She released his hand and let it drape as it would across her stomach then let out a deep sigh. It was nice being able to just sit around and relax so to speak. Shifting slightly to get into a bit more of a comfortable position, she shrugged. "So I snatch yours. You get the point." Her gaze went to his relaxed hand and she nodded, "I guess you do. You were probably handed your own throne for those brief spits of time. You've got the look of a sex deity alright. 'Course I only like you for your runes but that's another story altogether now isn't it?" She understood where he was coming from and silently agreed. Sometimes she wondered if there really was anything beneath the polished veneer. It was a scary thought actually... "Yours was an unwilling throne though. I can tell."

"So you intend to sit there and watch me, even if there is no show hm?" Raising her eyebrows at him in suggestive and amused gesture about all of this. One thing was sure, he liked to touch apparently, he was always touching. Not that she minded, long as he didn't strike on any sore spots right now. Then she would just be pissed and that would ruin her day. A little giggle before she sat back on her knees in the water. "I suppose it's nice to know I am entertianing on some constant level. You just want a peek." A chuckle at that with a wink before getting herself up and holding out a hand to him. Hey, she wasn't getting out of this tub with her wet unsteady self so she could slip and hurt something.
"And then you complain that they don't fit." He shifted his own position a moment, chainmail digging into a wrong spot before settling and letting her shift as she may, gently resting his chin on top of her head a moment. Though he didn't know how to feel about her mentioning his looks. Damn his father. "I suppose." But it seemed she then went and voiced his opinion for him on the matter. "It's not hard too...sure, one would think I would enjoy women vying for my...attentions...but it's far less glamorous than thought to be. Being the top pet doesn't necessarily mean you earn the best treatment."

Arthur nodded lightly as he kept on grinning, thought his eyebrows raised just a little when he caught the suggestive manner and he had a feeling she would find his answer amusing, she always did somehow. "It doesn't matter if there is a show or not, just seeing you is enough." A small tilt of his ehad to that as he watched her careful before she sat up on her legs in the tub, thought he laughed a little and gave a small shurg. "It can be either way, it doesn't matter really to me." He said as he pulled up out of his postion, watching the elf carefuly as he stood straight and when he saw that wink he grinned again and gave her one as well before taking her hand. Then he was very slowly while taking Isle out of the tub, he didn't want her to slip on some water and fall and hurt herslef no way, so he kept her balance steady until both her feet touched the floor though she had a towel given to her by arthur who had a small smile on his face before he reached in the tub and pulled the plug for the water to drain. When he looked back he could see Isle in a wrapped towel and he have a short whistle to that before walking up to her. "Alright come on it's the bed for you."

She chuckled softly, "True, but that's why you tie them and then I just roll them up and it sort of works. The idea is comfort which makes bagginess ideal." She reached out and patted his leg lightly, "Believe me, Sevilin, I know all about pets and their treatment. You know when I was a little girl I had a pet spider. Real original I know. But he was mine and I just adored him. He got the best treatment he could from me and then one day Alysinn got mad at me and she...squished him." She blinked for a moment and shook her head. "I have no idea why I just told you that..."

She let him help her, taking her towel from him and wrapping it around herself after she had patted most of the water off of herself. Oh yeah, she could already feel those dore spots and the color of said spots had deeped already. Had to love that pale skin. Though a blink at Galesen. "Bed for me? You're going to make me lay down in bed for the rest of the day? Come now, I'm tougher than that." But walking from the bathroom, after all, why stand around in it.
Je watched her pet at him...pet was always a trigger word with these women wasn't it? "Because I said the word pet." Wasn't that interesting, he mentioned pet and got equated into the ranks of a pet spider who was ruined. Funny...it kind of worked too. "The spiders got better treatment than me." There was no bitterniss in his voice, no sadness, merely a flat tone stateing a fact. Seemed they were sort of sharing. "We didn't kill pets in my family, we killed the family." See, that's what happened when he opened his mouth, he said things like that. Damn it.

Arthur sighed and shook his head lightly as he followed her from the bathroom. "Fine you want to be that stubborn then be my guest." A small chuckle to that as he started to easily noticed some of the marks on her body, those would kick in soon if she wasn't careful with herself. So the elf wandered over to Isle's bed and sat down on it as he watched her get dressed, and if she needed any help, which she probably wouldn't ask for it, he would get up and help her put on some pieces of clothing. Though the elf didn't mind watching, after giving her a back rub and washing her hair he felt like he deserved this, just for the hell of it.

Yeah...she felt all embarrassed now that she had shared that little tidbit though she glanced at him and frowned. "I know that is normal but I still hate that you had to endure that Sevilin." She paused a moment and then shook her head, he was referring to the memory he'd alluded to in the past. "Your family...your brothers..." Her hand reached up and lay gently against his cheek. "It's okay to tell me. Really..."

