Grey Gardens Us Canadians have already had Thanksgiving {early October}. I just don't understand why you silly Americans have yours in November so close to Christmas. You silly Americans razz -- Sorry I haven't posted a lot, I've been busy with all the homework my teacher is giving me. But, lately we've been working on 'careers' and we've been doing little quizes and tests to see what kind of person I am and what I would be good at and she thinks I should be some sort of travel agent or I could even go to Europe and be a tour guide for buses and things like that! She also gave me a website yesterday where I can find schools all over the world to learn about becoming a travel agent and things like that and she said there are a lot of choices of going to Europe to go to school. Which I would LOVE! I have cousins over in Ireland and, god this would be great if I could ever get the chance to go over there. -- Hope you guys enjoy your Thanksgiving{s} when they come around!!! I like having Thanksgiving in November. October is for Haloween and we can't have two holidays in one month. January is New Years, February is Valentines, March is St. Patricks, April is Easter, May..... Well.... Spring arrives. June.... Summer I guess. July has both the 4th and the 24th but only us Utahns celebrate the 24th. August.... I don't know really. September is the Harvest month and I love it this time of year at the Village. October they are wrapping up the harvest with Halloween, November is Thanksgiving, and December is Christmas/Honika/Quanza/What ever you celebrate.

Hi everyone. I'm a new Hufflepuff. (I actually considered myself a Gryffindor, but I guess now I'll call myself a Gryffinpuff of Huffledor or something...)

Hahaha well welcome chelsZ. I was shocked when I got sorted into Hufflepuff as well. I've always been called a Gryffinclaw because the different tests would mix between sorting me in Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. So now my friends laugh and call me a Puffy Gryffinclaw. biggrin I guess my dad would agree with the Gryffindor part since I signed up with the Marines and I leave for boot camp in January. He's not happy.

Welcome ChelsZ! I was also surprised that I was sorted into Hufflepuff because all of those "which house are you in" tests that I took, it put me in Gryffindor, and frankly I didn't want to be in Gryffindor because I think that it is a too popular of a house and I am use to the not-as-popular places and I really like Hufflepuff!! So welcome once again!

I have had 2 Thanksgiving dinners already and 2 more to come. If you are in school, when does your Thanksgiving break start? Mine starts on Wednesday but I am currently at home sick so I will only have to go to school 1 day this week! I had a turkey lunch last week Thursday for my 'niece'. She's my best friends daughter and the dare care/ preschool had a little Thanksgiving thing. It was cute. The desserts were great. mrgreen I passed on the turkey and stuffing, I had a little bit of fruit and some veggies instead. I only like my mom's stuffing and turkey. My uncle invited us to his dinner, but there are going to be sixteen people in a old farm house without us, so our family is going to pass. We will see them all for Christmas eve though. We are just going to eat at home with my family. My vacation is all this week, from school. I didn't here back from any of my job prospects from last weekend. sweatdrop Oh well, I'll go try again at different stores. I am sorry your already sick of turkey grep. You could always request ham for your Thanksgiving. I'm also sorry to hear you are sick. I hope you feel better soon. 3nodding

I've been having pumpkin pie just for fun, but that's it so far. My Thanksgiving Break starts wednesday, but my ROTC and Education professors both cancelled classes for the week. It's awsome. I've been sick also gerp. Did you know that it's not a good idea to try to sing second soprano with a head cold? It doesn't work very well.

 Official Business Alright, I have good news and bad news. I just got word that Quidditch is planned to start up again and you can check the dates here!. Since it has been so long since tryouts I'm going to hold them all over again just to make sure we still have a team. I know this is probabally going to be a pain but if you think about it, we had more than a full team, and I don't think there are even 7 of us that are active now. I'm going to be stressed out with this and the fact that finals are coming up, but I can do it. As for the bad news, I'm going to be here for the Ravenclaw Vs. Hufflepuff game, but I leave for boot camp the 1st day of the Gryffindor Vs. Hufflepuff game, and I'll be in boot camp through the rest of the games. This means that I'll be setting everything up and I'll be here to play and monitor the first game, but the next two I'll have to have a vice captain for. As you may notice the times are VERY subject to change, so this could go several ways. The games could be postponed so I can't play any, or they could be moved way back so I can play all/none. Either way I'll be holding tryouts for 3 chasers, 2 beaters, a seeker, and a vice captain. The Seeker and Vice Captain are a precaution I feel I should set up. Our first game is the 15th of December. I'll be home then but I know that some will still have school for a few more days so just do your best. I'm actually going to see what I can do about getting more time to prepare. This means I may not get to be there for any of the games, but I can prepare you guys, and I know that I'll be able to get on in April and you guys can tell me that Hufflepuff kicked butt. I'm also going to be pming those that appied for the quidditch team at the start to see if we can have even more people interested.

Hufflepuff Quidditch Tryouts
Welcome Hufflepuff member. You have chosen to go down a challenging path to make the Hufflepuff house stand proud and perform in your schools sports. This is the 1st secion of the tryouts, and after you return this to me I'll owl you the second part and it will go on from there. Tryouts will end the 30th of November, and the 1st of December I will have a list of the quidditch team posted in the common room but until then, all tryouts will be kept confidential To complete this section, please send it to me me in a pm entitled "Hufflepuff (The position your trying for) Reporting for Duty" 1) How often will you be able to be online? (Be honest, I know it's the school year and things are stressful) 2) What position(s) are you trying out for? (If you're trying for VC as well let me know) 3) Will you be willing to train wherever I can set up a training area? (Those that origionally were on the team know where the training area is) 4) Will you obey any order I or the Vice Captain give you and give respect to us? (After I choose a Vice Captain) 5) Do you promise not to cheat on any questions and answer everything honestly? (This goes for both the tryouts and the games trivia or not) 6) Will you be happy with any position if I can not give you the position you're trying for? (There are only so many of the same position)

Hello guuuuys!
Hope you're all having a good holiday/Thanksgiving. After hearing about all the pumpkin pies I'm wishing we hadn't already had our Thanksgiving!
I may just have to bake something to hold me over razz
I'll have to think about joining the Quidditch team.. Not sure I'll have enough time as my teacher continues to pile on the homework.
Glad to see a new member posting. We need more Hufflepuffs! The ones we have don't like to talk much haha razz
Well I better get going with the homework I'm supposed to be doing right now rolleyes Hope you're all doing good biggrin

I don't know if I am going to re-join the Quidditch Team. I am starting to get really busy again because of school and I just don't think that I will have time.
Okay, so has everyone heard of a guy named Declan Galbraith? Well, I discovered him last night on YouTube and like instantly fell in love!! If you have never heard him sing, I suggest you Youtube him!

Alright I understand you're busy. I'm Headmistress of Little Hogwarts and getting chewed out by the Deputy Headmistress for not updating student of the month in months plus I'm supposed to be Head of Ravenclaw/Captain for Mauraders Vs. Mercinaries and it's supposed to open on Christmas but I'm going to push it back to after I get out of boot camp so I don't leave my 3 crew members alone with a new guild while I disapear for 3 months. Right now I've had 2 people try for Keeper on the team. I play Seeker, but I'll be leaving. According to the rules we don't have a enough if I stay because we need 4 and I make 3. I'll definately be gone so that leaves 2 of the minimum 4 that we have so I'm supposed to announce the new Hufflepuff team but as far as the rules are concerned Hufflepuff doesn't even have a team.
