Farmer Abe Visionarium Well I figured that out by now. Also, what does foxgirl taste like? If you cut it into chunks and let it sit in a broth you can make a nice stew, with addition of hard vegetables like celery, carrots, onions etc. etc. Though if you cut it thin and sear the outside slightly you can make a nice fox girl tar tar, its to die for. Oh that sounds delicious. Why can't hanyou be real? I hunger for their flesh.

RL knowledge helps with RPing substantially. Terminology as well as having a sense for placing and mechanics.

Well, I mean we can dine of human flesh at any time, this is our only chance to dine on half-human flesh. Now only if we could develop a way to cross bread and pick and choose what animal is the non human half, I want to try half-human bacon.

Sir Clash As Sakaki thrust himself at the ground, Clash ducked low and attempted to smash his adversary with the short end of the stick before impact, shrugging his right shoulder in an attempt to aim a smash at his opponent's groin, hoping to cause enough pain to get Sakaki to release him and forget about sticking him with the sword. LOL

I actually try to avoid too much wrestling in fights because of my knowledge on it. I feel like it would be an unfair advantage to have my character put an opponent into a modified chicken-wing or crossface or some sort of rack/cradle maneuver when most people have no ******** clue how to get out of them.
Which was entirely the issue with people using submission grappling a few years ago where they'd just try to throw kimuras and gogoplatas on people and their opponent would just be like "Dude, what the ******** does that even MEAN?" because people wouldn't give an explanation.

I don't think it's an unfair advantage if you're using a balanced character capable of those kind of techniques. If anything I think it's not only a fair advantage, it's one of the most legitimate kinds you can have. A problem I see for a lot of fighters is that they'll have some kind of advanced skill (lets say sword fighting), and then they won't have the knowledge to role play the ability well. The result is they end up sucking, despite being written as being good. I think it's along the same lines as an actor doing heavy research for a role so that they can be good at it. In this case you are very well informed, and you have the right to reap the benefits of it.

Well, I mean, I don't completely forgo wrestling. Deitric's base fighting style is derivative, in its grappling elements, of freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, which are the two grappling arts that I'm most familiar with. I utilize shoots, body locks, lifts/suplexes and clinch techniques, but I purposefully avoid using or modifying more obscure (inasmuch as the casual observer is concerned) techniques such as the Tulsa Ride.
The main issue is that it's hard for somebody to respond to it if they don't understand it. Even if you describe it to them, it can still be difficult to put themselves in that position and understand what they can or can't do, which can be frustrating. Plus, as far as most fights are concerned, you never need more than the basics of shoot, spin, sprawl, escape, clinch, lock, and lift.
The advantage comes less from knowing more, and more from the enemy knowing less, if that makes sense. It puts them into a position that they don't really know anything about, so they can't do much. Which can be frustrating, and make for a really poor fight when one person is just like "Uh.. idk."

Thats why I would describe it to them... in excruciating detail. Tres will still pull out the wrestling and jujitsu some times. Though I don't usually do it to win. I do it because of this

Sorry, I'm at work, and while it's child's play to hide a window to check the ooc every couple minutes, it's a lot harder to get away with writing paragraphs with other people around when you're supposed to be doing other work. case in point: it took me an hour and a half to write the one i just posted.
