"No. but I got a reptilian creation of Malik's that is in one of your rooms. the crevice opened right under her feet in the middle of our fight."
a slight smirk.
"couldn't leave her down there, and it didn't feel sporting to kill her when she was obviously badly injured. so you fix her up, and then I'll kill her."
Malik's arms crossed.
"Oh, and who is she going to send with you? lets see. Cedric maybe? nope, too much of his skill is based on his magic. no Orko, no Celeste or Elric...Celeste is a caster, and I seriously doubt Elric will leave her so vulnerable. which goes for Cedric too. even if he was good to send, he's not going to leave other's helpless. Sstrl? I don't trust that lizard any farther than I can throw him. Warhammer from my understanding has been depressed and lethargic since the Earth Mother's disappearance. So who is going to go with you?"
Hey he didn't care for this at all and the state of things made her odds of injury or worse skyrocket.
"Serino is a fine companion for you, but he can't protect you from arrows and armored orcs since they move in legions. he can't protect you from the kinds of things that lurk in underdark waters either. and they all should have left the surface a memory. they destroyed it, and now this is threatening to destroy us just so those damned fools cna go up there and ruin thier world again and have to come back here yet again."
yeah, malik's faith in humanity was about as low as you could get.

A look over to Zahara...well well she could take reigns indeed now couldn't she? But he kicked out a chair with his foot and plopped in it, pausing for a moment in his motions. This was not a fast way to do this but they needed to do it. Turned out he wasn't getting too much, or rather as much as he was preferring. One thing was right that there wasn't even enough vials to split between him and Malik, let alone anyone who needed for it also. Definately needed to figure what recharged and what didn't. A look over to Zahara. "I'll watch them if you want to go look for something..."
He was affording her nothing was he? No, he was being business again. "Fine than Malik, I'll go by myself...I took care of myself before when it was just me and Serino and we can do it again. Besides...I'm not allowed to die remember?" But his business like attitude was irritating her a bit. "I'll do what I do best, I'll run. And you should be glad this is happening...since we got here you've wanted this stretch of underdark to yourself practically. If they have a surface then they'll go there and here can practically be all yours. No more humans in Deepwater, or Honorsfield, no more surface elves. It'll be you and the disbanded drow." Quiet a moment as she packed a bit more before giving a sigh. "Do you think I'm looking forward to this? That I don't know all the reprcussions of leaving?"

She nodded, "Alright. Malikhai, you stay here with Sevilin and Zykariel and I'll be right back." Thus standing, she set him right back down in the chair and ruffled both boys' hair. "I'll take that bag too and get us a room while I'm at it." Snatching the deceptively small bag she lugged it with her upstairs among the chaos. It wasn't hard to find a room with a big enough bed for the three of them since it was understood that rooms like those weren't to be touched except by important people. Intharas counted as important people. She dropped the bag in the room and then rooted through it finding the block of salt she was looking for and headed back downstairs. Waylaid a few times by questioning serfs, she snapped out instructions and made sure all that she'd requested was being done correctly. A fight broke out over bunk position but the sight of the irritated female drow and her fist in one face and stealing his cot solved that pretty quickly. Not to mention name dropping. Say Lord D'vinn and they all practically snapped to attention. Once everything was set back to rights she rejoined the boys and then set the block on the table before taking the ferret from her son. "Here Nym, lick this for me. It'll give you some more energy and make you feel better." Petting between his ears lightly as she fingered the useless rune. Settling back into her chair, she once again plopped Malikhai on her lap and shook her head. "It's a madhouse up there. I can't believe we're forced to live with them for who knows how long...Thankfully our room is down by Piper and Malik's so it shouldn't be too bad."
Zykariel leaned his forearms on the table and rested his chin on that watching the ferret closely for signs of anything that would make him celebrate or cry.

