A weird group of people have been taking pokemon and doing weird experiments on them, your mission is to go and stop them and get their weird passcard! (You will fight 5 bad dudes)

I was watching the news again, and on came a special report.

Breaking news straight from Mossdeep City! Five scientists have been doing weird experiments on Pokémon that they stole from trainers. Other trainers, if you could help, please help the trainers get them back. If you do help, their lab is a small, dark gray building with no windows.

I turned off the T.V, and debated about whether I should go or not. I made up my mind after a few minutes and decided I could lose a day to do this quest. I sent out Charizard and told it to fly to Mossdeep, and we were off.

We landed about 15 minutes later, and I returned Charizard to its Pokéball. I sent out Grovyle and advanced towards what I knew to be their lab. I walked inside and prepared for a fight but nobody was inside. I traveled deeper into the building, finally seeing the first scientist.

"First I put the green liquid into the vial, then the red into that. Then I mix them together and add the blue." he mumbled to himself. Hearing footsteps, he looked up and saw me, sent out a Cloyster, and then went back to his work. I could still hear him mumbling, but it wasn’t as loud as before.

"Grovyle, Leaf Blade!" I said. Grovyle darted forward and slashed Cloyster with its arms, then darted back. The man turned from his work and said, "Aurora Beam," then turned back. A colorful beam emitted from Cloyster’s mouth, hitting Grovyle.

"Grovyle, use Slam!" I said. Grovyle jumped up and landed on Cloyster, and once again jumped back. "Cloyster, Spike Cannon." the scientist said without turning this time. Cloyster shot spikes at Grovyle, but Grovyle was unable to dodge as they were sprinkled all around it.

"False Swipe!" I said. Grovyle jumped forward and faked a swipe, then swiped with the other hand. The attack did devastating damage to Cloyster, almost KOing it. "Cloyster, Ice Beam." the scientist said, again not paying attention to the battle. A frozen beam flew at Grovyle, but Grovyle was able to dodge.

"Finish it with Giga Drain!" I said. Grovyle stole some of Cloyster’s energy, and Cloyster was defeated. "Cloyster, return." the man said, turning to Cloyster. "Azumarill, its your turn." Cloyster disappeared and was replaced by Azumarill.

"Rollout." he said, turning back to his work. Azumarill curled into a ball and rolled towards Grovyle, whacking it and sending it high in the air. "Grovyle, Strength!" I said. Grovyle jumped into Azumarill, knocking it off its balance. "Azumarill, Rollout!" the scientist said. Azumarill rolled into a ball again and rammed Grovyle, then turned around.

"Grovyle, Solarbeam!" I said. Grovyle prepared for the attack, and Azumarill rolled again towards Grovyle. Grovyle dodged, and released the energy. The green beam hit Azumarill and KOed it, and the scientist returned it. "Corsola, beat him." he said. Corsola appeared, ready to battle.

"Corsola, Ancientpower." the scientist said. Corsola trapped Grovyle in a magical force field, and then squeezed. Grovyle tried to push, but it wasn't strong enough. The attack squeezed the strength out of Grovyle and it fainted. "Grovyle, return." I said. "Metang, its your turn!" Grovyle disappeared and was replaced by Metang.

"Metang, Psychic!" I said. Metang concentrated and levitated Corsola, then crashed it into a wall. The crash brought footsteps, and soon another scientist was waiting for me. "Corsola, Headbutt." the man said. Corsola jumped forward and rammed Metang with its head, not doing much.

"Metang, Shadow Ball!" I said. Metang released a ball of dark energy, which headed straight for Corsola. "Corsola, Bubblebeam." the man said. Bubbles emitted from Corsola's mouth and hit Metang. "Metang, Return!" I said. Metang did a ton of damage since we had a good relationship. Corsola was KOed, and the man returned it. He turned to his work, defeated.

The second man walked up to me and sent out a Haunter. "Hypnosis!" he said. Metang started to feel sleepy, and fell asleep soon after. "Metang, wake up!" I yelled. Metang couldn't here me, however. "Haunter, use Dream Eater!" my opponent said. Haunter delved into Metang's dreams, causing it to writhe in fear. Metang finally woke up though, sweating from the attack.

"Metang, Psychic!" I said. Metang took control of Haunter's mind and smashed it into a wall. “Haunter, use Shadow Ball!” he said. Haunter released a ball of dark energy it had formed in its hands. The attack hit Metang and almost KOed it. “Metang, Metal Claw!” I said. Metang’s claws grew bright, and it whacked Haunter with them.

“Haunter, Thief!” the man said. Haunter darted forward to attack and steal my item, but I had equipped no items to it. “Metang, Psychic!” I said. Metang emitted powerful waves of telepathic energy that KOed Haunter. “Return.” the man said. “You fought well.” He pulled another Pokéball from his belt and threw it. A Misdreavus appeared.

