arms over his chest and he looked to Zahara. "So, what did you do to get yourself hurt this early in the bubbling chaos?" The way he asked the question wasn't clear with intention. Whether he was working an repremanding angle, or a concerned one was anybody's guess. A look at the druid in a moment of distraction...he never liked that one...was too odd and random for his tastes...and thus turned his attention back to Zahara, waiting for the most likely amusing answer.
He found it interesting that it was said in his head, though his ears still twitched as if the voice was heard out loud and was unexpected. But somethings daddy didn't say out loud. He didn't know what things, but figured there was a reason that they weren't. Okay then that made sense...at least he got a kiss and a hug. Thus leaning back against his father, shifting in armor some.

"Piper and Zahara have aquaintances there. and what are you talking about Drow hunters?"
before a rather cold look.
"I have complete faith in my wife. my concern is her reason for taking something from my vault that caused her a near nervous breakdown and a great deal of pain last time it was near her, due to a certain surface bred lunatic using it on her."
though 'drow hunter' got some attention. if Nelphean was this 'drow hunter' or one of them...then it wasn't Nightblade. That nelphean didn't involve himself with that sort of thing. the other one, brightsaber..that might be more the type to try it. and brightsaber was a lot more dangerous than his 'twin'.
"Take a seat, druid...tell me what you've heard about this impending disaster on the drow city. like perhaps, methods or names."

She glanced up from her list at Sevilin and then glared at the bandage irritatedly. "Some idiot decided I would make a lovely target while I was out getting things for the stores. He attacked me with darts and swords. I couldn't see him at first and I took the sword straight to the shoulder. Then Malik popped up like an idiot and I ended up falling through a crack in the ground onto some ship in the middle of nowhere. My attacker tried to kill me then all of a sudden exploded a barrell, jumped off a ship and left me to drown in the middle of the Underdark water. I found a shard of ship, swam to shore, called Faete and got back home. Why?"

He blinked at her a moment. "Just wondered." Hey, he knew how to chastise her and yelling at her was not the method. He had his own method that said 'that was a stupid decision on your part, I'm upset with your choice to follow it'. Worked very nicely on her...and it wasn't how loud you could yell at her, but now quiet you were to her...at least that's what worked for them. Thus commence the punishing. She shouldn't of gone anywhere by herself right now...it was just stupid and dangerous. Reaching out a hand though he smoothed Zykariel's hair some...quiet honestly yes he would feel better if the boy at least had chainmail on.
And there was business again. Time to be quiet once more and merely take up space. At least sitting on daddy meant he wasn't going to be going anywhere now was he.

The druid could feel Sevilin's dissapproving stare. Aschellaeon did not recall ever seeing this drow before, not once. Odd, how he got the impression that the drow knew him. Maybe he was one of the Reincarnates Aschellaeon made in the war. That would be wierd.
"Names, methods." The druid placed the metal object he held on the table. It was a black kunai. "Vengeful little Nel. His wife was killed by Drow when they came to collect one of their own. That was not very long ago..."
"Methods, not something either of us are prepaired for. When magic was at its fullest, the best of Roarke's, the Wizen Watch, and the Grove could barely contain it in a prison beneath the Southern Wall." The Wall was refering to the edge of the cavern that Deep Water was in.
"Let me remind you of the fireworks that scarred the southlands below your keep. It was green as the valley to the East until that one came. Stopping him took quite a bit of determination, and quite a few lives."
"But enought beating around the bush. He is the result of a demon's hatred of this planet, and the mixed breeding of ancient reptiles and himself. It stands as tall as your Keep, has wings just as wide, teeth as tall as you are, and claws twice that length. His skin is as thick as you in your armour, and probably just as hard if that is Mythril you are wearing."
He took off a necklace and held it up. It was a mythril arrowhead that was twisted out of shape from an impact. "Lets just say natural metals are not as tough as his unnatural flesh."
"I imagine, the Drow will find him much weaker than we did. He probably cant use his breath weapon, or any of the other magics he employed. We simply call him 'Blood Bath', as that is what he brings to the table."
"Nel fought against him with us, but now that we have betrayed him by not agreeing with his genocide, he has released the creature from its prison."

"great. another playtoy from that woman."
Malik drummed his fingers some.
"Dragonic kin are weak when thier magic is gone. they become lethargic, much more reptile like. but that doesn't mean sheer physical force won't be something worth taking seriously. but let me guess. your little Nel, is short for Nelphean. his a surface breed, high elf type. highly skilled in many manner of sword and sorcery, ingeniously malicious when it comes to taking care of enemies, and sometimes rather...unhinged. any of this strikingly spot on or similar?"
after all, his short term alliance with Fenix had disclosed the origins of Brightsaber.
"So your little friend let this thing, bloodbath, out of his prison. how then, is our little friend controling it enough to avoid being on the menu?"

"Yup." She saw that look in his eyes and knew immediately what he'd honed in on. She had been alone in the Underdark and that truly wasn't even the worst of it. She'd left herself vulnerable to attack by not wearing any armor but gauntlets and hadn't taken any precautions against running into something unfortunate. And now he was angry with her so he was more or less going to ignore her. She glared at him for a momen and then shook her head. "Zykariel? Do you want to be Mommy's helper?"
He glanced between his parents and instantly caught the tension that had flared up. Daddy was being quiet which wasn't a good thing and Mommy was upset which wasn't good either. Nope, things weren't too good right now. He glanced down at his hands. "Yes but not if Daddy will be mad..."