"It's going to be hectic for a few days...and I have no problem living in just a room." After all, back in Vrist he shared a far more tinier room with both his brothers...they practically had to sit on each other for any room. Even when it was just him the room was tiny...which explained his hate for small spaces but he easily adapted to living in one room...and this one he knew had actual space to breath and such in it. No doubt his sense of organization would get all their clothes and such settled nicely.
He lazily turned his head as he was transfered from person to person again, giving an off little noise. Oohh look at that, salt lick. Those were always good. Sevilin must have grabbed that for him when he had fished him out of his hidey hole as well. Needless to say the ferret hadn't left the space after the earthquake and magic outage. But her lifted his head, little pink tongue indeed licking the block. Yummy. He gave a happy chitter.
Malikhai still sat there in Zahara's lap, quite thankful for the attention...after all some funny things were going on in his head. Well not in his head, more kinda like in the back of it. Giving a sniff, he set Rawr on the table with a pet of apology for squishing him and turned his eyes to Nym. He had to smile as the little creature gave a good noise. "That's a happy noise."

"that's not what I want. what I want is to build my own empire, and to have my family with me. the humans and the surface breed elves don't bother me unless they are doing things to disrupt my life or the lives of my family. and putting you in harms way to restore a surface they destroyed becuase of thier own ignorance disrupts my life. stripping the world of magic to do it disrupts my life, and the lives of my House. It puts us in mortal danger. Thank Innoruuk the breakers and the gladiators are not aware that thier collars may not work effectively enough to stop them if they wanted to turn on me."
Running his hand down his face.
"You're going somewhere unknown, and I can't follow. I promised our son I'd stay with him. and your damned oracle obviously has no intention of letting me come along or even offering the invitation, or her pet would have come to me first or at least showed itself to me before scampering off after you."
He leaned on the doorframe.
"you're the first elf to look at me with something besides contempt, indifference, or fear. the first to come to my bed willingly, the only woman I love. And it scares me to death that I'm basically forced to just wave as you go off and stay here and worry while you might be walking directly into your own death. That woman lost her power of Sight a long time ago, and as such she can't promise anything. Hell she won't even know who are the best ones to send with you if she even allows it. I don't want to be forced to leave this plane, and then tell Malikhai that not only can we not go back home ever, but mom isn't going to be with us anymore either. I'm worry and I'm scared for you."
And a glance at the dog.
"and you so much as think this conversation beyond this door I will personally have you stuffed and mounted in my study."

"Problem is Malik, I don't think anything it going to go back to any semblence of normal until this is over. No magic perhaps plane wide means everything is up in the air, everyone is going to do stupid thing as survival modes co haywire. Is that a safe place to be then? No it's not and I promised you that we weren't going to leave here, that this ws home. I don't intend to make us leave another place again because of me." Shaking her head lightly. "I'll make sure you can follow. If I have to draw maps everyday and send them too you so you can track then that's what I'll do. I don't want to be untrackable anymore than you want me to not be." And then he had to go do that proclimation speech where he didn't care who perhaps was in hearing distance too much and admitted that even he could be scared and such. Okay then he pushed her over that little emotional line. Piper stopped what she was doing and punched the bed post as seh turned to him, tears in her eyes that rather quietly fell down her face...she'd been with him twenty five years now, it was okay to do in front of him.
"I'm scared too Malik, I've never been without you in the underdark and the last times that I were resulted in cases of extreme bodily harm. I fully recognize that I can't survive too well without you there, but I can't help that, I have to learn how to now. Remember back in Neriak when you would leave to do whatever it was you did and you left me alone at the house because it was better than way? That's how I felt, scared that I just had to stand there and watch you go off and thinking I may never see you again because someone may stab you in the back before you came back home. And Malikhai..." her voice dropping some in volume and shaking her head lightly, "...you can feel it too from him. He's scared to death, it's a sense of abandonment of some part...and I'm making him feel that. And I can feel it from you too...you think I don't hate this right now? That I don't want to go?"
Giving a sigh and swiping the back of a gloved hand under her eyes as she leaned against the bedpost to keep herself up. This was by no means easy for her and she had thousands of things running through her head. "Hate it I may, it has to be done..." Things were so different when she first agreed...and she would not be hiding her displeasure from anyone. Another look to him with glassy eyes. "Please...I don't want to fight with you before I have to leave...I need you right now. I need you to believe that I can do this and that I am going to come back to you and Malikhai both....because for only the second time in my life I don't think I can handle something, and I can't run away this time."

