Warren nodded, looking around with a somber expression. "She was different when she died, then when you met her. She'd come to terms with something within herself. Now her soul rests with those she first loved."

He wrapped a hand around her shoulder, pulling her close. "Beautiful and terrifying." He agreed with her.

Lucky for the them, the front door had been blasted open by the outbust of ice, meaning Alaran had been inside when she died. The path had a thin sheet of ice over it, easily broken and walked past. "Roarke's ancestores had taken a trip to the surface when a planetary alignment cleared the gasses long enough for some things to grow. Samples were taken down here and preserved in a room of sunlight."

"You'd think it's beautiful, I imagine."

"I'm happy then. I'm happy that she is with them now, although I'm sad I couldn't meet her again."

She smiled at Warren, "Yes, and both just atributes for a dragon made of will power."

Eliot warmed a little, she loved history, and stories of anykind really. "I woul dlove to know what it looks liek one day, to see sky and all those marvelous things from folklore."

Eliot laughed a little. "I do hope so."

"See the surface world in all it's splender? At one time, it was an impossible goal. Countless people have tried to restore the surface."

"But what can you do, when every element works against you at every time? I't s aflowing, rolling contradiction up there. The elements push and ull at each other, creating an imbalance that produces that poisonous gas that eats away at everything from people, to animals, to magic, to gods. Nothing is same from it..."

Their feet echoed down the hall as they walked, the ice carryign the sound of their footsteps through the whle buildin. They came to the double doors that lead to the garden, the sanctuary. Would inside be destroyed? They'd see soon enough.

The clerk looked up at Delaney. "He is with a patient right now. If you have a seat, you can see him in," she looked at her clipboard. "I'd say in about half an hour."

It ended being more like an hour and tweny minutes before Delaney was escorted to one of the rooms inside. Moonstoen was there, washing blood off his hands in a sink. He'd just delivered a baby. He did not look around when Delaney entered. "Have a seat on the bench there, I'll be there in a moment. In the meant time, tell me what you think the problem is."

Eliot scrunched her forehead and put a finger to her lip. "Push and pull... condratictions... then that means that the surface just needs a counter balance... a happy medium... a neautralizer. But what do you use to neautralizw what you don't udnerstand?"

Eliot helped Warren to push the double doors when the reached them. They opened them and She took a moment to take her breath. Warren put a hand on Eliot's Shoulder and pointed inside.

Eliot gasped.

Delaney looked up at him in a bit of a surprise. "I wasn't actually here for medical help. Just needed something to do so I came here. Unless you consider not being able to stay in the same place for more than a an hour without getting annoyed or fidgity a medical problem."

She found herself starring at him without purposely doing so. It was probably because of the fact that this feline at wings and seemed a whole lot different than her and Rusty. He had a stronger built and was almost scary looking althought the glasses helped make him look friendlier. She smiled at herself for a second before speaking up again.

"I supposed I should let you work. A man like you must be pretty busy taking care of the sick and needy people of this town. I actually always found medicine facinating but with my slight healing abilities I usually don't need to know any medicinal practices to heal non fatal wounds."

Warren breathed in some of the fresh air. The trees and butterflies still thrived. Somehow, Alaran had managed to not destroy this place. Even better the heating and lighting spells were still as strong as ever.

"We Eliot. If you never do get to see the surface in all it's splender, here is a small piece of it. We can't stay too long though. We're here to collect some samples, then get out. Since Roarke hasn't been in here, the balance may have altered. We may be itnroducing toxins or deseases."

Moonstone looked over with a small noise of surprise. "Oh, it's you. I ues sthe next appouintment got cancled. I remeber sometihng about chiken pox. Must have been a kid with his mothers lipstick."

He waved a ahnd. "I have time to spare at the moment." A glance at his watch. "And my shift ends in half an hour. I don't have the energy to be here twenty four seven."

"So," he spread his hands. "What did you come to see me for? Not s freindly chat I presume, you don't seem the type for it."

Eloit took her hands down from her mouth abd breathed the air deep into her lungs. "It smells... wonderful here." She was so tempted to roll in the grass under he feet, climb the tall trees and drink for the cool stream that ran through. But she resisted, she couldn't bare it if she caused the unbalance of this place.

"What exactly do we need to collect?" asked after one last longing look at the grass.

Onyx just tore through the upturned cart, and dove at and into his opponent, tearing at anything in reach right now just to score a wound or two that might bleed. after all, then if she got away and he lost a scent she was still trackable.

"Oh, so sorry to disappoint someone who doesn't fight, but just dance around and then say I'm boring."

Delaney smiled. "You're good and you seem to notice how people are pretty quickly. That's definitly good." She stood up and tapped her robe a bit as a way to remove any dust or crumbs that could of been on the chair.

"I actually came here to talk to you about your heritage. I have to admit I was surprised when I heard another feline back in the days and once I finally found that cat I find out there's yet another one." She titled her head a bit with a look of awe in her eyes. "Except... you have wings and your built is different. So I guess instead of staying stuck in my fancy hotel room I decided to come here and ask you these questions that I decided to skip the last time we met."

