A fetish based around consuming or being consumed, primarily. Some like "Soft Vore" in which the individual being eaten is swallowed whole or more or less unharmed. "Hard Vore" is more for the blood and guts types, with chewing, and in a smaller, more extreme crowd, cannibal style art.

I can't speak for the Hard Vore crowd, but it just doesn't appeal to me, but as for myself, and many other Soft Vore fans I know, the aspect of death isn't really something you think about. I prefer it to be more of a fanatasy style, where the prey survives in one fashion or another. Some prefer digestion and a sort of "Final end" for the prey. Different strokes really, but I prefer non-fatal Soft Vore. Hope that helps. Maybe use Wiki or some other online info sources as well for other information.