“Misdreavus, finish it with Hidden Power!” the man said. Misdreavus let go of an unknown power that hit Metang with great force and KOed it. “Metang, return.” I said. Metang disappeared, and this time it was I who pulled the Pokéball from my belt. “Charizard, its your turn!”

I threw the Pokéball and Charizard appeared. “Flamethrower!” Charizard emitted a huge flame that hit Misdreavus. “Misdreavus, Psybeam!” the man said. Misdreavus let out a colorful beam that hit Charizard. “Charizard, Wing Attack!” I said. Charizard flew in the air and came down hard upon Misdreavus, creating a racket. The other scientists were surely awake.

“Misdreavus, Thunderbolt!” the man said, Misdreavus let out a bolt of lightning that struck Charizard, knocking him to the ground. “Charizard, finish it with Fire Blast!” I said. From the ground, Charizard let out a huge flame, KOing Misdreavus and doing a ton of damage to the equipment around.

“Misdreavus, return.” the scientist said, not giving up. Misdreavus disappeared, and he was again pulling a Pokéball from inside his coat. “Sableye, its your turn!” He threw it and Sableye appeared. “Faint Attack!” Sableye began to beckon Charizard forward, and it was too late to stop Charizard. Sableye jumped and slashed Charizard, but Charizard was extremely strong.

“Dragon Claw!” I said. Charizard’s claws grew silver and he whacked Sableye. “Sableye, use Dig!” he said. Sableye dug underground. “Charizard, use Fly and look for where Sableye comes up, then attack!” I said. Charizard flew up in the air and scanned the ground, waiting for Sableye. When Sableye poked its head above ground, Charizard was already upon him.

“Sableye, Aerial Ace!” he said. Sableye darted towards Charizard and rammed into him. “Charizard, Fire Blast!” I said. Charizard emitted another huge flame that KOed Sableye. The man returned Sableye and ran out of the room, no doubt to warn the others about me.

I walked on, heading towards the center of the lab. I soon ran into another scientist. He sent out an Espeon. “Psychic!” he said. Espeon picked Charizard up telepathically and slammed him into a wall. “Charizard, Overheat!” I said. Charizard let go of a third huge flame, but this time it was weakened.

“Espeon, Confusion!” he said. Espeon again picked Charizard up, though using less force. It slammed it into the wall a final time, and Charizard fainted. “Charizard, return. Flygon, take his place!” I said. Charizard disappeared and was replaced by Flygon. “Dragonbreath!” I said. Flygon took a huge breath and let go, doing a ton of damage to Espeon.

“Espeon, Psybeam!” the man said. Espeon emitted a powerful beam that hit Flygon. “Flygon, Giga Drain!” I said. Flygon did some damage to Espeon and stole half of it, adding it to its own health. “Espeon, use Cut!” the man said. Espeon darted forward and slashed at Flygon, but didn’t do much damage.

“Flygon, finish it with Return!” I said. Flygon did a ton of damage with the attack due to our friendship. Espeon fainted, and the man returned it. “Unknown, come on out!” Unknown appeared. “Hidden Power!” Unknown let out an unknown energy that hit Flygon,

“Flygon, use Solarbeam!” I said, Flygon took in energy from the sun peeking through the windows. “Hidden Power!” the man said again. Unknown again released an unknown energy that hit Flygon. “Flygon, attack!” Flygon released the energy it had stored and did a ton of damage to Unknown.

“Hidden Power!” the man said. Unknown released a third hidden energy, this one doing more damage than the last two. “Flygon, finish it with Hyper Beam!” I said. Flygon charged its attack and did a ton of damage to Unknown, KOing it. The man returned Unknown and sent out a Kadabra.

“Kadabra, use Confusion!” the man said. Kadabra poked at Flygon’s mind and took control, forcing him to smash into a wall. Flygon fainted, and I returned it. “Ivysaur, it’s your turn!” Ivysaur appeared, and I told it to use Razor Leaf. Ivysaur emitted leaves from its back that zoomed towards Kadabra and hit it.

“Kadabra, Future Sight!” the man said. Kadabra focused and started storing its energy. “Ivysaur, use Solarbeam!” I said, and Ivysaur began to take in the sunlight. "Kadabra, Psybeam!" he said. Kadabra released a powerful beam of energy that hit Ivysaur and did some damage.

“Ivysaur, attack!” I said. Ivysaur released the sunlight in a huge beam. It hit Kadabra and sent it flying. “Kadabra, retaliate!” the man yelled. Kadabra released the energy it had stored and did a ton of damage to Ivysaur. I gave Ivysaur a Super Potion.

“Ivysaur, Vine Whip!” I said. Vines shot from Ivysaur’s back and hit Kadabra, KOing it. The man hung his head, defeated. He returned Kadabra and left the room, still hanging his head. I continued deeper into the building, finding the fourth scientist in a room with cages filled with Pokémon surrounding the walls.

