Why should i explain the bad vibes again?
Just because someone wants to be a canon character, doesn't mean they can act like one. Plus, with the heavy focus on characters which already exist, I have a bad feeling that any OC will be ignored in the main plot of things. Plus, Chances are characters will be more tending to godmode if pressured.
Revan is a Jedi knight. If he comes up against a sith lord for some reason or another, the person playing Revan might not like the idea of getting injured or hurt to preserve the character.
Plus, I highly doubt you're going to want to deviate from the known facts. Like Revan getting his arm chopped off or Canderous pulling a suicide run, when in other places it might b different, or even necessary to do so.

Thus, why OCs would be preferable. *sees Nelo's point* Instead, why not follow the lead of Em Squad, using canon events as a back-drop while OCs do their own thing?

What you said. When I don't use quotes, I'm ususally referring to the person directly above me. Yeah, playing Canon characters should be reserved for only those who can prove true rping greatness.

I agree. It certainly takes skill to play as a canon character.
Anyone remember when ND was given the green light to be Boba Fett? He did a heck of a fine job.
As for me, it's pretty intimidating to step into Luke's shoes, hoping that I'll do him justice.
Were I the wagering type, I'd bet that he - and other OT canon characters - were the childhood heroes of many here in the guild. Luke is certainly mine! ^_^;;
With that said, it's a pretty big thing to take on.

Yeah, when I'm in a tough situation, I often think to myself, 'what would a Jedi do?' But seriously, I agree, portraying someone you've looked up to for most of your life and doing them justice is a heavy mantle to take on.

Past that, the actual accuracy has not been fully tested by others to a point of true capability, if any.

ElladanKenet Nelowulf ElladanKenet Cocerning my potential rp, I also noted ETC. at the end of the list, which basically means everyone there and I anyone else there I didn't mention. OC's will be welcome of course, but the main story will reovlve around Malik, Revan, and the Exile, and probably Carth onassi and the Mandalorians That's the reason why I'm getting bad vibes from it. But Carth shouldn't be really that important. Saul would be more crucial to the storyline. Remember that, since Carth was only a footsoldier at the time. True. Care to explain the bad vibes? Care to explain this whole thing?
