Arthur nodded a little and chuckled. "That drow and her amber, I use to wear an amber necklace once...I think it's still in my dresser drawer somewhere at my house." The elf smiled a little and shook his head before looked at Isle again and nodded lightly. "Right, when we go to Fharian, alright then." Him and his dumb errors when speaking, Arthur had to wonder sometimes if anyone understood him at all. "Well I'm glad you feel good then, it's not as bad as staying in your room and be actually worried of what would happen if you moved one muscle." He was glad the elf was okay, Malik didn't take it lightly on her so at least she was better off than what Arthur would be when he fought the drow.

Isle gave a giggle. "She probably took it from you, those crafty drow you know." Giving another sigh and settling down once more. "Oh I wouldn't have to worry, after all I would test the theory eventually. Though I would say that laying in bed naked wouldn't be too bad either considering the effort it takes to dress oneself with no help when one is as I am." Another chuckle at that. Amazing that she had such humor for being the one who was all banged up. "Though I may not be able to take you everywhere with me when we go to Andal. A girl has to have her time to do her own things too you know."

He smiled and laughed a little bit before shaking his head. "I know Zahara liked my necklace a bit but she didn't steal it, I would of founded out anyway. Maybe Nym took it, now he's crafty." A grin to that before he looked at the elf with a raised eyebrow before he laughed a little bit. "Yeah I figured much...but then again you always have me to come along and dress you." He had to grin to that, dressing her today was kind of funny and he didn't care if he had to do it again for her. Though he had to make a 'tsk' noise and sigh in sadness when she told him that she may not take him everywhere. "But I would like to spend my time exploring Andal with you, you're a lot of fun to be with Isle...but if I have not choice but to be paired off with someone else then fine so be it." Well that was a little upsetting but he would have to deal with it if the time comes.

She shook her head lightly. "You'll have your exploring time. But then there are times that Isleandra needs to do Isleandra things...besides, you'll be training and learning to walk and not bump into things all over again after you have your eye fixed, you'll be plenty busy now won't you?" This would be the part where she would reach over and pat him on the chest or arm if she wasn't in pain and unwilling to move that is.

Arthur was silent when Isle spoke and he listened as his eye was trained to look above, after a bit he nodded lightly and looked to her and smiled a tiny bit. "Alright then, since you put it that way then that's okay; besides your right I'm going to have my fair share of fun learning how to walk again because of my new eye." Yeah he was going to have fun with that, thank the gods Malik and Sevilin wont be around to see him struggles, but he had a feeling a little bird named Kieran would gladly tell everyone all about it. "Man it's such a good day to go sailing..." He muttered and smiled a little as he closed his eye, letting the sound of the water fill his ears.

She kept quiet. After all, she had her own opinion on what a good day for sailing was and this was not it by a longshot. It was too quiet for her really, at least for it to be daylight on the sea. Then again in Andal even night on the seas wasn't completely quiet aside from the waves. No she could think better of this, but she wasn't going to say that, merely lay there in that hammock feeling it rock back and forth gently. At least that part was nice.

Malik now was on the floor, spread out and facing the cieling, completely zonked out still.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 30, 2007 6:32 pm

Oh that was funny. No really it was...he wouldn't think it was funny but she did. Having left Malikhai with Kieran she had intended to go check on Malik whom had gotten from a chair to the floor and...it was just funny. Piper hid a chuckle behind he hand as she stood there, her little battle ragged self looking down at him. Had she felt something was amiss with him she'd be worried, but everything currently felt fine from his end. "Being out of your own bed and away from me that taxing on you hm?" Not that he would answer, but she would still muse. Shaking her head lightly Piper crouched down and grasped his shoulders, pushing him up to be sitting up and rousing him just enough in his trance to get him at least able to stand and then walk as she pulled his arm over her shoulders and proceeded to lead him upstairs and to thier room, and then into bed, letting him slip back into his reveries. "You're just too much sometimes Malik D'vinn." Well...at least he would be comfortable now. Another shake of her head before she turned from him and took to pulling off her surcoat and the chainmail laid overtop her tunic. Oh gods her shoulder. Throwing both articles of attire over the back of the desk chair she rolled her shoulder and walked back over to Malik, dropping a kiss on his lips. "I'll make this up to you later...you know how to get me if you need me." It was so nice that others were aware of thier surroundings when in reverie. Thus she proceeded out the room and back to the main floor, intending to hit downstairs again and find a cleric to get something for her shoulder.

