She sneered as she was bounced along. "I'm a lizard thing with horns. I am not the beauty I used to be. I spawn." Emphasis on the word. Obviously, laying eggs did not make her happy. "I'm disgusting. I eat my mates. I'll people if given a chance."
Moonstone came in to Delaney's room. "Now hold it, kitty. You're not in much of a condition to be walking around. I think you hit your head there during the quake." He set a glass of milk by the bed, and what looked like a few dried leaves. "Here, choke these down, it'll settle your stomach if it's flipping."
He did not stay long. "I'll be back. Kind of busy." He was a doctor after all.
Deidrick didn't bother hiding. He suspected it was known he was here anyway. Any number of people had seen him come in. He held his heads high in a way that said he wasn't about to back down.
This was more important than some blue drow's protective instincts. This was about saving the world.

Kon trotted though Honoursfield, dust coveringher coat. She looked as if she were merely waisting time, wandering the steets, stopping occasionaly when She found soemthing interesting. But that was quite the contrary, she knew exactly where she was headed.
Kon was hunting.
And there was said prey. Kon moved in on Aella.

Zahara winced as his yelling jarred her ears and she glared after Malik. "I'm going to kill Piper for making me do that." But she was the messenger and she had no choice but to do what Malik said. Thus retrieving said vials and bringing them back upstairs she set them on the table. Zahara was not a happy drow. She wasn't fond of following orders nor was she fond of being the messenger when that message was likely going to get her killed. But she reached down and picked Malikhai up, armor and all and set him on a chair, then repeated the gesture with Zykariel. Malikhai though was easily scooped up and pulled into her lap. She knew he was upset. "Do you like your new armor Malikhai?" she asked softly pulling out two cookies for the boys, handing one to her son with a smile and one to Malikhai. "Do you think Zykariel's will be as neat as yours?" Distract the child with anything in her power. Then over to Sevilin. "What are we doing here and do you need my help?"

"You're reptilian. it's what you do. Make due with a new life, it ain't all that bad."
Malik walked up the stairs and swung that door open. glaring at the three headed dog.
"you're deal is void. I'm not letting you leave these walls for some stupid human and thier assinine and ridiculous quest to restore a surface they don't need anymore. maybe if the magic comes back, I'll allow it but I'm not letting you out there without any means to protect you or even keep track of you."

Did she just pull cookies out of her pockets? No wonder Zykariel thought it was okay to carry them around in his own...and it explained the crumbs in places that Zykariel didn't go. Huh, learn something new everyday.
"Malik wants me to draw out and store magic from these objects." Picking up two collars and a vial, he held the three in one hand, placing his other on then. Hm...now then, how did he do this without runes again? Ah yes. So then a moment of concentration and he drained one collar to create a siphon of the second collar's magics into the vial, hopefully getting the run off from the first too. "This is going to be wasteful...these needs to be hierarchied...a lesser used to drain the other. How good are you at siphoning?"
He gave a sniffled, not feeling happy because his parents certinally weren't and well...mommy was going to be leaving and that wasn't fun. But then there he was being handed a cookie and being sat in her lap, and he allowed her to comfort him for the moment. A nod to her question and then a look to Zykariel on his mention and another sniffle. "He'll look like his daddy, so I think it will." Which was a good thing in his opinon, nibbling his cookie.
She merely kept her packing up for the moment. Don't yell, if she yelled or if he yelled, she was going to loose it and she really didn't want to loose it right now. Therefore she took a breath before anything. "And what if magic won't come back without the surface coming back as well? You don't know, and I don't know. What I do know is that Meilikki told me that she had others gathering these keys I needed. Maybe doing that threw magic out of this plane. Think of that?" Keeping her voice level and rather monotone, that method she used when she was trying to keep herself together...she wasn't a happy woman right now. " My arrow heads can act as wells, so I'll have some sort of magic with me. I'll take a few link stones with me, they still work. I'm sure you can track my collar somehow. We're bonded, you'd know."

Laudi flapped a hand imitating a talking mouth. "I don't need any lectures from you." She grumbled.
Aella was looking For Tarathiel. She could only assume the child had survived the earth quake, because she didnt' think she could take it if he died. She didn't see what was stalking her.
Deidrick lowered his head at the glare and growled. What? You think me being here now and magic being gone isn't connected? He barked. You're one to talk about void deals. Your life is saved, what need have you beyond that. It is not up to you whether or not Piper fullfills her part of the deal.

