"I thought the same thing about your dad before we started dating." She turned the stove down to low because it was pretty much done, but she didn't want to over cook the veggies.

Mari could only laugh and got some bowls out of the cupboard. "Come on. You're setting the table tonight." Soon enough Garreth walked into the house and shouted in before going up to his room. "I'm home!" He didn't like having to be in the uniform for school any longer than he had to and was always quick to change when he got home. "Good. You're in time for dinner for once."

"I'm glad you think so." She took the lid off the kettle and figured everyone could come and fill up their own bowls. She went to the fridge and got out some bread and butter and also figured that they would get their own drinks. She sat the bread and butter on the table and Garreth came down the steps dressed in pajamas. If he wasn't in uniform, he usually looked like a bum. "Can someone go get Cyan and tell him that dinner is ready?"

Cyan lifted his goggles up and rested them on his head. He gave a sigh and put down his things and went to take off his work gloves. "Okay."

Cyan came upstairs and walked into the kitchen, washing his hands before getting himself a bowl of soup and sat down. Garreth had already gotten his food and was eating. He looked over at Cyan to say hi, but the only words that left his mouth were, "Damn... What happened to you?" Cyan looked up and then looked back down starting to eat. "Dodgeball." It was going to be his answer all night whether it was the truth or not and Mari just gave a small frown and ate her soup. "Whoever threw it must have a good arm. They got you good." Cyan just gave a bit of a glare, but not at anyone in particular. Mari spoke up and looked at him. "I could try to do a bit of healing on it to get the bruising cleared a bit. Probably won't do much help since you waited so long." Cyan shook his head in a no manner as if saying he didn't want to even try.

"It was fine. Had a student council meeting after school. Figuring out what was going to be the theme and all that for the dance." He leaned over his bowl so he wouldn't drip any broth anywhere and blew on the spoon to cool the food before eating it. Cyan stayed quiet during dinner and just ate as Mari listened to the two talk.

"Me and Tilius barely think of anything. It's Retta and Nis who do most of the planning for it." The three people he mentioned were the others that held posistions in student council. The latter two were girls and Tilius was one of Garreth's friends that he often hung out with in Angelicus. He even brought the boy around the house sometimes. Mari and Smash both knew who he was and only knew the two girls from Garreth telling them about school. Mari nodded and looked up at him. "Figures that the two girls would be taking charge when it comes to a dance, huh."

Garreth gave a small laugh and figured that he was the only one who actually tried to do good in school. Mari continued to eat her soup and soon enough Cyan finished his bowl. He sat there, though, instead of usually getting up and leaving.
