MISSION- Shadow of the Desert
We’re getting word that the supposedly abandoned Shadow Pokémon Lab in central Orre is active again. I need you to go there and find out what’s going on.
Take this Disk. It’s got a Data Retrieval Program to copy the files we need. Just get to the Lab’s mainframe and plug it in.
Stealth is critical and I don’t know what their security setup is like. But if you set off the alarm, you’ll have to fight your way out. (If you’re discovered, fight 2 guards with 2-3 pokemon each)
Pokemon: Sandshrew Phanpy Gligar
Rewards: 1200-1500 --------------------------------------------------------- I took the disk and slipped it in my pocket, already knowing what it was for. My mission was to head to central Orre and an abandoned Shadow Pokémon Lab to stop the activity there. I walked outside and sent out Flygon, and we were on our way.
I got there a few hours later and returned Flygon, then started towards the lab. I could see it in the distance, so I pulled out my binoculars and looked at the building. I knew that the files would be in the middle, well away from prying eyes. I also saw a few guards here and there and estimated how much time I would have to get through.
I got up from my hiding spot and again started towards the main lab, trying to picture the layout. As I got near to the lab, a few large rocks jutted up here and there. I darted from rock to rock, hiding the whole time, waiting for my chance. Finally, it came.
I darted through the guards as they passed each other, then leaped over the tripwire I knew was installed. I was in the target, and making my way through the halls. I continued down the passage, wary of any opponents that might pop up.
A worker turned the corner; I dove into a closet, and he didn’t see me. I peered out, and the corridor was empty. I quickly left the closet, dusting myself off. I continued to head towards the center of the building, along the way darting and dodging narrow escapes.
I finally saw a door that was locked, unlike many of the others. I could see nobody inside, so I pulled out my lockpick and opened the door. I darted in, softly closed it, and relocked it. Heading towards a big computer, I pulled out the disk.
I slipped it into a drive and opened the files I needed. The names gave them away. I downloaded them to the disk and deleted them from the mainframe, then took the disk. Immediately, an alarm went off. I could hear shouting, though I couldn’t make out the words. I opened the door and ran through the halls, trying to avoid any battles.
I turned a few corners, making sure nobody was around them before I went on. I knew nobody could beat me, but the sooner I got out, the better. I didn’t want to run into any guards, because I knew they represented a problem. They couldn’t really do much damage, but I still preferred to get in and out stealthily.
Suddenly, a guard finally stepped in front of me. “Intruder!” he yelled, sending out a Noctowl. I sent out Grovyle. “Noctowl, use Confusion!” he said. Noctowl picked Grovyle up with a magical force and slammed him into the wall.
“Grovyle, use Leaf Blade!” I said. Grovyle’s arm glowed green, and he whacked Noctowl with it. “Noctowl, use Steel Wing!” the guard said. Noctowl’s wings grew bright and he flew into Grovyle. “Grovyle, use Quick Attack!” I said. Grovyle darted towards Noctowl and rammed him.
“Noctowl, use Peck!” the guard said. Noctowl flew forward and started pecking Grovyle with its beak. “Grovyle, use Return!” I said. Grovyle did a ton of damage with the attack due to our strong friendship. “Noctowl, use Shadow Ball!” the guard said. A ball of dark energy formed, and Noctowl pushed it at Grovyle, KOing it.
“Grovyle, return. Bagon, its your turn!” I said. Grovyle disappeared, and Bagon appeared. “Double-Edge!” Bagon rammed Noctowl, but took no recoil because of Rock Head. Noctowl was KOed, and the guard returned it and sent out a Scyther. “Slash!” he said. Scyther cut Bagon with its arms, not doing a lot of damage.
“Bagon, use Dragonbreath!” I said. Bagon breathed on Scyther and did some of damage. “Scyther, use Wing Attack!” the guard said. Scyther flew in the air and then down on Bagon, almost KOing the weaker Pokémon. “Bagon, use Headbutt!” I said. Bagon jumped forward and hit Scyther with his head.
“Scyther, use Aerial Ace!” the guard said. Scyther flew in the air and zoomed down on Bagon, KOing it. “Bagon, return.” I said. “Larvitar, its your turn!” “Crunch!” Larvitar jumped forward and bit Scyther. “Scyther, use Secret Power!” the guard said. Scyther trapped Larvitar in an invisible force field but did little damage. “Larvitar, use Dig!” I said. Larvitar dug a hole in the ground and Scyther scanned the ground for him.
“Scyther, use Double Team!” the guard said. Scyther suddenly became multiple Scythers, surrounding the hole where Larvitar was. Larvitar popped up under the real Scyther and hit it, forcing all the others to disappear. “Scyther, use Rock Smash!” the guard said. Rocks poured down from nowhere and covered Larvitar, who pushed the ones covering him aside.
“Larvitar, finish him with Rock Slide!” I said. Rocks poured down onto Scyther and KOed it. “Scyther, return.” the guard said. “You fought well.” Scyther disappeared, and the guard ran off to heal his Pokémon. I gave Larvitar a Max Potion.
I continued on the way to the exit, and another guard crossed my path. He sent out a Kirlia and told it to use Psychic. Kirlia lifted Larvitar with its mind and slammed it into the wall. “Larvitar, use Hyper Beam!” I said. Larvitar emitted a very powerful beam that hit Kirlia and did a decent amount of damage.
