*Mystina listened, trying to figure out what the... trioxide gassious stratosphere meant, she understood the rest of it though*
So... it just burned up? *She tilted her head* It seems silly to have science, and things to fix it and opt... not to.
I'm glad to hear that some of your people have changed their ways, though. *She smiled and squeezed Kara's hand*
But... how do people not burn up if they go outside?

mmmMM... :::Kara raised her chin looking down at Mystina:::
That my dear is the war-time celebrity of our age... Those hundreds of years that humans stayed locked up in their metal cities, the leaders neglected to tell them that a fourth age in atmosphere had successfully evolved.
:::Kara glanced down at the berry:::
With the oceans and plant lifeforms gone, there was nothing left to support the distribution of the unnatrual but neccessary occurance of di-oxygens. Carbon-monoxide as well as the overwhelming presence of ultraviolet light and heat would destroy humans who would step out...
but in those hundreds of years, new micro-organisms evolved, kinds that survived solely on CO2. We call them sandaglea. In their carbondioxide respiration they left an O2 waste, and eventually trioxigens re-emerged as a result, but this time in the more appropriately colder and denser mesophere. The earth is still very scarred from the last time it scorched, but our desert planet is now just as capable of bearing life as when it was an ocean-based world.
Humans though... we're struggling to keep up... we still need water, and plants... We still depend on science that way. :::Kara looked sad for a moment, but then became stern again::: The people inside the metal city don't know. Their leaders are lying to them, keeping them to control them. Some of us have escaped, and we fight in order to keep ourselves free.

*Mystina blinked, she had heard some of these terms before, but she didn't understand one bit except for the latter parts* I... I have no idea what you just said, other than... something changed and made it so you could step outside again.
I don't think using science is bad, to help your people flourish in nature again. It's like how we use magic to help certain things work in our world.
*She tilted her head* I don't understand why their leaders would do such a thing... That's horrible. *She wrinkled her face*

Yes well, they have their dillusions... same as they think we do too. The reason we're still alive is that we could care less about controlling them. We're on the defensive, and we know the land. That, and they're out of resources. Either they can spend what they've got detsroying us and sacrifice themselves, or... they can just leave us alone. They don't like either option, but they're actually pretty smart when it comes down to it. They figured out their best chance is to stay out of it.

*Mystina tilted her head thinking* So, it's a stand off then?
When the people in charge die off, because it has to happen eventually, maybe the truth will come out. *She patted Kara's knee* Something has to give. Your people are doing good, so it has to come out right... They won't get away with lying to everyone forever.
*The Faerie honestly believed this, you could simply tell by the look on her face*

:::Kara shook her head:::
No, dear. The generations of leaders in Omegatropolis who'v lied for so long don't intend to give up the gig. They'll pass down the power to whomever they want. The thousands that survive inside the walls don't know that we even exist, that there's even a war going on. Only the leaders. If we were to be discovered by the public moral would break and chaos would ensue. They prefer to keep their comfort and their power... and pretend like our species isn't dying inside those walls just as much as it is out in our desert. At least humans are beginning to live again, and make the best of it.
:::She rolled the little berry between her fingers:::
We predict that humanity will run out of the things we need to survive on earth within the next couple hundred years so... why not party like it's 3399?

*Mystina nodded sadly* So... they choose a slow death, over life, and joy? ...I pity them. That's a very pathetic way to live.
*She nodded and smiled* Enjoy what you have, while you have it, because you never know when it will be taken from you. Faeries prefer to live that way too. You don't know when something will end, so you should enjoy it, and not mourn much once it is gone.

Yes, Mystina.
:::Kara stands up, the berry carefully tucked inside her palm, gently wrapped in a fist:::
And in that spirit, I think I should go and tell my people about the gift we've been given. :::She smiled, a bit sinisterly:::
Would you do me a favor, Mystina?

Good... good. If you walk into the library, you'll find two men, Luke and Dafyd. They're probably saying nasty things about me in between sucking each other off. Could you give them this message for me?
:::She leaned down and whispered it in Mystina's ear:::
Oh, and give Luke a BIG wet kiss from me before you say it.

Well that was the point. Hm... maybe just the second part then. Oh, and can you make a gesture with your hand, like this?
:::Kara flips up her middle finger:::
Luke will get it.... Of course, this is after both the kiss, and the message. If Luke asks what the kiss is for tell him...
:::She whispers again:::
Got it?

*Mystina was now very curious as to what this symbol could mean, she assumed it was some kind of pleasantry between humans* Alright, I'll do that. *She smiled*
And before you go, what is herpes wine? Is it a human delicacy drink?
