"Yeah I know." But she really really didn't want to get into a fight over it. Who knew how compliant he would be now that her survival rate had more or less decreased...then again one could say her survival rate was upped as well. But a nod to her friend, she had never told her why she was in debt to Meilikki, just that she was. "I have to...she gave me the means to save Malik's life...and now I potientially save others with bringing about a habitable surface." A shake of her head, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "And Malikhai knows i'll be leaving now...it's a terrible feeling I get from him." Bonds were very hard to deal with sometimes. But she decided to keep things somewhat light with the second subject. "Of course it's not a problem...I have plenty of room...the horses should be fine anyway. Though do be prepared if we get a backlash of angry customers. Those shoes we put on them are enchanted...and magic is gone." But a snap of her fingers. "Wait...we can draw magic from those too." A nod and then a look to her friend. "Want to help me round up people and then I'll help you inventory medical supplies?"
He had given a nod to Zahara as she made her own wants known before heading off and he turned his attention on Malik. These two stragegizing and organizing together was probably something of the impressive sort. Once Sevilin had a good grip on things, he was efficent as ever. "Duely noted." He'd suffer through a horse...but good thing Malik had a solution to the amount of things he'd have to bring. "One trip is all that I need then, I assure you. And if you don't mind, I'll grab a horse and make that trip now before things get too out of hand. I'll throw whatever I have into your pile and we'll work up numbers. Give me fifteen minutes." Thus giving a nod to Malik and turning on his heel, heading out to the stables...in paranoid fashion of course.
Though being set down he didn't wander and inch away, merely kept hold to his father's pant leg but not being in the way either. But as Sevilin left there was a tug. After all, things were happening all around him and he didn't quite understand what all was happening. But he did know he was still feeling icky. "Daddy, are bad things happening?"

She nodded, "Elves don't renege on debts and Malik knows enough about honor to be open to that. He's just going to be feeling protective of what he has now that something so dear to him has been snatched. I'm surprised Sevilin hasn't yanked Zykariel away from me yet." Then he knew how much Kariel had wanted her to be his mother and she knew Sevilin would die if it would make that boy happy. She didn't know much about bonds but she could remember how strongly Piper felt things when she'd randomly leave a conversation in the middle of it because she sensed Malikhai was hungry when he was just a baby. "They'll survive. It's not our fault magic is gone and we can't make them do things they physically cannot do despite what they could when they were purchased." She tossed her head. "Just let me deal with angry customers. You focus on keeping Malik and Malikhai calm and getting ready for your task." Grinning she laughed, "You were thinking just like me, Piper. I was going to recruit you to help me inventory so it's only fair I let you recruit me as well. Lead on."

A look down at his son.
"Bad things indeed. But we'll be alright. as long as your in here with me and your mother, nothing is going to get you. I promise you that, not one creature that may come from outside is going to so much as breath on you as long as I can help it."
He picked his son up, and set him on the cleared off table.
"Remember that I told you mommy is going to have to go because of the debt she had with the Oracle? this is part of it. thier trying to rebirth a world on the surface, and it's knocking everything around a bit."
Still wanted to kill that human b***h.
"But we'll get through it. it's a storm, but after it the surface should be back, and then everything will be set right again. Or your dad's going to go make it right."
Broog came upstairs, carrying his trunk, looking like a scared child.
"What happened to da finger wiggler metal? they can't makes it no more. did broog do something bad?"
Malik looked at Broog, then put his son on a chair and had him put the chest on the table.
"No broog. someone turned off all the finger wiggler power. Even mine. So I need all the leashes we have, and all the unused collars. Would you be a big helper and do that for me, and you'll get a special treat."
Broog looked at Malik. then titled his head.
"Even da master's wiggles?"
"Even mine, Broog. But the collars and the leashes can help. Broog was a very smart boy to make them even when they weren't needed. becuase we need them now to draw wiggles out of."
For the love of Innoruuk, he wished his one intelligent jeweler was just a bit more intelligent.
Broog gave a grin at the praise, and nodded his head.
"We gets all of dem we didn't used ups."
and back downstairs he went to do just that.
Malik opened up the chest, and started piling magical items. necklaces, rings, bracelets. nothing really spectacular, but perhaps enough of them together would be worth something. light spells and levitations mostly on these things. and not very powerful version either.
"Malikhai, do me a big favor and go into my study. on the right hand side of the door, there's a brick. it has a little feather on the left lower corner. push it. when you do, you'll get access to a chest. open it up, and bring what's in it to me. and while your there, tell one of the help to get your sword."
of course what was in it was armor for his son. might be a little big on him, but at least the breastplate might fit. after all it was designed for him to be about a five year old's height.

