Indeed I am in PA . . . in fact, I am in the very town that houses the second most accursed rodent known to man. Punxsutawney Phil. We all hate that little b*****d. evil
Unfortunately, no AC for me. I work outdoors, and we have but a few fans here in the house- I live with my fan on me as much as possible. 3nodding As for Pittsburgh, I have been there but a few times and traffic was hideous. Not a big fan of big cities. Well, not if I have to drive in them. sweatdrop
Philly I have not been to yet, but really would love an authentic cheesestkeak sandwitch. blaugh

yeh, th outlaws, I mean, in-laws don't have AC either. We were going to park the RV in their yard, but they don't really have an adequate electrical connection for us, so we're going to stay in a campground about 40 minutes away from them.
They're not actually in Pittsburgh, but in the area. I don't much care for Pittsburgh myself.
Think we'll head north after that, like maybe Michigan's upper peninsula, into Canada, then west. We plan to hit the southwest when it cools down some. Never been to Arizona, New Mexico, or Utah, but there are some amazing-looking places where you can park your RV for free for up to two weeks. We need at least one more solar panel before we do it, though.
We can carry in 100 gallons of fresh water and store more than that in our various waste-water tanks. if we're very conservative, we could stay two weeks before we have to find a dump station.
I think it will be way cool to just be surrounded by desert and no-one around us.

If you disregard the heat, it sounds nice. Nobody around for miles and miles. Kinda like being alone like that. 3nodding

By the time we get down there, it should have cooled off some. And we hope to stay at higher elevations, so that should help too.
We have internet connection via satellite dish, so we can go anywhere we want and stay connected and still work (we have a small new-media business). Five years ago this would hae been impossible. Now we are living our dream. It's been a lot of work to get here, but it's been worth it. So as long as we can keep bringing in work, we'll keep traveling. There's so much of this country I haven't seen!

Moved around by choice or not?
I think it's different when you're going at your own pace, to places that you want to see. And with us, packing up is a matter of folding up the camp chairs, unhooking the lines, and hitching up the truck. A few other chores like that. The whole process takes about two hours. So moving is pretty easy.
Then, we can pick and choose when to go too. You like a place, you stay longer. Not too cool, noisy neighbors? Pick up and go. Ahhhhh it's a close to control over my own destiny as I'm likely to get in this life.

It was more of a case of a family that liked to travel. We didn't move all that much, but we went to many places. As such, a great deal of my travelling is used up. 3nodding

Ahhhh, so you have some expertise. Any suggestions? Any places stand out in your memory for beauty, or interesting things to do?