How did Sevilin know him? Runes of course...that was before they went bye bye on him and took all his information gathering means away. Which still pissed him to high hell but he'd just have to revert to other styles of such to get what he wanted and to keep himself informed of things. Then again, it wasn't like he was going to be leaving so he'd be in the loop now. The talk of the two beside him was half listened to...yeah that's just what they needed....when this particular piece of underdark went to pieces it really went to pieces and this place always seemed like the epicenter...but his attention faded mostly back to his son and the mother of said child. "Go with her if you want, but remember, you don't leave this house, understand?" So if Zahara was planning to stupidly go out again, well she wouldn't be taking the child out there.

EDIT ((do not remain in the prison))
"What woman?" The druid replied without hesitating to the accusation.
"I do not know anything dragonic kin. I nor would I describe this creature as a dragon. Dragons are naturally occuring animals, like birds or humans. This creatures is purely a manifestation of maliciousness."
"I do not know Nel beyond his name and affiliation. He is a member of the Shadowblades. They practice stealth, martial arts and some wizardry."
"I would imagine that Nel is negotiating with Blood Bath. He is sentient, and probably easily manipulated. His father literally rode him into battle, and told him what to do. But, unlike the son, the father was quite vulnerable to our magics and quckly imprissoned, and sent back to the Abyss. As easy as Blood Bath may be to influence, he is not very ready to trust anyone. Nel probably earned his trust by freeing him, then asking for the request. Serenity assumes Blood Bath had nothing better to do than agree to follow Nel. Apparently, Nel is quite good with creatures most would consider monsters. He apparently has a following of them, including the rather cunning Shadow Cats."
"Then again, all I know that is Nel is not dead, and that he and Blood Bath do not remain in the Prison. We are most certain he did this to attack Vasendor because he approached the Grove with similar ideas."
"Unfortunately, this Keep is between those two points. It would have been very inconsiderate to keep this from you, when the giant marched across view." Marched, probably not fly. The wind was not strong enough for that beast.

"So it's a child, basically. mentally needing someone to play 'daddy'. and by coming to his rescue, this Nel puts himself in that position. But lets say that this thing does just walk on by us, heading for the drow...and I choose to involve myself. is there anyplace on this thing that is vulnerable to assault?"
Leaning back.
"As to what woman. there was a demoness that had a particular dislike for an elf named Nelphean Nightblade. went out of her way to try and mentally, and physically, destroy him. part of these schemes involved cloning him and others. his clone, that called itself Nelphean Brightsaber, is known to me. and I beleive I've met you're Nel earlier today. his voice, and his actions, are very similar if not identical to the previous Nelpheans. which original leads me to beleive this is another experiment gotten away or gone awry."
Then another thought.
"Or lets say I turn a blind eye, and let him destroy that place. odds of it coming here next?"

Aschellaeon noded to the assessment. Malik was not as dumb as Kimmuriel kept on saying both times the drow approached the Grove. "Well, if you know the necessary spells, he's not that hard to put down." Unlimted Wish and Mericle were not common spells available to most mages, clerics or druids. "But, you might have a problem getting that much magical power right now."
"We think his underbelly is softer than the rest of his flesh, but..." He held up the arrow again, "The difference between adamantium and myrthril is rather vauge under most circumstances."
"Nel was from Salmander's Watch. Wouldn't surprise me if he was the basterd experiement of some demon. Most from there are."
"Well... As long as Nel doesn't think any drow are here, we're porbably safe. Most people who see you do not think of you as one... Blue skin and all."
"If he saw one of those," he pointed at the black skin drow family, " You can probably guess that he'll come here next. Unless, he doesn't care for small fries. Depends. I know wrath, but him I do not. Some seeking revenge go to far ends to get it, others not so much. Maybe just the drow who's persuiers killed his wife will be enough; maybe not. Maybe he'll have to kill them all."
"From his record, Serentity would guess its not likely. He's more of an assasin than a brute when he can be. Apparently, its more likely that he'd break in and kill them one at a time than use the Blood Bath to storm the place. Vasendor would be impossible to stalk clean alone, or with a small army of beasts. Blood Bath would end it quite quickly and decisively. He could hunt down survivors on his own."
"It all comes down to what you think his agenda is. The evidence that Serenity gathered suggests he does not intend to kill everything in his path."

Keely watched the talk of everything and got herself up, holding our her arms to the child that was leaning against his father, looking none too happy. It was often told of her to just remove the child from Malik when he was conducting business, there were better things that he just didn't need to hear. She made quite a good replacement Piper in some aspects. A little encourgaing look to him, she wouldn't take him unless he gave her a sign that it was okay.
He had to make a descision here didn't he? Well, he didn't want daddy to go anywhere, but daddy had promised that if he had to go anywhere, that he would take Malikhai with him, and if he didn't that would be breaking his promise Daddy didn't break promises. Thus he gave his attention to Keely and let her take hold of him. Daddy was dealing with something more important right now.
"Come on, you didn't finish your food."
Sevilin's attention turned slightly to what was being said. He rolled his eyes. Yes that's just what this plane needed. Someone who would kill off all the evil drow in sight...well then they wouldn't need a surface now would they? All the underdark intelligent threats would be gone now wouldn't it? "Just go ahead and nix the entirety of Labyrinth then..." Yeah he knew he hated his place for a reason...that was okay he'd just keep a vial of highly concentrated magic on him....all he needed was one to desintigrate anything he wanted to. At least there was no magic without adequate means to be used against them.