"You can leave Zykariel with Malik...I don't know if he's willing to let Malikhai from his sight." After all, that was perhaps Malik's only son and with the way he felt about family it was no surprise to her. But she led the two back downstairs, indeed dropping Zykariel off with Malik so the two children could get thier comfort from each other before she and Zahara made thier way to the stables. "Why is my junk all over?" Looking over to see Sevilin mounting up a freshly saddled zephyr...Sevilin didn't ride horses. She watched him a moment as he gave the animal a light kick to get it trotting out the stables, "Be careful Sevilin." Thus going to stalls and pulling out Serino and Ramoth. "You take Serino Zahara." Pulling herself up on the nightmare...with some difficulty because of her shoulder.
Sevilin merely gave the women a passing look and bucked up his courage when it came to horses. He let the horse trot before giving a kick to put it into a gallop. Good thing he was from Andal and knew how zephyrs worked. Thus it took him merely a blink to get where he wanted to be. First to the little ministables he went, throwing open corral and stables to let the horses out, taking a moment with Faete. "Go to Twilight." Escaping being bit at so the horse could go lead others.
Back to the house with him and he kicked open his own front door to break the makeshift lock he had set up. Once there he didn't take long to clear the place out of essential things. Runic and potions books, every weapon and piece of armor he had, all of Zahara's potions and medicinal things, any weapons she had. Raiding closets to get thier clothes and anything esle that was of use or may be needed. Then hitting his sons room picking out a few things the child was close too, especially rawr and into the bag they went too.
Giving the house one more look over he resolved that he had everything he needed and headed back outside, attaching the decievingly full bag to the saddle of his horse before saddling up again, giving another check of the stables to make sure it was empty and it was back to Twilight for him.
Well that made him feel better now didn't it? Toddlers needed reassurance and Malik easily gave it to the child...except the part about mommy...because of the implication of her having to leave and that still wasn't a pleasing thought to him right now. He proceeded to put some. "I don't like it..." But at least he had daddy's promise to make it all better and daddy could do that kind of thing.
His attention turned to Broog as he came up with his chest and he was set in the chair. Though he did turn somewhat of a smile at how his father conversed with the ogre, then watched as Malik rifled through items. A look to his mother as she dropped Zykariel off with them with a word and then left with Zahara. His friend didn't look too happy right now. Then he lit up as he got a little task, giving a nod and he grabbed Zykariel's hand, toddled off downstairs to Malik's study, doing as instructed. Armor...hm, wasn't that interesting. But it was duely gathered up between the two boys, help was told to get his sword and they toddled back to Malik.

Zykariel was impressed and slightly jealous. "You get armor and a sword. Lucky." But he merely carried it back up and followed his friend to stand before Mr. Malik.
Zahara mounted Serino with no trouble and echoed Piper's admonishment to Sevilin before she rode off. It didn't take too long to round everyone up. Only a few needed extra convincing at the point of a blade since most recognized Twilight as the safest place for them to go. She pulled Serino to a halt in the courtyard and then gazed out over all they'd rounded up. "Lord and Lady D'vinn request your presence here at the fortress. There are rooms being prepared in the upper regions of the fortress as I speak. You are each to select a room for your own. If we run out, you begin bunking together. Any questions? No. Good. Get moving. Lord D'vinn doesn't like stragglers."