Kon was pretty close now. Most did not see her as a threat, and so she padded right up to Aella. She smiled up at her with her fangs, let her tongue lol out of her mouth for a moment.
And then she struck. Kon's eyes changed from innocent to wild as her entire demenour changed. Her jaws clamped down tight on the hand that had reached for her. She tasted blood and her head began whipping from side to saide, trying to tear Aella's arm from its socket. One that was completed. Kon would could for her throat.

"Bedlam is more like it," she muttered under her breath. If what she saw upstairs was any indication, Malik was going to have his hands full with feeding and maintaining this bunch. And she could only be thankful that things had been resolved between her and Sevilin because awkwardness would only make things more difficult. Watching over Nym to make sure he was licking the block and not experiencing any adverse reactions to it. The soft sniffle from her lap caught her attention and she pressed a kiss to the top of Malikhai's head. "Yes it is. And that's a smile. Rawr is a very happy dragon now."
Zykariel was still watching the ferret, every once in a while reaching out and petting him lightly. He'd give Nym an extra pair of socks, that would perk the little ferret up. He was sure of it.

Aella saw the wolf-creature at her feet, thought that she recognized those happy eyes if not the coat. She reache down to pat her on the head...
And gain her amr was in pain, the same arm that Laudi had taken a hunck out of, whihc had only stopped bleeding on her way to the maner earlier. One hand gripped at her shoulder to keep it from tearing out of the soket, a leg kicked at the wolf's muzzle. A crowd was gathering.
Moonstone laughed. "A little honour has rubbed off on you. It suits you." He smiled and followed Onyx to the reptiles room. He could see the extent of the damage to her lower torso.
"I sohuld be able to fix it in time, provided the spine wasn't severed all the way." He bent over the hissing lizard-lady and pressed his hands to her stomahc. A small proceedure he could do with his spiritual magics that gave him a diagnostic of the body....
But nothing happened. "That's strange..."
Deidrick rolled his eyes. Oh yeah, that was a juicey bit of gossip that he just couldn't wait to blurt out. If he could freakin' talk!
He harrumphed and trotted out the door. It was time to go.

Kon her a sikening pop, Aelle's shuolder had disconected. With a grwol of triumph she tossed her head, causing Aella to stagger towards her and fall to the ground. Kon gripped a mouthful of hair and tugged, dragging her across the ground for a moent. Then placing a paw on her had so that she couldn't move it, Kon growled in her face, seliva dripping.

"Well then, I'll fit in just perfect won't I?" After all, clincially insane. But he merely leaned back in his chair, idly playing with a drained object or two for the moment, watching the others at the table with him, moreso Nym. Then back to siphoning for him...after all if Malik was angry, who wanted to make him more so?
He gave a nod. "Rawr does a good job..." Even if Rawr didn't talk to him sometimes. It was nice to have something to hug on, no wonder Zykariel was so attached to the thing. A look to Zykariel. "Nym'll be fine...remember when Ashlyn stepped on him, and he was okay?" Nym was indestructable in thier opinion. But he personally was still feeling upset.
Nym gave another chitter, still licking at that little block of salt. He loved the thing...loved to roll it around the table mostly and that's what he took to trying to do, propping it up with his nose and giving it a shove then slowly going to chase after it.

"What's strange?"
Onyx looked at his twin...before he got an uneasy feeling in the back of his head. no word from Aella or Tarathiel. Surely they'd have found each other and been going to get him. So what did onyx try? to summon a wisp to find them. and he stared at his hand a moment, and then tried again. nothing.
"what the hell?"
Malik walked over and gave her a warm hug, and ran his hand through her hair and held her for a moment.
"you're coming back home. I'll tear this plane down myself if I have to, but your coming home to me."
he moved to his personal little closet, and opened it up, digging past swords and such to pull out a cloak.
"This is a cloak of shadows. elvish make, and should blend into the underdark terrain easily, and stonework. I want you to keep this with you. if you ever have to hide, use this, it'll help keep you alive."

