(Metal already crashed through the ceiling before Shadow tried reaching to Jewel... o____O )

Shadow fell to the top of the roof of the hideout, "J-Jewel...." He whispered, his eyes getting heavy. "J--....ewel......" His eyes were shut as he takes a heavy sigh.

Sonic suddenly disappeared and Metal somehow seemed to have one of his limbs yanked out. A black, navy-blue streak of light passes by Metal very quickly, ripping out another one of Metal's limbs. "I've had enough!" Sonic's voice echoed and smashed through Metal's body, causing the robot to explode. Sonic was carrying Jewel in his arms as he lands on the roof of the hideout. He stood, growling at each breath he takes.

Sonic placed Jewel on the ground then he flew up and smashed downward towards Eggman's vehicle, "You're going to pay!" He shouted, his eyes showing of murderous intent.

"Now now Sonic, remember what we talked about when you were in that state previously." Eggman spoke, trying to reason with the extremely angered hedgehog.

"You're going to regret what you did to all of these innocent people!" Sonic snarled as he grabbed onto the vehicle and began tearing it apart.

As for Shadow, he still lays on the rooftop of the hideout. His eyes beginning to dilate. The collar on his neck had shut itself down.
Join me Shadow and you will be invincible!
A voice spoke in his head.
No Shadow! We need you!
Another voice spoke.

*flashback*

"What a pathetic of a hedgehog! Look at that image! You're willing to join them?! I rule this planet now and if you join me, you will rule over all! You will have all the power you want here." Eggman spoke to Shadow with a grin.

"Shadow please... you're our only hope."

"Eggman isn't going to promise anything but lies, Shadow!"

"Shadow! Don't listen to Eggman!"

"Shadow! If you join Eggman, there's no turning back!"

Shadow stood staring at Sonic and the group and constantly looking back a Eggman as well. He stood there confused and trying to figure out what to do. It's power vs lack of power but in the end, he sided with Eggman.

"Good Shadow... Now... get rid of these pests... Show them who their ruler is!"

Shadow glared at Sonic and the group and shot Chaos Spear at them but there were hesitation and grief in Shadow eyes but it was already too late to stop.

I betrayed them...., Shadow thought to himself, The ones who watched over me during my hardships.... and I let them down... He winced from the sharp pain, I...I'm finally getting what I deserve... my power... taken away from me from those I hurt... and now... I'm here... a weakling... left to die... I... must accept this fate... A tear falls from Shadow's left eye, There's.... no turning.... back... Shadow lays on the ground, lifelessly.

Eggman jumped out of his vehicle and chuckled, "Heheh..." He pulled out a device and pressed a button. Sonic then shouted, covering his ears with his hands, hearing a very high pitched noise that only beings with Chaos energy can hear. As well as Shadow, who barely can move.

Eggman grinned, "My ultimate device can control you, Sonic... soon you will be mine to control."

Eggman growled, "I'll pay yo for that!" He shouted at Jewel, "Sonic, show her what I mean..." He grinned again. Dark Sonic looked over at Jewel and began charging at Jewel, flying at high speed.

Suddenly Dark Sonic was stopped by someone. He was being stopped by Shadow, who has his hands locked onto Sonic's. Shadow struggles to push Sonic back but he is too weak to even move. Somehow Shadow is able to intercept with Dark Sonic. The black hedgehog looked back at Jewel, "G-Get out... of here...." He winced as he keeps struggling.

"JUST GO!" Shadow shouted but then was punched by Sonic, sending him flying back a bit far. Shadow tumbled and passed out.

Sonic grabbed the pipe and yanked it out of Jewel's hand.

Out of no where, smoke appeared out of nowhere and Tails suddenly grabbed Jewel, "Jewel! Come on!"

"We can't go back for them. Sonic's gone out of control!" Tails said, flying away, "We need to escape from here!" He said, holding Jewel's hand.