A look to his friend as they pushed armor and such onto the table for daddy. "Maybe you'll get some too now...bad stuffs happening." Hey it seemed like a reasonable idea to him now didn't it. And Zykariel was part of the House.
"Anyone who wants to bunk in the nursery can also do so. Don't have a bed, fetch a cot." Hey with things like they were there was no way her son was sleeping more than ten feet from her and Zahara probably felt the same...if not her then Sevilin most likely would. Then a look to Zahara. "You might want to go claim a room as your own for you, Sevilin and Zykariel. I don't expect you to share with anyone else." Sliding down off of Ramoth she gave the horse a pat. "Go round up your own girl...no more far free range for a while." Walking to the stables once more and grabbing a horse blanket, heading over to the draithix pen. Those little guys were gathered up into the blanket which became a makeshift pack and handed to one of those headed inside. There, people, horses, and draithix taken care of. Time to head back in.
Sevilin trotted into the stables not long after Piper left them, leaving the horse to be untacked by the help and he grabbed the oh so convient bag, walking through the small crowd and actually over to Zahara...what was she doing out here. "Playing round up?" A gesture to the bag. "I have everything you asked for in here and everythign else we need, and some things we may not. Come on." Gesturing to the fortress.

Of course after Zykariel had been dropped off with him, he already had grabbed more help while others were starting to get in and get settled. Broog was sitting in a chair, paitently waiting instructions while two or three chests of unused collars and leashes sat around. a glance at the Ogre.
"Go tell Tremor I want a toddler sized chainmail tunic, and polearm. mimic sevilins as much as possible."
while he kneeled down and helped his son get into and strapped up in his breastplate, hmm. not too big. he son was a growing boy. alright, and then the rest of it, before putting on his belt and frog and getting his sword at his hip like it should be.
"Until this is all done, I want you to stay in this armor except for reverie, alright?"
and a look to Zykariel.
"That'll go for you too when Tremor gets yours done."
Gods forbid if anything happened to thier parents, he was damned well making sure the children had a fighting chance.
"and if anything bad happens, I want you both to stay near Broog. he'll help protect you."
After all, first and foremost, Broog was a Breaker. the rest of course woudl be stationed outside, and who knows how loyal Tremor might be. Broog's loyalty was a certainity.
"you know how to fight, but first and foremost is safety. I want you to get away from anything that might hurt you. fight only if you absolutely have to."
True, it was way to early to be thinking that kind of thing. after all, not one foot had been set on Twilight land yet that didn't belong there. which was why it was better to say it now, rather then in the midst of or right before, a conflict.

She nodded to Piper and then gave instructions to the stable hands for when Faete and the others arrived. She'd be down to check on the others later. It was rather funny watching Sevilin ride a horse that she knew he despised but she wisely held her tongue and merely nodded to him. "Piper recruited me." She directed a few more towards the fortress and then followed after him. "We need to get a room too. One with a big enough bed for the three of us. The nursery's being turned into rooms for them and I don't really want Zykariel that far from us."
Zykariel nodded solemnly. He knew things were all wrong right now and he knew better than to argue. "Are we gonna be okay Mr. Malik? Really okay?" He wasn't goign to lie, he was scared.