Sevilin merely took what was handed to him and then shook his head lightly as more yelling commenced, easily letting his attention be drawn back to his child. "Right, we'll then let's make a trip home shall we? Then we'll come back for Zahara." Adding in that last part just so that the child wouldn't get upset and think he was purposefully trying to leave Zahara behind. How come he always got stuck with the grocies anyway? But before he even got a motion from his hand, she reappeared and looked none too happy.A blink at her. "Alright..." Reaching out a hand for her to take hold of before waiting for his son to latch to his person as was commom practice, a quick rune to the air, and they were back to thier own habitat in a blink of an eye.

Kieran was merely standing there, watching the little half tier'dal go about his little chores with the draithix....though of course he also had a journal out at this point and was doing his usual Kieran thing. But a look over his shoulder to Malik before turning slightly to him as he walked up. "Doing well, and nothing's tried to eat us yet."

Chores complete and daddy now within tackling range, he duely toddled his way out of the pen, making sure to close it, and latched to his father's pant leg. "That's okay, grandpa and mommy were there. And mommy and my teacher had a yelling match! But mommy won, because she crossed her arms like this, and then narrowed her eyes like this, and the shtalked shtrough sher steeth slike sthiss, and then teacher just narrowed her eyes and said fine." Of course doing every action that he told his father about, trying to mimic that mean look his mother threw around when she had to. Funny how he thought that just hte grandest thing in the world. To him it was kinda funny and the point was that he didn't get in trouble.

By this time, Piper and Isleandra had dragged themselves downstairs and to the spas, the two deciding to not take thier chances by aggrivating Zahara with anymore activity from them, and decided to merely relax and catch up on a few things as well as soak away thier various forms of discomfort.

Zahara was half furious and half running on adrenaline. She still had that high from being grabbed by Arthur but that was dying down. Rolling her shoulders she tossed her head defiantly and mumbled something under her breath even as they reappeared in her, yes she considered it hers, kitchen. She took a deep breath and glanced down to make sure Zykariel was with them then took a bag from Sevilin. "...thanks." Thus attention went to the child.

He was clutching the bag tightly, his father's hand held possessively against his chest to make sure he didn't move and they would all be translocated together. He knew the process well enough and he couldn't hold Daddy's hand this time because of the bag in his hands. "'Kay Mommy. Now we gotta do this quick before stuff goes bad."

The child dragged out one of the stools from the bar and crawled up, settling onto his knees before he realized his bag was on the floor still. Thus getting back down, setting his bag on the stool opposite him and climbing back up onto his. After the rather convoluted process he reached across, holding onto the end of the bar for leverage and moved the bag from the stool to the top of island. Then he went about unpacking it. "I don't have eggs in my bag. Where's the eggs?" He had milk, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and whipped cream.

She leaned agaisnt the island for a moment, hiding behind the bag, her palm pressd to her forehead. Get a grip, Zahara. "I have the eggs little one. They were in the heavy bag so I just left them there. Here, go put the milk and sugar away for me." Handing down ingredients, knowing her son was fully capable of getting them put away correctly. She glanced around and traced a finger over smooth marble. "Where's...my stuff?"

Okay so...at least someone in the room was a happy elf. Then again that child had every right to be happy didn't he? Zahara was pissed...he knew her too well to think she wasn't...and he was indifferent he guessed one could call it. But okay. Leaning against his hip on the island he crossed his arms lightly. "In my training room..you want me to put it all back in your room?" After all, he was practically no use in the kitchen now was he?

Malik watched his son with a small grin, before picking him up and nodding to Kieran.

"thanks for watching him. though I imagine you enjoyed adding a chapter or three into your journal about magical training methods and such for the drow."
PostPosted: Fri Feb 02, 2007 6:43 pm

Kieran snapped his journal closed with one hand and tucked it into his surcoat with a chuckle. "Don't I always enjoy these sorts of things?" See, despite the funny hair he could make a good time out of this with no problems indeed. "And he's quite good for his age as well...not to mention it's always humorous to see Piper go toe to toe with a Tier'dal and win." Another chuckle on that note.

He gave a giggle before settling and clutching to father as he was picked up and held. Oh he was so good at this mimicking stuff he never had to repeat himself now did he? Nope. "Feelin' better daddy?"

"If you wish. Frankly at this point in time I don't really care. I have no use for any of it just now but when I do it will probably be better if its where I need it to be." She shoved her hands through her hair and sighed in frustration. Her anger had been turned down to a simmer now and she knew in a few more hours it would be all gone. For now though she began yanking things out and shoving them into cabinets. Self-righteous surface elves, she ought to blast them out of this plane!

Zykariel put away the ingredients and then came to stand by his father watching his mother as she went about putting away the rest of the stuff, slamming cabinets and pacing angrily. "Daddy?" Tug. "Why's Mommy upset?"
