Onyx looked at her.
"Do you a favor eh. It's an appealing offer. but unfortunately my father beat into my skull something resembling honor."
So heaving her up.
"we're taking you to a medical clinic first. if they can't fix you, I'll finish what the underdark started. if they can, and you want to fight some more, feel free. But it's no fun to kill you simply because I can when the only reason for it is that we had an earthquake and you were unlucky enough to have it happen right under your feet."
Why didn't he go after Tarathiel? because he had assumed when Aella got off to a run, the first person she'd go for is the kid to get him out of potential danger.

Serino snorted at Deidrick. He knew the creature well enough by his scent and that of Meilikki on him as well, and through simple deduction he could tell where this beast was from and what he had come for. Not that the idea pleased the Zephyr. He nudged the creature with his nose to get him going and then started walking himself as if to say come on I'll escort you in. Sure, he didn't like the idea...but knew to prolong such a message would only prolong Piper's anxiety of it all.

She didn't ahve much of a choice, being injured as she was. She harrumphed, and let Onyx carry her as he would. "Fine. But if I'm not on the mend, I want to die. Your word."
Deidrick looked up at the windy horse, followed when he was nudged. He didn't much understand how this creature did it. He had never needed to communicate like this. As unwelcome as the dog knew he was, he was appreicative of the escort.

Sure, some may think a horse in the house was something to stop and think about for a moment, but not here. It was quite common that Serino was in the place randomly. Thus he quite comfortably lead Deidrick along until he found Piper with Zahara, the two of them doing inventory. A nicker from him to get thier attention and a toss of his head to Deidrick at his hooves.
They were quite efficent at this. She had just finished her own little batch when Serino made an appearance and she blinked at him. "Serino what is it?" Looking down as the horse tossed his head. The sight of Deidrick was relieving yet upsetting at the same time. But she walked over, kneeling down to the dog, a pet for each head. "Hello Deidrick..."

One head barked a greeting, another gave Piper's hand a lick. He sat down and lowered his head. He didn't know how to tell her what he needed to, even though he figured that she knew what his presence signified. He wanted to appoligize too, for comming so soon after the earthquake. He wanted to say many, many things.
He gave a slow, drawn out whine.

She blinked at him, chatter not coming from the creature, but only a bark and a whine. Which was odd because he was a talkative fellow. "You can't talk can you? Seems magic leaving us is harder on some than others." A look to Serino. "Can you talk to him? You understand creatures." It was obvious he wanted to say something, even as she pet him him at his whine. "I can halfway understand you Deidrick if you want to say something...though I know why you're here...Meilikki sent you to bring me back to her, right?" After all, the wood elf in her gave an understanding to such natural languages...though her canine speak wasn't so brushed up on.

"Why exactly is that. you seem rather good looking, a bit...pissy, but otherwise in a good shape, present injuries not withstanding."
Hey, there was Moonstone's clinic. Moonstone could fix her up, maybe have to use some of his shaman magic but it was doable. he wasn't about to try his. last time didn't turn out very good at all.
Troops were out, everything getting sorted and ready for combat. Malik and Sevilin were with the boys, Zykariel getting his polearm and chainmail, presently going through all the leashes and collars and jewelry.
"So far it seems like they don't have enough power on thier own. maybe use up one for a enchantment transferance. siphon power from several into one object. Any thoughts from you, Inthra?"
before his eyes narrowed lightly. that was a dog whine, and they didn't have a dog in thier menagerie. but he knew who did.

Zahara had easily divided the store up into four sections and given Piper one to start on while she worked on another. Piper knew any questions she might have could be directed straight to her and she began a running tally, making sure all the essentials were there. There were a few things that she'd need to go out and find, either by way of the market in Deepwater or finding them in the Underdark. She didn't trust anyone else to get her what she wanted, to know what they were looking for, or to keep from paying exorbitant prices for things. Thus, she'd do it herself. But that was for later. For now she was chin up in vials, and dried weeds. Glacinng over at Piper she shook her head. "Is that the messenger here to get you?" Then she needed to get Piper's little survival kit and bring it down. Thank goodness she'd had the foresight to get it all together with instructions to boot before this crisis had occurred. "I have something for you before you leave."

Malik wasn't too thrilled with the collapse the tunnels that lead outward in but they kept it as a back plan. After all, when worse came to worse you had to do certain things. He was currently playing with objects and working things in his head. Sevilin despite being clinically insane was quite ingenius sometimes. "I like the idea...if we can make it so we can literally carry a few vials of pure magic to siphon and convert to our own forms, we'd be in a much better position than we are now. Problem its, there aren't too many leak proof holders gor pure magic..."
A shake of his head as he thought on it, then a thought and he pulled out the link crystal he had shoved in his pocket. A squeeze to it an it reactivated. "Either some natural materials or some objects are rechargable it seems. I used this earlier and they work on magic...yet they haven't gone out yet. I think it would be best if we can figure what those things are."
A look from Deidrick over to Zahara. "Yes, it is." Giving another pet to each head and then a nod as she more or less took to staring off in no descript direction. "Alright, I'll make sure that I see you before I leave. Tell Malik for me?" Getting herself up from her kneel...she needed to go pack. "Come on Deidrick...let's go to my room so I can get my things." Thus heading up to her room to do so.