See? He was right...daddy always came through in these types of things. And it was nice to know his friend was going to be protected too. But he didn't fuss as he let his father armor him up. It was kind of neat...a little heavy and a little movement preventing because he wasn't used to it, but still neat. But a blink at Malik...stay in it all the time except for reverie? That wasn't too pleasing sounding now but if it was what daddy wanted to be safe then okay.
A solem nod though as they were given instructions should even worse things happen, before letting his eyes go to Broog. He trusted the ogre so there was no worries there...he knew Broog would keep them safe if need bed. Back to Malik as he spoke once more. "I understand daddy."
That would be absolutely adorable had the circumstances been different, her son all dressed in armor like his father to an extent did sometimes. Though with this particular situation looming over their heads...it was disturbing to see him like that...he was still just a baby. But she walked over to the three, ruffling each boys hair and turning her eyes to Malik, a moment of understanding as well as a gamut of things exchanged in the one glance...she knew it was better to be safe than sorry later. "Everything under control on your end?"
"Understandbale...I don't want him a room away from us either...not with all of this going on." Hm, he forsaw a lot of stress coming in the next few days. Of course we can always get a cot as well...you and him both roll and such." But inside with the both of them and they headed over to join Malik and Piper, Sevilin setting the bag on the table for the time being. "I have everything of importance, won't need to make another trip back." A raised eyebrow look to Malik's son though...well look at that.

"I'm not nearly as bad as Kariel though I doubt he'll sleep on a cot. He'lle nd up crawling in bed with us no matter what." Which meant no more sex, not that she was thikning she'd be getting any anyway. Things had changed so quickly hadn't they? In one morning she'd been uprooted from her home and moved back into Twilight, her magic stripped and a state of emergency more or less called. She followed Sevilin and glanced at Malikhai for a moment before looking over to her own son. "We need to get Zykariel fitted as well. Chainmail at the very least." She sighed and shook her head. "Everyone's rounded up and making moves towards getting rooms. I'm about to get inventory on your medical stores and the kitchen as well. With your permission, anything you don't have, we need to get. We need to be prepared for anything."

Moonstone wanted to go out and help the people that he knew were injured from the quake, but Delaney also needed help, and she was right there in front of him. He bent down, "Delaney?"
But no, she had fainted. He sighed a bit, slide his arms underneath the she-cat and lifted her. She was lighter than he expected. He brought her to one of the beds in the back, laid her gently on it. "When you wake up, I'll be around. Just come and find me if you're feeling well enough. I'll be comming to check on you every once in a while too."
Aella stood up, shattered pottery all around her. She didn't hang around to look for Meilikki, although she dearly wanted to. She turned tail and headed back out. Onyx and Tarathiel were outside, she had to find them.
A crevice had opened up almost right underneath Laudi's feet. Her fight with Onyx, which had favored neither of them for quite sometime though they both suffered from numerous wounds. A step back, a shake, and she had tumbled into the crevice. Her body slammed to a halt when the space between the two halfs became to little. Her spine was damaged, he lower half wouldn't work. She clawed and hissed like a caged animal, but to no avail.
Meilikki tried to stand on two feet, only to discover that one of her knees had been badly damaged by a shelf that had been knocked from the wall. Blood seped through her pristine dress and pettie coats. It was not long before the hired help in the manor was busy trying to clean up and restore order. The elves wing had been blissfuly untouched except for s afew broken things. The Oracle breathed a sigh of reliefe that none of them had been touched.
Her own chambers had been destroyed. The roof craved when one of the towering stalactites had broken loose and broken through. In the kitchen, her leg was bandaged and tended to. But instead of letting the hands repaire her room, she bade them go into the city and help restore there. That was more important than her bed.
For now, she sat in one of the drawing rooms, Deidrick at her side. The dog was distraught and severly depressed. He had not spoken a word since the quake, and Meilikki suspected that her companion was unable to speak at all right now. She massaged her temples, the headache that loomed there was terrible and unsettling.
"Deidrick. Go to the fortress, Twilight, and bring back Piper." The dog bowed his heads and left.
From the corner, a robed figure stepped out of the shadows. "I told you something would be happening soon."
"Ai, you did. And what is the extent?"
"The whole world."
"I must advise the king to bring his defneses to the boarders."
"The Armada would be infallible to you right now."
"Indeed. What has happened anyway, do you know?"
"The gods. They are gone."