She was in full on Mommy mode right now and she rocked Malikhai slightly ignoring the sharp edges of his armor biting into her skin. Petting through his hair she nodded. "I think so too. And you look just like your Daddy. So when Zykariel gets his, then you'll both be super handsome boys all ready to defend your House. Won't that be neat?" She reached out a hand and held Zykariel's for a moment squeezing it lightly and prompting him.
Zykariel didn't begrudge Malikhai the comfort he so clearly needed. After all Piper had given him plenty when he'd been upset so it was only fair to return the favor. He squeezed his mother's hand back and nodded. He suddenly had an idea and walked over tugging on Daddy's braid and whispering. "Daddy, where's Rawr?"
Zahara watched her son for a moment and turned her attention to the vials and shook her head. "I've been told I'm rather good with my hands. Can't say I've ever siphoned magic out of an object before but I've siphoned it from myself and I drain and siphon ingredients and such in potions all the time. That enough experience for you?"

Sevilin had gotten a system going, draining a bracelet or a ring to drain the more substantial power of a collar, unless of course his ability to sense magics found the piece of jewelry in a higher power class. Quite efficent indeed. "That's more than enough experience for my tastes. If you'd like to help then you can. If not, then that's fine." After all, she was comforting children and it was important that they remain calm.
But a look down to his own child and he ruffled the boys hair before reaching over to the bag he had brough, feeling aroudn...it was amazing what he shoved in that thing. But he had but Rawr on top so it was easy to get to him. Thus the dragon was pulled out and handed to the boy, "there you are, safe and sound."
He had to give a smile of course as he was told he would look like his daddy and how handsome he was going to be and how they would defend the House. Though mommy wasn't going to be in it and that meant they weren't defending her. Which was upsetting. "Uh huh...really really neat." Leaning into her some, hand gripping at her top.

She nodded to Sevilin and glanced down at the little boy in her arms, tracing his cheek gently. "And then your Mommy and Daddy are going to be so proud of you. And your Daddy will give you that proud smile he gets when you do something well and your Mommy will hug you tight and shower you with kisses." She continued petting through his hair and then kissed his cheek. "She's going to be just fine Malikhai. Your Daddy won't let anything happen to her, right?"
"Thanks Daddy." Zykariel took Rawr from his father and gave him a hug then toddled over to Malikhai and offered up his dragon. "Here you go Malikhai. Rawr helps me feel better when I'm sad. I know he doesn't like to see little elves sad." Thus thought. "Daddy! Where's Nym?" About to be very, very upset. "He didn't get smush-ed did he?" Because usually the little guy had popped up by now.

And yes, that's how I see it. she knew then, that one of us dying could or would bring the plane down, it was in her own self interest to give you that antidote, and yet she forced you into a deal to restore a surface they have no buisness in messing with."
Oh go ahead dog, give me a reason...his hand moved to hold malvolence by the hilt, fully ready to be wielded.
"we're surrounded by orcs and underdark creatures without any magical barriers or magically created creatures to disuade them. I wouldn't trust the survival of my weakest servant right outside the front gate, and I certainly won't trust that this dog is going to keep you safe while you cross the water to Honoursfield."
Onyx only smirked.
"Yeah but I give them anyway."
before coming into his twin's clinic, and setting her down in a room. he wasn't about to wait for an appointment.
"Now stay here."
and he went looking for his twin.

Sevilin just finished capping another vial when the boy asked on the ferret. Reaching down the neck of his tunic and gently drawing out a rather sluggish looking ferret. He laid the creature in his hand and gently stroked his furry body, his eyes flashing in some sort of pain for a moment as he gazed at the creature. He was worried about his friend...after all, the creature should long be dead now, but a rune kept him alive...now there was no rune. His life had been effectively frozen...maybe he'd be alright for a while...just age at normal pace. He held the creature down to his son. "Be gentle with him...he's not feeling well, okay?"
Waiting for the child to take the ferret in secure hold before his went back to siphoning magic, perhaps this time in trying to keep himself preoccupied off of Nym now and all the other general chaos.
He took the dragon from hsi friend and hugged him tight to his armor, practically burying his face in the push as he listened to Zahara. No he was not happy at all. "But mommy won't be here and daddy isn't going with her..." But he did give another sniffle, trying to not cry right now, and he gave another nod. "Daddy promised nothing bad was going to happen to me or mommy and daddy never breaks his promises."
A look down to Deidrick as he growled and barked then back up to Malik. Okay...so Malik did have a point, she was kind of coherced into this. She didn't see that at the time, but there was a difference then. "Malik, she told me things and I still agreed to that deal. She told me that our lives were crucil to the plane and I still agreed. I did it because I was not going to loose you because I may have felt I was getting blade of sword rather than the hilt and wanted to demand the hilt instead." She paused a moment and took a breath...she really hadn't wanted to fight with him. "It was different then Malik. We weren't married, we didn't have a son. Young elves do foolish things when they're being selfish to keep something." Pausing a moment in her packing to look at him, just keep it together. "Serino will keep me safe on my way to Meilikki. He'll continue to do so, he did it for years before, I trust him. I'm sure Meilikki won't send be out alone either, so there will be others there too." If he thought she wanted to do this then he was wrong...she really didn't want to but she more or less had no choice in the matter now. Espcially if magic was going to suffer till she did her job.

