Kai curled up on her side, holding her stomach and keeping her eyes closed. She'd been feeling fine until she'd gotten out of the water. The first thing that she thought of was that morning sickness should be in the morning, but she forced that out of her mind. She had no way of knowing if this was...well, that.

Hakaru stayed by her side, vowing to watch her all night. And he did just that. He stayed up all night watching over Kai, forcing himself to stay awake.
He was jsut about a zombie when it was morning. The light hurt his eyes, making him get up and close the curtains. He then returned to Kai's side, hoping she'd be alright this morning. Maybe then he could sleep. but until then, he would not let himself sleep.

Kai hadn't slept much better than Hakaru, though she hadn't been conscious enough to yell at him to go to bed. When she could finally fully wake up, she blinked up at her zombie of a fiancee, narrowed her eyes and opened her mouth to chastise him, then she changed her mind, leaned over the side, and threw up into the bucket. "Maybe we should go back to the castle," she said softly.

Hakaru watched her be sick once more and nodded some, moving to her side and stroking her hair tiredly. He was about ready to just pass out beside her. "A carriage should be here soon. Our vacation's up anyways." he mumbled, his words slurring slightly. He leaned over from his chair and onto the bed, almost immediately asleep.

Kai sat up, worried by Hakaru's behavior, but that just caused her to have to be sick again. With a grimace, she looked back to her fiancee, and realized he was just exhausted. She rubbed her eyes and slowly got out of bed, to not make herself sick again. She pulled out some decent clothes and slipped them on, then draped a shirt over Hakaru's shoulders so that she could get him into it when the carriage got there. Slowly, she managed to pack up most of their things before the carriage got there and she gently started shaking Hakaru's shoulder.

Halaru groaned softly, feeling himself being shaken. He had been sleeping so good... But non the less he woke up to see Kai up and about, and a shirt around his shoulders. "Kai, you shouldn't be up." he said, trying to hide how tired he still was. The prince got to his feet, a bit wobbly, but he grabbed the bags and got the driver to help them pack. Once all the bags were there, he helped Kai in before getting in and laying on the floor, going to sleep.

Kai slumped against the wall of the carriage, her feet in the seat so that Hakaru could sleep well. She was starting to fall asleep herself as the carriage pulled up to the castle.
Demetri had been up for a little bit, and when he saw the carriage pull up, he headed downstairs. He wanted to see how the proposal went. However, he was quite surprised to find his son and the mermaid both looked sick as dogs. Quickly, he called to a student who was passing by. The student helped him get Kai and Hakaru to the medical wing, which had been built a few years ago. Then, the wizard went in pursuit of his wife, and Anya.

Hakaru was very sick, but he was glad he was able to sleep in the medical ward. In a nice comfy bed.
Lunora had just finished a class, wiping some sweat from her forehead. She was jsut coming inside to the cool hall when she ran right into her husband. "Hello there. What's the rush?"

Demetri grabbed Lunora's wrist and started heading down the stairs of the castle, headed towards the medical wing. "Hakaru and Kai got back. Hakaru was passed out in the carriage and Kai looked like she was going to puke the whole time." As they arrived, Demetri saw that Anya was already there, pretty much force feeding soup to Kai. The curtains had been drawn around Hakaru's bed so that he could sleep undisturbed.

Lunora was practically dragged to the medical wing by her husband. That was one of the first times that he had been so forceful. She caught up to his pace and finally looked around. She immediately went to her son, wanting to see if he was alright.
Hakaru was asleep in the bed, the curtains making it darker so he could sleep. He didn't even stir when his mother came to see him and even kissed his forehead.
Lunora sighed some, leaving her son to sleep after giving his forehead a comforting kiss. She then went to the mermaid, wanting to know if she was alright as well. "What happened Kai?"

Demetri watched as Lunora went to their son. He watched Hakaru for a few more moments after his wife left, then followed her to the mermaid's bed.
Anya frowned as Kai started to speak, putting her mouth over the mermaid's mouth and forcing more soup down her throat. "Hakaru is just exhausted. There's nothing else wrong with him. He just needs some rest and some food when he gets up."

Lunora nodded some to Anya's explanation. "I think I'll stay with him." she said, going back behind the curtains to be with her son. He seemed just so tired.
Hakaru remained in his bed, sleeping away. He was very tired from keeping himself up all night to watch over Kai. He hoped she'd be alright, but only a glimpsing thought through the copious amount of delusional dreams he was having.

Demetri looked over as Lunora went to sit by their son. He looked back to the faerie and then the mermaid. "Alright, so that's what's wrong with my son. What about you, Kai?" he asked, though the question was more directed towards Anya, knowing the faerie wouldn't let Kai answer for herself. It was at that moment that Kai was suddenly nauseous again. Anya immediately grabbed a bowl specifically used for patients who were sick, and shoved it into Kai's hands just as the mermaid threw up. The faerie carefully took the bowl away, having one of the intern healers take it to be cleaned. "That would be morning sickness."

Lunora opened the curtain some. "Morning sickness? You sure? Seems a bit severe..." the fox said, looking back to her son who was mumbling in his sleep. She was quick to be at his side and soothe him back into a comfortable sleep.

Kai looked up at Anya, as if waiting for the faerie's answer to Lunora's question. Since she had food in her stomach now, she threw up again, into a fresh bowl that was magically in her hands right when she needed it. Again, Anya took the bowl away, setting it down on a nearby counter and grabbing another one for Kai. "I'm pretty sure. There might be something else, too, but she's definitely pregnant," she told Lunora. The faerie put a hand on Kai's forehead and frowned. She turned and reached for a drawer, pulling out a thermometer. "Try not to vomit," she said softly, putting the thermometer in Kai's mouth. After a minute or so, she pulled it out, and the mermaid immediately gave in her resistance against her gag reflex. "And that would be a fever." [OOC:] I'm winging it, by the way. Feel free to jump in with something at any time sweatdrop