"Or the power it uses per usage is very small in relation to the power the object carries. as for vials..I have that covered. certain crafting processes require solidified mana. those vials used to store it should be able to hold liquid magic without leaking. but I don't have a great deal of them. maybe twelve tops."
though a nod.
"We'll need to head to the Vault as well. You haven't been there yet, have you? we need to find someway of measuring this out so that we get power relative to the cost of our magics. Runics, for example, are much more draining than healing, I imagine."
thank the gods for Piper and the dog that Sevilin was keeping him occupied or he'd be over there by now and they'd be arguing. or probably threatening the dog since the oracle wasn't here to threaten.

Sure she got to be messenger and likely upset a very small boy in the process. She knew Malik wasn't going to be thrilled but Malikhia was going to take it hard. Sighing, she recapped the vial she'd been inspecting and took a sweeping glance around the room. She had to admit, Twilight kept its stores up to date and in decent condition. He had all the basic important things he might need and those that he didn't were more for those with specialized knowledge to recognize and require. Some of it was in her personal stores and some of it wasn't. She was going to be depending entirely on herbs and her knowledge to heal now that magic wasn't an easy way out. But she pushed herself to her feet and brushed off the dust and random leaves before heading out to find the boys. It was easy enough to locate them, going through what looked like a big pile of junk. "Malik, Piper's got a visitor by the name of Deidrick. He's here to get her for her task."

A shrug. "I've never seen a link crystal run out, even when a rune mage isn't around. Though I have seen them grow dim and not be as effective." Laying the crystal on the table before crossing his arms over his chest with a nod. "And I suppose there's no way to reproduce those easily...a dozen isn't even enough to divide between you and me and be effective." Back to square one. "We still need to pool the magic...we could also deconstruct these things...turn them into chain link and carry lengths of them...almost like candle wicks you know?"
But he gave a nod. "I'm sure you would know, being a necromancer, what it feels like for someone to have thier circulatory system and bones ripped out, while everything else remains in place...that's what I felt like this morning, and that is what it still feels like. Runic energies being enternal really pulled a drain on me...I can draw from outer sources but it's a considerable amount that's needed...well for anything beyond basic runes."
His attention turned to Zahara for a moment as she played messenger...with a horribly bad message. She just lit the powder keg didn't she?
He himself gave a gasp at the mention of mommy leaving, and that turned any attention he had given to Zykariel. He flailed a moment as he tried to turn and then tried to take off at a run to mommy. Unfortunately he didn't really know how to run in armor and all, so he tripped and fell before getting two steps. That was frustrating.
Piper was in the process of shoving everything that she had been getting toether for a while now into one of those tinker bags. Better to bring way more than the clothes on her back this trip around. Though a pause to look at her arrows...thier trips were that enchanged metal. At least she'd have some draw source with her if she really needed it. Aside from packing she was perparing herself for a reaction from her husband and son.

"PIPER SILVERFEATHER D'VINN!"
Malik spun himself around and aimed his gaze right at the stairs. first, he was going to flay that dog. then, he was locking her in a room until magic was back. no way in Innoruuk's cauldron was she getting out of here and going around the underdark by herself in this condition. He picked up his son, and looked at him.
"give yourself extra space in your steps and a little wider leg movement you'll be fine."
Then his gaze turned to the messenger.
"You, downstairs. two flights, fourth door on the left hand side. grab all the blue tinted and red tinted vials in there. there should be at least twelve blue, but grab all of it, bring them up here and set them on this table."
slamming his hand down on it. then back to sevilin.
"Get everythig we can situated, once she gets back, start transfering energy to those vials. the red ones, if we have any, will concentrate it. make it stronger. once that's done, let me know."
and Malik started to march himself upstairs, not happy in the tiniest form of the word.

And there was the exlposion. That was a yell loud enough to make you cringe, even Sevilin. Though Malik was quick then to give orders before heading off. He looked to the two children and placed a hand on Malikhai's shoulder as the boy wanted to go off after his father. "No, you stay here."
"But mommy is-"
"She will see you before she leaves, I'm sure of it. But right now your partents need a moment." The giving him a not so happy look, but apparently decided not to go anywhere just yet. Thus he turned his attention to Zahara as he waited for the girl to come back with the vials. "Well...if things weren't stresful enough, right?"
Yes she heard that yell, and thought she was prepared for the argument they were no doubt about to enter into. "Might wanna cover your ears and hang out in the closet or something Deidrick...he's not a happy elf." But back to her packing and waiting for iniment doom and such.

A few twitch of her eyes and Delaney opened them only to see that was properly laying down. Someone must had moved her from the floor to this bed.
She felt as if she had been drinking and now had a hangover as a result but of course she didn't remember drinking. She couldn't remember what happened before she woke up but she knew herself and knew that she never drank more than one glass of wine a week.
She managed to sit up and look around her. As she tried to take in the details of the room she remembered bit by bit what had happened. Now she understood why she felt bad. What had happened earlier? What was that earthquake all about?
The female cat tried to get up on her feet but ended up falling back on the bed. She let out a small grunt and holded her head.