Zykariel took the ferret gently and lightly cradled him in his arms. "Poor Nym. You're not feeling well at all. But I bet Mommy has something that will make you feel better." Thus looking at her hopefully.
Zahara cursed whatever was at work right now catching helpless creatures and little elves in its wake. Her ears twitched at Sevilin and Zykariel's conversation and she glanced up in time to see how badly this was affecting him as well. Things were changing so quickly and frankly she was sick of it. She wished Malikhai didn't have any armor on so she could really cuddle him and comfort him but if she rubbed his back she'd be rubbing the breastplate and he wouldn't feel that. "That's because your daddy promised he'd stay here and take care of you. Besides your daddy has to keep his House in line." She was highly tempted to go tell Malik to shove it and go with Piper, that instead of bickering they should be loving on their son and then going off to do this task together. Malik could keep her safe and she and Sevilin could watch Malikhai. "That's right little one, your daddy promised and he won't let you down." She was quiet for a moment then asked softly. "Would you rather your daddy go with your mommy?" Her gaze went to her son and she nodded, "I'll look in a second." She didn't have what they needed though. They needed magic. Runes. Something to keep the ferret in his suspended point in his life cycle. Poor thing. THey couldn't lose Nym, Sevilin would be devastated.

Moosntoen ran into his brother in the hall, looking over the files on his clipboard. He had a lot of patients right now, and was tending to the most critical right now while his assitance attended to minor injures. "Onyx?" A once over look. "You're not hurt are you?"
Deidrick took a couple steps backwards, his ears back and his teeth bared. He did not like howthis man talked about his mistress. Like restoring the surface would was in Meilikki's best interest, she wouldn't live long enough to even see the surface. She had nothing to gain from it.
He stuck close to Piper, figuring that was the safest place to be right now, And hey, if the windy horse could help her travel, all the better. It's not exactly like he wanted the moon elf hurt on the way over. That would reflect very badly on him.

Face still buried in Rawr he shook his head. If he couldn't have both parents he at least wanted one around him to keep come semblence of normalcy. In truth he wanted both of them to stay...then again daddy did promise that if he had to go somewhere that he would take him too. Point was he just wasn't ready to be away from his parents just yet. Not many toddlers would want to be.
"Sure...I bet she does." Saying it for the child's benifit. The little ferret was feeling drained right now, maybe he just did need a little pick me up and then he would be fine and hopefully stay fine until he worked out a solution for the ferret. Maybe he could fix up a well like collar using a piece of link crystal or something. He was inventive.

She understood Malikhai's feelings quite well and merely kept a hold on the boy while she flagged down a serf. "Send someone to finish the inventory of the medical supplies. Have the kitchen do the same, even down to the spices and everything in the castle. I want to know how many blankets we have, how many pillows. If we have it, I want to know about it, and exact amounts as if we were preparing for a siege. Then I want a list of everyone living inside the fortress. Have them sign a piece of parchment or something so we have an idea of how many we've got in case we need to ration and a system will be easier to set in place. Also, have anyone with weapons expertise go down to the arena after the midday meal. Lord D'vinn needs an idea of his current resources. When the lists are compiled, bring them to me. That's all." Dismissing the serf with a wave of her hand she kept her hold on Malikhai and reached out tugging Zykariel over and patting the chair next to her. "We'll get him fixed up as soon as I find something alright little one?"
He just nodded and kept cradling the ferret. He couldn't imagine what Daddy or he would do if anything happened to his little friend. He was worried about Khai too.