"My own Dragon...?"
Having her own mount the size of a dragon.... ANY dragon.... would defenatly alter her stealth abilities... But then again... A dragon! Come on! What could be more freakin' awesome then having her very own dragon?
But then she remebered how... tempered... they can be.
And again, remebered the pile of dishes awaiting for her, this night, at the Tavern.
At that last thought, Kora stood Wide eyed a moment, grabbed Kalam's arm and pulled him off hurriedly.
"Okay, lets go!!!"
She figured that she'd rather a dragon then the dishes... and if the InnKeeper had a problem with this, he'd have to answer to her dragon.

the quake didn't bother him nearly so much...he'd been through them before. but once Laudi fell, Onyx gave one of those 'I know I'm going to regret this' snarls, and crawled down the side of the new rip in the earth after her. Nothing deserved to starve to death trapped like that.
"Relax a bit and let me help you up. I'm not letting the underdark kill you before I do."
not that it matter much. once he had her by one hand, he started back up, dragging her behind him. heavy wench. damn that honor thing.
"Already in the works. Tremor is making him chainmail and a polearm like his father. I've collected everything from broog that has magic in it. mostly leashes, collars and some jewelry. you can rifle through it and see if any of it would be useful. Breakers and gladiators are getting armor fitted, and they'll be sent out soon."
Malik's own armor and Malvolence were brought to him, and he got himself armored up and took Malvolence and looked at it carefully. then gripped the hilt and let it bite, trying to judge the pull on the power innate and the feeding and restoration of it.
"We'll need to assess any quake damage as well and get it cleaned up and repaired if need be. particularly to our outer defense."

"I'll be the one ending up in the cot no doubt." Not that he minded too much, damn rollers in bed knocking into you when all you wanted to do was lay still and get some rest. But he tolerated them. A look to Malik. "One step ahead, much appreciated." Walking over to his own son and picking the boy up, holding him a moment. Why did little things like them have to endure things like this?
"I'm sure I have a few of my things that will help with the magic situation. Vrist was big on enchanting everything they produced about ten times over with various different things. Some of the runic imbunements may still be present as well. And you know, we can work quake damage to our advantage in the outer defenses. If there's fractures in the walls of the tunnels, we could cave them in if it would prove to our benifit."
Piper touched a hand to Zahara's arm, gaining her attention. "Come on, they'll watch the boys. We need to go get started on your inventory." Not to mention she had a sense of overwhelming urgency with all of this. Obviously she expected that not too long after this all happened, that Meilikki would be getting in touch with her...which meant she needed to get some things done.

Kalam was being pulled along by Kora, and it seemed that suddenly their rolls had switched. Wait wait...who was dominate here? Kalam didn't have much time to think about who was wearing the pants in the as of yet plutonic relationship when the ground started shaking violently. Kora and him were tossed out of the stables and onto a street that was being torn apart ebfore their eyes.
Behind them the screams of horses and dragons as verious things feel on them or shook them in their stalls.
After several minutes of this tossing and frightening experaince, they earth settled. Kalam ooked at Kora, who had beena ble to stick to his side most of this time. "Hey, you okay?"
Laudi growled as she was pulled up out of the crevace. "I'd have rather died." Honestly, you tihnk she enjoyed being this lizardcreature when she was once so beautiful? Yeah, she could remember. Eating the finest foods in her estate at the Wizen Tower...and now she lived off the blood and meat of rodetns, and whatever that Malik decided to toss her way.
"Just do me a favor then, and kill me."
Deidrick did as he was told, making his way to Twilight and the lands thereof. Traveling was much more dangerous now than he had expected. Creatures of the underdark were wandering outside of their territories now that there was nothing holding them back. They were attacking the more populated areas. Deidreck had been sent to fetch Piper not only to be messenger of what was happening, but to protect the elf as well.
When Deidrick arrived outside the grounds, he sunk low ot the ground, nearly on his belly, his heads low and whining. He couldn't speak, thus he couldn't announce himself or make himself understood. He was in almost every sense now, just a dog.
