Mari got up from the table and was smiling. She went over to the stove and took the lid off of the kettle to put the vegetables in and stir it a bit. "If you like him, you should try to be less distant. But, don't go stalkerish. That's always a turn-off."

Mari took another taste of the broth and decided it needed a bit more salt and put it in, then stirring. "You have any questions?"

"Do you want to taste and see if it needs anything?" Mari stirred it a bit more and held the spoon up while looking at her.

she sniffed the air and analized the food she was making. she closed her eyes as she did this. "maybe thorw in a bit of pepper."

Mari put in a bit of pepper, but not too much considering she wasn't big on making things too spicey. She figured if it needed anymore, then they could add what they wanted to their own bowls.

She gave a glare to her, but was grinning. "I'm glad that my daughter can teach me how to cook." She was being sarcastic and took another taste of the broth before stirring it once more and putting the lid on the kettle.

Mari kept ahold of her daughter and kissed her on the cheek before letting go. She then whispered something that she knew would tick her off. "Don't bring me any grandkids home until you're at least 23."