He and the boy had managed thier way outside by this point, Kieran perched on a rocky outcropping with Malikhai in his lap, and the little study book that had been fetched by a serf held in one hand, the boy holding the other side as Kieran basically helped the boy study up some on what he was supposed to know and by the agreement Piper and his teacher had come too. He had to admit that Piper of his was a brave girl...not scared to get up in a drow or more pointedly a tier'dal's face. It was impressive. Though why he was helping the boy study he was also going through plans in his head. Hm...would Lateef be horribly upset if he didn't send a letter on what was about to happen before it happened?

Sevilin had stayed downstairs with Zykariel to keep his mind off of Zahara for the moment and indulge the boy in a little more training of his magic control and measuring. Practice made perfect after all and the boy was eager to learn anyway. It worked well. It was times like these that Sevilin did realize that he enjoyed teaching, and without it or any work to be done with Malik he was quite bored. Though he didn't have much free time these days, seeing as he had a child to constantly watch. Not that that was a bad thing."

Lharika was quite the inquisitive child so Zahara had been explaining different things to her, giving impromptu lessons really in the art of potions and such. She was a bright child, which was to be expected and seemed quite eager to learn so Zahara was more than willing to teach. Each ingredient had been separately jarred or bundled and she'd given a brief explanation as to what each did so that the child would have a basic knowledge. Not that that particular knowledge would really help her in Andal since the majority of the ingredients were native to the Underdark but it never hurt. She glanced up and caught sight of Piper, her eyes narrowing as she came around the island and caught Piper's arm, glancing over her body. "Tell me you didn't do what I know you did. Gods be damned Piper, are you insane?!"

Zykariel was sitting in the dirt maintaining that little bit of magic that Daddy had taught him to use and he grinned up at his father for a moment. "This is really all I gotta do, right? Just keep it sitting here for as long as I want it and I'll never feel icky as long as I only use a little bit and pull it back in when I feel it using too much." That was a novel concept wasn't it? He could sit there all day long with that magic flitting between his fingers and since he was only maintaining the same amount, it would never hurt him. How exciting!

Lharika shifted on the stool that Zahara had pulled over for her and glanced around the kitchen at the serfs. They were being quite accomodating actually considering the drow had more or less taken over their kitchen. But then there wasn't a whole lot going on currently so she supposed it was alright. They certainly weren't casting any dirty looks her way. Her gaze traveled over to Piper and she winced. Her sister didn't look so good.

Oh look she'd been caught. She had terrible luck sometimes and Zahara didn't seem too happy at all now did she? Nope. Suck it up and take the verbal beating Piper. She blinked at her friend and sister a moment and then pointed to her own head. "I avoided head injuries...you said I could go train. I was careful." Though somehow she had the feeling her excuses weren't going to be up to par for Zahara's liking.

Sevilin nodded. "Yes indeed, you've got it." It was nice to see his son grasping the concept and enjoying it though. "I'm sure Zahara would be proud of you too, after all with things under control you won't break anymore of her glasses." Giving the boy a bit of encouragement on Zahara's part and also a pat on the head to tell him that no one was mad at him for earlier history in breaking dishes.

Zahara tamped down her anger for a moment and stepped back to look over Piper, keeping in mind the fairness of her skin and subtracting about half of her actual bruising. It still painted a nasty picture. "You have a lot more marks on you than I anticipated for a session of training Piper. You look like two drow went after you and ignored your condition entirely. And why are you favoring your left arm?" Nope, Zahara was cutting her no slack at all though she was desperately trying to keep from screaming at her like she dearly wanted to do.

He nodded happily but when his father mentioned Zahara instead of grinning, his smile faded and he returned to the sullen look of earlier. He sucked his magic back inside himself, rolled up that ball and started playing in the dirt.

Eventually they headed back to shore, after what seemed like a silence of sort had settled over them both...Galesen had been quiet for a long long time and eventually she opened her mouth and suggested that they head back to the fortress...and then she pulled the tough girl act and insisted on walking herself...okay so it was more like clinging to the walls and dragging herself but it worked. Besides, after suggesting Galesen go check on his clothes or pack, she managed him away from herself.