She raised an eyebrow at him as he more or less plopped down on her bed and took to watching rather intent like. Okay. But she didn't pay him much mind at all as she unwrapped her towel and made sure she was all dry before throwing it over her head and making sure her hair wasn't dripping wet anymore. Towel thusly discarded on the floor and she examined her clothes a moment. Eh, dirty. Thusly they were kicked into a pile, except for her capes which were picked up and folded and she walked over to her bag, pulling out another outfit of hers.
This one was more colorful as opposed to her usual dark gray, a light lavendar tunic with silver thread embroidery running the edges, the Andalian Crest embroidered on the back of the garment in the same silver thread, and a loose pair of white soft leather pants as well, also detailed in silver threading, pair of soft leather brown ankle boots pulled on over socks. Isle then took toher hair, pulling out tangles and then pulling it all back into it's usual style with an amber embedded clip. There we go all nice and freshened up, and slightly girly looking.
He looked surprised at her bringing up the subject, almost as he hadn't been aware that he had more or less lead right into it. Well damn it. Though he merely sighed, gave a cough and then was quiet a moment. But she stole his attention again when he felt her hand against his cheek and that same tone that spoke of someplace better that existed only when she was around.
A little sharing wouldn't hurt. "I have five sisters, had two brothers. I outlived both of them. Of course...that's more or less natural you could say, priestesses are quite unforgiving at times. Or sometimes we do things to others that we think is the best course of action for them. Selfish thoughts really. I suppose you could say there could only be one male in my House. I happened to be the one who...overcame...the competition." Yes he was trying to put it in words that made it less painful for himself to hear. After all, the situation was far more different than what he was telling.

Though Arthur did look at her for a bit as she dressed he just fell back onto the bed and continued to look at the ceiling, he decided even though he deserved something for what he did for her, watching her dress in a weird way was not to do it. So he waited quietly until he realized that Isle was finally done getting dressed and he stood up, looking at the elf in her new change of cloths before nodding lightly. "It looks pretty good on you." He said with a smile before heading over to the door. "I'm thinking that you might be a little hungry after that battle, I'm hungry for some eggs, bacon, and toast." He told her as he opened the door to the hallway.

She listened to him, read between his words and grappled with what was likely the real story. He had spoken of a murder last time, hinted that he himself was one. Had he killed his brothers? Both of them? Her hand never moved from his cheek, though she had to keep her fingers from clenching. "I know all about unforgiving priestesses," she said softly. "I lived with one livid wiht jealousy ninety nine percent of the time." She easily smoothed down her skirt with her other hand and then continued in that soft tone. "You overcame by...outdoing the competition?" Eliminating just seemed too harsh a word.

"Thanks." Taking a moment to gather up her other clothes and for the moment toss them over near her back, only with her sword and such. Though she did grab the cross belt that held her flute and strapped it on. Okay she was good now. "You want breakfast food this late in the day?" Had to be later in the day, her body was kind of telling her...though her internal clock was indeed a mess. But a nod. "I suppose I am, bending air to your control and general physical exertion does make one hungry."
And she presisted on the line of thinking that he didn't want to go down. Then again, she probably wouldn't drop it until she knew what he was dancing around. "No, not outdoing. More like not giving the chance to be outdone." Okay Sevilin, just say it. "My youngest ended up a sacrifice by my sisters' hands, and my other younger brother, I killed myself to keep him from being subjected to what I was being put through. I was the white sheep in the flock of black ones so to speak, I actually had an opinion on things. Though after that day I just fell in line." Leaving out the details at least. He would tell her what happened, but not how...it didn't make him any less guilty.
It was funny, three or four years ago, he couldn't even speak of this without his mind literally throwing up blocks to keep him from speaking on it. But now he could at least mention it in semi detached fashion. But still, how other precieved it, he knew it just sounded so horribly wrong. Though his voice barely changed and the details were left out, the pain and guilt were still as fresh as the day it all happened in his eyes. Red depths told the story his voice held back. But he looked away from her, not really sure if he wanted to even see her reaction to that.

She listened as her thoughts were confirmed and she felt something inside her tighten and almost break as he spoke of hurting someone that he really didn't want to. It was a noble thing that he had done but she knew that he would never see it that way. If anything he felt guilty... Her head eased out of the crevice that it fit into so well and she glanced up and caught the hint of pain and guilt shining in his eyes. He tried to avert but she turned and caught his chin in her hand. The raw agony in his eyes reached out adn clamped her stomach in a vice and she knew how self-conscious he was. Lightly she reached up and cupped his face in her hands, then pressed her lips against his eyes to close them, silently telling him it was alright to hide it from her. A million words ran through her mind, exclamations of his strength and noble character but she couldn't bring herself to say any of them. Instead she closed her mouth and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck just holding him for a while. The constriction in her throat grew and she swallowed before the words that she thought might be best came to mind. "I'm sorry Sevilin," she whispered gently. "So very sorry." She wished to the gods there was more she could do for him. Something that she could say to make it alright but what could you tell he who murdered his brother..to save him? Nothing. It was clear that words weren't going to be enough to quench the pain adn drive out his demons. Helplessness was nothing new to her but this time a sadness was born from the familiar feeling and she ran her hands over his cheeks. "Feel any better?"

