...hooked....on....word... bump!
Hehe, Talon's a guy. blaugh
Interesting reading Birdsong. I'd read about that before somewhere. Didn't it used to have another medical term? Has the term changed? I can't remember - I think I read about it in college. My understanding was that the majority of the girls identified as female. I always think of this as a part of the female spectrum.

I identify girl, also. The general condition is called 'intersex' though some prefer ' hermaphrodite' (which I do) I don't know if AIS had anothe term.. I will have to look that up. There are many conditions, some being rarer than others. PS. Hi Lyx biggrin I'm popping on and off for a bit , reading , watching news, and so forth. How's your day? EDIT: oh yeah I know Talon ! But he isn't on TODAY ! garrr heart

I'm back.
@ttig It's not entirely impossible for a guy to have those qualities. My hubby is very nurturing. He is absolutely my best friend.
Still, I think the way our brains are made makes a diff. Science: women have more conductors between the halves of our brains. That makes it easier for us to think associatively. Men think more linearly as a result of this difference.
Are KC and Sryne gone for good, or on vacation? And whatever happened to Duntada? or his "arch-nemesis" Shrimp Man?
to all;
My sister-in-law, the4bodingdawn, has joined the guild. She's very cool also, you'll like her. She's at a Gaia prom tonight with her daughter, who goes by Moonrabitt.

Awesome the4bodingdawn! if you see this I am saying HI to you!!
biggrin
PS I think Sryne has gone to on active duty for sometime, I forget all the details. KC , last I heard, was trying to get his account back or something. Is that right?
As for the other 2 ..I don't know at all stressed
@DG I think diversity plays a role here ,also. Men can build bridges between those hemispheric halves by learnign to think associatively. Plus, since girls tend to be socialized in associative ways at an early age it is difficult to seperate exactly how much of this is due to nurture and how much is du eto nature.
Why are so many gay men able to think in associative ways so effectively, for example. Furthermore, I know quite a few women that think extremely linear (they are in technical fields) and wont think associatively to save their lives.
Oh, PS. I'm very 'assertive' when is comes to my opnions but I hope I don;t give off any impressins of inflexibility gonk

@ Birdsong;
No need to apologize for stating what you believe. I'm pretty strong in my opinions, too. Like you, however, I'm not rigid. If someone can show me where I'm mistaken, I'm willing to listen. I'd rather learn than be pig-headed.
Yes, diversity, I agree. Wouldn't want all ppl to be the same. I don't mean that all women are one way and all men another. (ttig, if you're still here, see? Birdsong agrees that all men are not alike) And it's not only the gay men who can think associatively. I think every philosopher, every artist, and every inventor has had to come up with creative ideas by synthesizing things that are not alike. But I have read that women have more cross-membrane synapses between the hemispheres in their brains.
Oh, and don't you just squirm when people say they're in favor of "diversity" and all they mean is different skin colors? You can have all flavors of ethnicity, but you need people who think differently than you to be able to really learn.

It also makes people squirm when they have to learn hee.hee. "If you aint squirming you aint learnin' " Oh, and thanks. I guess I'm just used to people going off on me in chat for saying something. (or ignoring my comments like they normally do in the forums) That's the great thing about private guilds like this. Has anyone else had problems being heard over the crowd in general and extended?

I think it's just you and me here now Birdsong. ttig must be off playing Word Bump again. Haven't seen Bestmom tonight either. Unusual. Hope she's okay and having fun. Wait, was she supposed to have dinner with her neighbor tonight? Ooooh, if so, we'll have to pump her about it.
BTW, tomorrow I'll be out visiting the in-laws again, so may not be online much.
AND, h_e_a_r_t from the puzzle thread says that X says I'm close. Which is good in a way, but then I sent his mule a PM with like all three of my main "channels" of thought, so I'm not sure it helps much.

If you're looking for a laugh, we have a funny comedy show in Canada called "This Hour Has 22 Minutes". Most of it is of no interest to anyone outside the country, as it spoofs local types, like politicians and sports figures, and some of our humour is a little, erm, regional. But you would like the Computer Corner sketch, as it addresses the importance of using clear chatspeak abbreviations. http://www.cbc.ca/22minutes/video.htmlLol, have fun. gtg. c u L8er! Oh, p.s. this page needs ActiveX, and works in IE with Windows Media Player or Quicktime.