The fourth scientist was a lady. She sent out a Flaaffy, telling it to use Iron Tail. Flaaffy’s tail grew silver and it whacked Ivysaur with it. “Ivysaur, use Leech Seed!” I said. Leeches shot from Ivysaur’s back and landed on Flaaffy. “Flaaffy, use Brick Break!” Flaaffy did some damage to Ivysaur by chopping at its back, but Ivysaur stole some back from the leeches.

“Ivysaur, use Giga Drain!” I said. Ivysaur stole even more of Flaaffy’s energy. “Flaaffy, use Strength!” the lady said. Flaaffy stored its energy for a few seconds, then slammed into Ivysaur. I gave Ivysaur another Super Potion, and Flaaffy again attacked with Strength, but again lost energy to the leeches.

“Ivysaur, use Giga Drain!” I said. Ivysaur stole Flaaffy’s energy once again, but this time Flaaffy was KOed. “Flaaffy, return.” she said. “Raichu, come on out!” Flaaffy disappeared and was replaced by Raichu. “Secret Power!” Raichu surrounded Ivysaur with an invisible force, and Ivysaur was KOed.

“Ivysaur, return.” I said. “Swampert, its your turn!” Swampert appeared and took Ivysaur’s place, negating the advantage over Water with Ground. “Muddy Water!” Swampert filled the room around Raichu with dark water, doing little damage. “Raichu, use Strength!” she said. Raichu stored his energy and then rammed Swampert.

“Swampert, use Earthquake!” I said. Swampert shook the ground, and Raichu took a ton of damage. “Raichu, use Rock Smash!” Rocks poured down onto Swampert, having little effect whatsoever. “Swampert, finish it with Mud Shot!” I said. Swampert threw mud at Raichu and KOed it.

“Raichu, return. Manectric, it’s your turn!” she said. Raichu disappeared and Manectric took its place. “Quick Attack!” Manectric darted towards Swampert and rammed it. “Swampert, use Ice Beam!” I said. Swampert emitted a beam of frozen energy that hit Manectric and froze it.

“Manectric, bust free!” the woman yelled helplessly. “Swampert, use Take Down!” I said. Swampert rammed into Manectric, taking recoil. The woman continued to scream helplessly as Manectric was frozen solid. “Swampert, use Earthquake!” I said. Swampert again shook the ground, though this time the ice shattered, but Manectric was already done.

The woman returned Manectric and ran off into a different part of the building. Meanwhile, I started to free the Pokémon in the cages. When I freed a Heracross, he tried to slash at me. I backed off, sending out Scyther. Swampert was just too strong for this battle. I wanted to catch the Heracross, not defeat it.

“Scyther, use Wing Attack!” Scyther flew into the air and dashed down on Heracross, who retaliated with Fury Attack, stabbing Scyther four times. “Scyther, Slash!” Scyther slashed at Heracross with its claws, and I threw a Pokéball. Shake, shake, shake, ding! “I caught a Heracross!” I jumped for joy.

I returned Scyther and continued on my search for the last scientist. I knew there were five. I found the last one trying to conduct an experiment on a Pokémon. Upon the sound of my approach, he turned. He sent out a Sandslash. I sent out Swampert. “Sandslash, use Swift!” he said. Sandslash sent out little stars that hit Swampert.

“Swampert, use Surf!” I said. Swampert fired water from its mouth and Sandslash took a ton of damage. “Sandslash, use Sand Tomb!” Quicksand appeared around and under Swampert, slowly pulling it under. “Swampert, use Muddy Water!” I said. Swampert filled the room with dirty water, KOing Sandslash and making the quicksand weak enough to leap out of.

“Sandslash, return.” the man said. “Sudowoodo, it’s your turn!” Sandslash disappeared and Sudowoodo took its spot. “Slam!” Sudowoodo rammed into Swampert. “Swampert, use Surf!” Swampert again filled the room with water, doing a ton of damage to Sudowoodo.

“Sudowoodo, use Flail!” the man said. Sudowoodo flailed its arms wildly and whacked Swampert, doing much damage. “Swampert, Muddy Water!” Swampert filled the room with dirty water again, this time KOing Sudowoodo. The man returned it, and then sent out Mightyena. I gave Swampert my last Super Potion.

“Mightyena, use Take Down!” the man said. Mightyena leaped at Swampert and took recoil after hitting. “Swampert, use Focus Punch!” I said. Swampert punched at Mightyena and did a ton of damage. “Mightyena, use Crunch!” the man said. Mightyena darted forward and bit down on Swampert. Swampert paused to get its energy back.

“Mightyena, use Crunch again!” Mightyena again bit down on Swampert, doing even more damage. “Swampert, finish him with Focus Punch!” Swampert again punched Mightyena, doing a ton of damage and KOing Mightyena. The man returned him and ran out of the room, probably heading for the exit.

I looked on the table, noticing a few papers, but more importantly, a card. This was what I was looking for. I took it and slipped it in my pocket, wondering what information it contained. I left the room and the building behind, then sent out Charizard, hopping on and heading back to HQ.

Me: Not neccasarily. A good mission has a good story and good battling. This one may or may not have a good story, but it does have good battling.