"Of course you'll be feeding the rest of us, that is if Kieran is willing to eat right now. Or me and Malikhai coudl make the dish we made you Piper, and Kieran cna try a drow's cooking."
A slight chuckle there, getting himself up and grinning lightly at Kieran.
"Not poisonous, I promise. Although at the time and place I learned it and to whom i served it...I probably coudl have gotten my own manor and lands from poisoning some of it."
A shrug there.
"Ah but you live and learn. subtle never was a strong point with me. Oh, one little question. did dear sweet little chaindog ever get to use that little mana transfer poison I gave him? I'm sure it would have made for a very nasty and painful runic death. Which I would have found highly amusing."
Broog watched, and imitated her movements, though he was much bigger and you could easily hear the loud thumps of his feet on the floor. So this was dancing. didn't seem to hard. but not overly entertaining to him, either. Maybe it was an elf thing.
Onyx growled lightly in the back of his throat.
"Power is relative. for example, I could rip Orko's flesh from bones with very little effort, were I to get past his magical defense. power is not always the best thing. patience and speed. timing and skill, can outdo even the most 'powerful' people."
a poke on Tarathiel's nose with a clawtip.
"your a born hunter. you already know Orko is lazy, and that he likes to watch things he shouldn't. Now what do you suppose might happen if you told the people in charge of Orko about that? and what do you think Orko might be willing to do to bribe you into not telling?"
introducing the concept of blackmail to a child. Good one Onyx.

This...wasn't what he suspected to happen at all. Nope, not at all. He more or less expected for her to recess into herself once more at unsavory mention of such things and then they would share an awkward silence and she would eventually leave using one of the many banged up people around this place as an excuse. But, it seemed she took a different route as she caught his gaze and held it with her own, before letting him close his eyes. He knew why...the world behind those was a wretched place and it was no surprise that no one wanted to see that.
"It will never feel better...but it does ebb sometimes. What's done is done and can't be taken back...it was for the best." Giving her the line he so often used for himself. He didn't understand why should would apologize, but boy did he drink in that comfort like a man who'd been in the desert for days on end.
"I like Malik's idea."
Piper rolled her eyes. "Of course you like Malik's idea you silly thing. I'm surprised you haven't just stolen my husband from me already, you and Isleandra both." Giving a light sigh and a shake of her head with somewhat of a chuckle at the men.
"I like daddy's idea too."
The men were all against her today, even if they weren't having an altercation. "Of course you do too." Brushing a hand through thier son's hair. "Malik if you feel like cooking, then cook. If not, well we have help for that now don't we? Come on then, let me herd you all upstairs."
Kieran got himself up, running a hand back through overly short to him hair, and then resting a hand on his shoulder where Raziel should of been. "I heard she gave it to a few of he rune mages that were lower down the chain, they didn't appreciate it and neither did Mahlari...one of the reasons she's constantly angry with me, I'm guilty to you by association." A slight shrug, wasn't like that was new to him. "The last news though, was that they were trying to use it as long distance....so that they don't suffer a lash back. Fianna has taken to wearing pants."
"Oh no, she's not really is she?"
"Oh yes, she is."

She wanted so badly to commit very slow, lethal murder five seperate times. How dare they reduce him to this and force him to feel this horrible guilt. She knew what it was like to feel guilty. For years she was forced to believe that it was her fault so many things had occurred. That she was somehow responsible for others actions. She still knew it was her fault for what had occurred in her own life but she hated that he had carried this around for so many years. Her fingers drifted into his hair and she nodded. "For the best. Yes, but you don't believe that do you?" She paused a moment but never let him go. "How many times have you told yourself that you could have protected him or helped him a different way? You hate yourself for this don't you?" And then it dawned on her. "You loved him. Loved them both..." Her head leaned against his and she suddenly felt the urge to cry. "Didn't you?"
Lharika giggled as she watched him move and shook her head. "No, Mr. Broog. You gotta be graceful and smoooth. Like a beautiful swan sweeping over the ballroom. You're doing the ogre dance, which is fun! Now we're going to do the waltz." She walked over to, as little as she was and reached high up and took his hands, then stepped up onto his feet. "Now don't move this foot." she said tapping his with hers. "But htis one goes to the left, then back, then to the middle. Come on Mr. Broog, Daddy Kieran adn I do this all the time!"
