She nodded as she moved the cloth over his broad shoulders and around his neck. "Mmm, must be nice. Not to be so jaded and untrustworthy all the time. To look at even our dark world and see light." A shake of her head idly before she used the warm water to rid him of the soap suds clinging to his dark skin. "I wonder if I was ever like that. Or if it's possible for either of us to be like that again..." The cloth moved down to his stomach and she crouched down in front of him to scrub his skin clean. "I need you to move back so I can finish you up."

Malik grinned lightly for an apology and then groaned lightly nad leaned forward when she started on his shoulders. yes malik was always in a perma-tense state and massages felt oh so good.

"I'm starting to believe that a lot of things are possible these days. Watching Zykariel does shed a pleasant phosphorous glow on things doesn't it?" Well he himself was rather pleasant right now wasn't he? He could be when he wanted now couldn't he? Though he took the cloth from her with a chuckle and returned to his laid back on his elbows at the side again, flipping the rag onto the stone next to him. "Now now, you're supposed to be relaxing, not doing chores such as washing the dirt off of someone, so relax. Don't make me work you into a lucid state to acheive that."
Piper gave a giggle at him, she loved the particular power she had over him and hey it make him feel better as well now didn't it. "Better?" Giving him a smile even though he couldn't see it. "Slept at your desk did you?" Oh yes, she had heard the whole story from her father and such. "Why didn't you just grab a bed in another room...or better yet put something worth sleeping on in that study of yours like I keep suggesting."

and now he was laying down on the table, eyes closed. yep, felt oh so good. and nevermind who was watching right now either.

Malikhai was biting on his spoon, watching, and then he gave a giggle which he tried to stifle. Daddy was just so funny sometimes when mommy did that too him. "You're making daddy silly mommy." He was ever used to his parents affections to one another, it was a constant in his life and it had never really bothered him. And of course unknown to him they always kept the more unappropriate things out of his sight. But this was normal for him.
Piper gave her own giggle, looking to her son. "Yes, yes I am dear." having at this point having to change positions since he was conquering the table and thus forced her to move to keep closer and keep the motion up. Thus she was sitting on the arm of the chair he was in. Hm, was there anything she wanted right now that she could get while taking advantage of the situation? "Would make your life a lot easier." Though in normal teasing fashion, she lightened her touch some just because she could and it was fun to see him want it back.

waving his hand back in a feeble attempt to catch a thigh or something to smack. Malik enjoyed his backrubs, that was for sure. and he liked them a certain way and complained otherwise.

That got another high pitched peel of laugher from his son. That was just even funnier now wasn't it? Indeed it was and he tried to stifle himself with his spoon again but all of his soup was gone now and that spoon wasn't so fun anymore being just cold metal.
Piper herself laughed. Wasn't that just adorable? Very much so. His childish complaining and flailing had a certain charm to it at times...though in moderation. After all she really did have a child to do that sort of thing now didn't she? Maybe she'd have another...in ten or so years. "Oh so sorry, you like it like this right?" Putting back the pressure that she knew was right and made him stupid. Though half of her wanted to get Malikhai to walk on him just for the sheer laugh value. But this was an apology. "By the way, A'mael, I'm training in particularly dangerous situations that you wouldn't approve of...which means I suppose you can have the house back but you're still going to have to watch Malikhai...or he's going to have to follow me around all day and do his own work while I do my various things." It was nice to get confirmations this way...unless he wised up that is.

Malik was about as close to unconcious as one could get without actually being so, so he wasn't really in an arguing mood.
"Mmhmm. will do."
eyes closed, feeling just great, ears twitching just a little bit every now and again, totally relaxed and quite literally putty in his wife's hands. she coudl tell him the house was about to come crashing around his ears and the response she would get was 'mhmm' right now.

"Malikhai is there something you want to ask daddy that you didn't want to before? He's in a really good yes mood." Oh come on, how could she not let the kid in on this wonderful little thing?
That sounded like an invitation to get a yes on something he would normally get a no on. Oh the things that came to mind at that one! But if he could only pick one thing right now, what could it be? No, this wasn't the first time him and mommy got something they wanted this way when daddy usually said no. "Daddy, can I go down to your study with you?" Yeah that's what he wanted, the forbidden study.
She wasn't so sure about that one, and she knew Malik was going to say yes...but she could just think about it for a while...after all if Malik took him down there when it wasn't a cesspool of her husband's work, projects, and frustrations it was quite pleasant. But a little extra pressure just to make sure the child got the answer he wanted...and she liked it when Malik made arbitraty noises too. It wasn't fun being the loud one all the time.

waving his hand lightly at his son, feeling way to comfortable to fully process exactly what was being asked. just that he wanted to go somewhere with him. that wasn't a big deal now was it? nope. nice hands on his band and his shoulders. loved that feeling. and making noise and muttering in tier'dal like he normally did when she did that to him.

Noise of delight from him. That was just the grandest thing ever! And wait till he told Zykariel that he got to go someplace he normally didn't because his mommy did something neat. Hm, maybe Zykariel's mommy could do it too. Maybe it was a mommy thing. Who knew...but he was going to pass the information along.
Haha...it felt good to be completely in control sometimes, really really good. Not to mention this usually put him in quite the good mood for at least several hours. Leaning over him him nibbled on the point of one of his ears. "You're such a good husband and father, you know that Malik?" She was bad sometimes. But she tended to him a few more minutes before she sat back from him, her hands leaving him so he could get himself back together...that was always so fun.

She glanced at the cloth for a moment as it landed with a wet plop and raised an eyebrow at him. "Is that a threat Lord Inthara? Or a challenege?" Her eyes flashed briefly with both though her lips remained lifted in a small smirk. Was he threatening her? Yes, yes he was. It was a nice threat though, one she was tempted to make him carry out but if the child needed them it would do them no good to be getting into such poisitions and beginning things like that. "Usually it's me bullying everyone else to rest and relax. Nobody's ever ordered me to do it before..." She leaned back against the side of the tub and rested her arms along the smooth stone then leaned her head back. "Kind of nice..."

Hm, she looked all too happy at that comment of his didn't she? He didn't know how that made him feel exactly, but he let it slide off like water for the moment. Raising a hand he rubbed at the back of his neck before stretching some, rolling his shoulders back and then resting back on his elbows again, breathing in holding his breath a moment then breathing back out. Relaxing was good. And he was clean too, double points.
"Well...someone like you appreciates relaxing. That's the difference between you and your patients. Or at least the last three. Reasons we need to be up and moving, reasons why we can't be idle. I hate being idle...I think too much when I am." Watching the ceiling above, nothing particularly eye catching up there at all.

Ears got a playful little groan, with an mhmm before a few minutes passed, and the brain started to register there were no more hands on him at all..before he lazily lifted his head up and looked around some, noting his son, and then turning his head around and looking at his wife.
"you're evil."
a slight grin at her before getting himself up and stretching lightly.
"Alright..so what did you talk me into."

"I appreciate good health and when someone is not in such a state I force them to get that way. I hate being idle as much as anyone else, I get fidgety and feel the need to do something with my time but when you aren't whole and you can't take on the unexpected you need to be down, reclaiming good health." Her philosophy in a nutshell. you're either healthy and whole or you're on your way to getting that way. Nothing else. "Think about what exactly?" though she thought she already knew the answer.