She didn't think herself too banged up. "Wow, you're good...it was two tier'dal with no regard to previous conditions." It was kind of funny. But she turned her attention to her left side. "Ever since Kaden my shoulder's never been right...it healed right and everything it just...after a while it starts hurting and giving out on me. Maybe he did more than we thought." Though her tone had lowered at he mention of Kaden...she still didn't like to talk about it at all. Piper knew that no amount of sympathy would be passed her way...or at least it wasn't likely. A shake of her head, "I have to train Zahara...."

Sevilin stared at his son a moment...and then did a very un-Sevilin-like thing...joining his son in the dirt that he always waged war against. "What's wrong?" Actually letting his fingers play in the dirt as his son's did...gods he was going to have to scrub his hands raw to get it all off and out from under his nails. Though his son was more important than his need to be clean.

That was about the worst thing Piper could have said. Zahara's eyes narrowed and fairly glittered with her anger. "I am, am I?" Her arms crossed and her boot began tapping. "I know you have to train Piper. I understand that and I allowed that. I did not however allow you to train with two drow who don't give a thought to any previous injuries," she said tightly. "I assumed you would be fighting your father, Malik, or a mindless minion that Malik had somehow managed to make dance and swing a blade. Not two drow!" She took a deep breath and then shook her head. "Sometimes I think you give no thought to the amount of work I put into to keep your asses alive and healthy! Do you think it's easy for me to browbeat and bully you to keep you in bed? Do you think I like doing it? Do you think I like the irritated glances and mumbling under your breath or crying to Malik that you do? No. I don't. But I do it to keep you alive and then you take yourself down to the arena and challenge two drow!" Then she heard the front door opening and she walked to the hall to glance down and her rage upped a notch. "Isleandra Rainsong! Where in the hell have you been?"

Zykariel kept his head down and smashed down the pile of dirt that he'd just built up. "Nothing," he mumbled but the dirt darkened slightly at the introduction of moisture. Horrified, Zykariel swiped his hand across his eyes, trying to get rid of his tears before Daddy noticed.

Piper felt like she had been slapped in the face...really really hard. "I did go at my father for while...it's hard to train with those you're bonded too, and I need to have an actual training session with ones no afraid to go at me, when I'm out there doing whatever the hell I'm doing, no one is going to go easy on me." But again the slapped feeling again...she was good at making one feel guilty. "They know better than to seriously injure me..." BUt it seemed Zahara was picking more than one fight today.

Isle almost fell down at the shrill voice that called her name and she turned her eyes up to see Zahara. Oh wow, she looked pissed. "Um...I've been out sailing? Well...Galsen did the sailing, I laid around in a hammock and enjoyed myself and such."

He shifted uncomfortably in the dirt...oh he could imagine it getting into the fibers of his clothing. But then again he also saw his son starting to go down the path of tears. Brushing his hands together to knock dirt off he reached over and took his son's little face in his hands, tilting his head to make him look up into his own eyes and he looked down into watery purple ones. "You can tell me, you know that. Come on now, what's wrong my son?"

"You did what?! Sailing with Galesen." She laughed though it was more bitter than sincere. "You went sailing, Piper went fighting, let's just have Sevilin runing down the Underdark and it will all be peachy!" Zahara swung back. Did they not even realize what they could have done to themselves?! "Piper, I don't care if they took it easy on you, which it doesn't look like they did, or not. The fact of the matter remains that this is your first day off bedrest and you went and fought the worst opponents you could! I understand you need to train but you do not need to be putting yourself in danger when I just finished healing you." Talk about not feeling appreciated. "You wonder why I keep you on bedrest? This is why! This is exactly why and I knew better than to clear you. I should have made you take it easy for a few more days but I thought I had gotten through to you when I banned Malik from your bed how serious this actually is!" Then back to Isle. "And you! What possessed you to go sailing and Galesen to let you?" She was going to murder a bevy of surface elves in about five minutes. Line them all up and just blast them into the next plane!

Lharika shifted uncomfortably on her stool. This wasn't fun anymore. "I'm sure they didn't mean any harm Zahara..." she said softly. "They just wanted to get back into their normal activities..."

Zykariel closed his eyes for a moment which allowed two droplets to release and track their way down his cheeks. "I wanted her to be mine. I never knew sharing could be so hard..."