Eyes momentarily turned to Deidrick as he strolled from the room...she supposed that was her hurry it up motion. These things barely waited for goodbyes didn't they? Though not much room to think on that as she was then in Malik's arms. See, it was nice to hear that. He was given a nod and she wiped at her eyes as he left her to go to his closet and she grabbed her chainmail, pulling it on over her head and then pulled on her surcoat as well. There she was again, dark dull colors Piper. Pulling her bandana from her pocket, she pinned her ears back and that kept her hair out of her eyes too. But her attention came back to him as he came out with a cloak, which was duely taken. "I will...I do that well." After all that was part of being a long range fighter...not to mention she had packed something she had fetched from Malik's vaults that would help...not that he knew that yet. He would probably find out when he was doing inventory though.
Strapping on her belt, her sword and whip were strapped on there as well as the tinker bag, her daggers in her boots, bow and quiver across her back. For a moment she just leaned against him, resting her head on his chest despite discomfort from equipment and the new weight on a now freshly healing shoulder. "I love you Malik." Tilting her head up and kissing him...one of those kisses that said goodbye yet didn't at the same time and tried to make up for all the others that would be missed. If she had her way she would have indulged more than that, but Deidrick was ready to go and she still had to face Malikhai. "Come on..." Heading herself downstairs and to the others...after all, she had to see Zahara before she went and of course there was Malikhai. Coming upon the little group she sighed, trying again to keep herself together. "Alrighgt Zahara, you wanted to see me?" Face her first before the child...whom she still didn't like seeing in armor.
Of course upon seeing his mother dressed as she was, he was upset all over again and wriggled out of Zahara's lap to clomp over to his mother nad duely latch to her leg as if that effort was going to make her change her mind. Again, it was great that daddy was going to stay with him...but that didn't mean he didn't want mommy there too. Especially since things were bad all of a sudden now. "No..."

Zahara rolled her eyes at Sevilin, she'd never tell him but she hated it when he said such things. Sometimes she wished she could hammer it into his brain that he wasn't insane and he was worth something. But that was another thing altogether. Her gaze was drawn to a perked up Malikhai who then latched himself to his mother's leg. Poor kid, it was going to be a hard time on him. "Yes I did. I have something for you Piper." She stood and walked upstairs retrieving the chest that she'd put together for Piper. It was small enough to be held easily in her hands and Zahara came back and held out the chest. "This will help you if you get hurt. I've included instructions to help you with all the things that I think you might need..." She trailed off for a moment and shook her head. "Just..take care of yourself okay?"
Zykariel stood up and walked over to her, grabbing onto her skirt and pushing his face against her leg. He was rewarded slightly when she twirled her fingers in his hair.

Aschaellaeon hardly noticed the commotion about the complex as he retreated back to his little cubby. The flowers he had grown from minute traces of pollen that hung delicately about the air, especially near certain people or locations or horses, wilted. He looked at them with a rather heart broken stare. He felt the dead plants, and noticed that the energies that were sustaining them just a few hours ago, seemed to vanish with the earth quake. He looked about the other 'greenery', underdark variations on surface plants created by long dead druids, and breathed a sigh of relief. They were fine.
It would have been bad if all the plants died, and the abnormal levels of carbon dioxide sufficated the Purians.
The druid thought that he should explore this phenonomen more thoroughly, and investigated his powers vigorously. He chuckled when he completed his checks.
EDIT
Tarathiel felt the impact of the quake, dropping his produce to quick-step to prevent a young girl from getting crushed by a falling supportbeam. He scrapped his leg in the process, but only gave it the heed to make sure it wasn't actually damaged severly. Some injuries felt less than they were, after all. He looked about the small market, and tried to help as many people as he could. Cedric-sensei expected as much from him, and he generally liked to help people.
After the initial shock wave, the calamity ended. There were a handful of serious injuries in the market place, but no one had died. Tara-kun looked about for Aella, but found himself somewhat too short to see anything. He did not think it wise to test the remaining structures with himself as a subject... He looked for his produce, and returned to what was left of hte spot where he had parted with Aella.
