I'm a musician i know good music when i hear it. I don't know half the music any of you guys listen to, because i don't listen to the radio.. a few weeks ago when i was in the music area of the electronics department in Wal-mart.. i looked around was like..
"who are all these people?" I had literally no idea.. except for the people i'd heard of from other songs and cds i have. Like Theresa Sokyrka(you guys probably will have no idea who that is) or Nelly Furtado.. and Gwen Stefani.. but otherwise it was a big blank of huh?
I need to start listening to AT40 again.. or some program similar i just don't know when it's on on my local Radio station.. crying

@Mickie: I like some of Hilary Duff's songs. But I absolutely hate Play with Fire. *Shrug* Just my opinion.
And you say you know good music when you hear. Tecinally you are talking about what you think is good.Not the whole world.

Good music is the music made when it's about the music, not just to make some money singing it. Good music is when the song depicts a story thats true to life and has a point and meaning.
I like all genre's of music, some genre's i never thought i would like.
Metal for instance.
I like some country, which is impossible to me.
Pop, rock, R&B classic rock, you name it i like it.
Play with Fire has a good point in it. It uses poetry and the whole play with fire part is not meant to be taken literally, it's a metaphor or something..
Have you read the lyrics for that song, and really listened to it.
Any song has the potential to be good by the definition i've given. it's all about the choice of words and the presentation it is given.
Ironic, by Alanis morrisette for example.

Let's Talk about love by Celine Dion
there are so many great songs out there, with important messages and points that most people dont' pay attention too, and those great songs are the ones that can shape this world and make it better, if people just stopped and listened.
It's those kinds of songs, and that kind of music that someday i want to make, and maybe change the world with it.