“Kirlia, use Future Sight!” the guard said. Kirlia began to focus its power. Larvitar needed to recharge, so it was pointless trying to do anything. “Kirlia, use Magical Leaf!” the guard said. Leaves shot from Kirlia’s arms and hit Larvitar, KOing it. “Larvitar, return.” I said. “Ivysaur, its your turn!” Ivysaur appeared and took Larvitar’s place.
“Razor Leaf!” I said, Leaves shot from Ivysaur’s back and hit Kirlia for a critical hit. “Kirlia, attack!” the guard said. Kirlia released the power it had stored and did a lot of damage to Ivysaur. “Ivysaur, finish it with Vine Whip!” I said. Vines shot from Ivysaur’s back and began to hit Kirlia, KOing it.
“Kirlia, return. Bellossom, its your turn!” the guard said. Kirlia disappeared and Bellossom took its place. “Sludge Bomb!” Bellossom tossed sludge at Ivysaur, but did not poison it. “Ivysaur, use Sleep Powder!” I said. A silvery powder puffed from Ivysaur’s back and landed on Bellossom, putting it to sleep.
“Bellossom, wake up!” the guard yelled. Bellossom, however, could not respond. “Ivysaur, use Strength!” I said. Ivysaur stored its energy for a few seconds and then rammed Bellossom. The man continued to yell at Bellossom. I told Ivysaur to use Double-Edge and it did, crashing into Bellossom but taking recoil. Bellossom was KOed.
“Bellossom, return.” the man said. Bellossom disappeared, and he pulled another Pokéball from inside his jacket. “Breloom, come on out!” Breloom appeared in Bellossom’s place. “Mach Punch!” Breloom struck with great speed and hit Ivysaur. “Ivysaur, use Giga Drain!” I said. Ivysaur did some damage to Breloom and stole half of it.
“Breloom, use Dynamicpunch!” the man said. Breloom prepared for a blow that would KO Ivysaur, but when it went to attack, it missed. “Ivysaur, use Swagger!” I said. Ivysaur confused Breloom. “Breloom, use Headbutt!” the man said. Breloom tried to headbutt Ivysaur, but its confusion made it headbutt the wall.
“Ivysaur, use Double-Edge!” I said. Ivysaur hit Breloom with the attack, KOing Breloom and itself. We both returned our Pokémon, and he ran off to heal his Pokémon while I headed towards the exit. I again raced towards the exit, trying to get there before the guards did.
I turned a few more corners, and the exit was in sight. I leaped the tripwire again, and I was out. I left the building behind, knowing I would most likely never see it again.
As I headed towards the rocks again, a Phanpy got in my way. I sent out Scyther to deal with it, telling it to use Aerial Ace. Scyther flew up high in the air and swooped down on Phanpy. “Phanpy!” Phanpy snorted. It curled into a ball and started rolling towards Scyther. It missed.
“Scyther, use Steel Wing!” I said. Scyther’s wings grew silver and he flew down upon Phanpy with his wings spread wide. I threw a Pokéball. Shake, shake, shake, ding! I picked up the Pokéball and stuck it in my pocket, sending out Flygon again. I hopped on, and we were heading back to HQ.

There's no way a Dig attack can hit Scyther - a Flying type. Also (not to nit-pick or anything), is there something Psychic can do to an opponent besides smashing them into the nearest wall? Perhaps the ceiling, or crushing them into the floor? *In different handwriting* What's wrong with Psychic making things hit the wall? I rather enjoy it! People are terrified when things fly around hitting walls with no one in sight. ninja *In the original handwriting* My appologies. Shuppet tossed me aside and decided to add his own commentary. He shouldn't cause further interruptions. I think with one last edit you'll pass this mission. It's good to see someone trying this series. Remember: There's always room for improvement wink

It was my first day at Team Aqua and I am just sitting there in my room thinking of something to do when I realize there is some missions I could do. I run down to the message board and fin this one: MISSION- Birch's First Break-in Any Team Aqua member is asked to go to Prof. Birch's lab in Littleroot and steal one of his three pokemon (Treeko, Torchic, Mudkip). You must sneak in at night. But don't get caught by Prof. Birch or his assistant. At some point you must battle the pokemon you stole/are stealing, if you want to catch it.
Pokemon: Treecko Torchic Mudkip
Funds upon completion: 300.
I was pretty sure I could do this. I have been doing this stuff for years.
The next night I get my supplies and go to Littleroot. I easily sneak into a bush in the town of Litlleroot. I take out my binoculars and wait for about an hour before I finally see Prof. Birch leave his lab. I sneak behind a conveniently placed house and quickly run into his lab. I have always been fascinated by water pokemon so I ran towards Mudkip but heard a door. I ran to the closet and hid myself. I heard him pick up a pokemon but did not know which one. When he left I went back to the pokemon to discover that Mudkip was gone so I took Treeko. I walked out of the door and safely made it out of Little root. Half way to HQ Treeko popped out and I quickly got my corphish out and started to fight.
Me: Go corphish.
T: tackle C: water gun
T: tackle C: dodge
Me: Great corphish
T: tackle C: bite
Me: your getting weak corphish. Me: come on back corhpish. Go Machop
T: leaf cut M: karate chop
Me: yes Treeko is weak. * throw pokeball*
* Treeko dodges*
Me: darn
T: tackle M: dodge
*throw pokeball*
*you caught Treeko*
Me: YES!!!!!!
Me: come on back Machop.
So I caught Treeko and was on my way. On the way to HQ I saw many appealing pokemon but went on because I knew that I needed to hurry. When I got back to HQ I showed Treeko to Archie and he told me I could keep it because it was my first catch for Team Aqua and that I could use another pokemon. Then he gave me the 300 PD.
