The man sighed, but didn't seem to notice the young elfs blush. "Kafele. She demands a girl. She's always been so picky." He thumped a fist on the door, where Kafele roared back in retort.

He looked down at the girl as if he'd never seen her before. "Oh, me appologies," said with a flourish of the hand. "I am Kalam, a Dragon Rider. Kafele the White inside." Again with a tap on the door. "I was approached by someone I had met breifly while he tended to a...um...dragon bite...who asked to give you some work." He sneered at the closed door. "It just so happens that Kafele won't let anyone but a female rub her down."

"Hope you don't ind stable work."

A jewel of a voice floated in fron behind the stall door. "Just let her in, Kalam."

The water rose and caught Leaf completely by surprsie, she almost did not get her helm down in time. When the pedistle was covered in water the orb materialized, looking like nothing more than glowing, swirling water. Under the water, Leafe examined it, "What did you do?" And how would they get this out of the temple, when it obviously had to be submerged to be physicle. "Were there any bottles or vases in any of the chambers we passed?"

She smiled back. "I anjoyed my time at that small place. It was easy too look after, and the people were easy to please."

"I haven't drank any wine since moving into the manor. I have been far to busy mostly to even sit down for dinner." She shrugged. "My free time goes into my potions, or helping Celeste take care of Tarathiel."

She sighed, didn't know what to say or do. She understood, she hoped she understood, the things Cedric was telling her and she couldn't help but compare it to things Onyx had said to her as well. There were differences though, certainly...she just couldn't figure out what they were. She hated having a slow mind.

"Cedric..." she sighed..."Thanks for telling me how you feel."

She was lost, being swept away and distracted by the simple motion of two lips and a pair of hands that had far more knowledge than she wanted to consider right now. She realized in that moment that he had power over her, a power that she wasn't aware of or really sure how to reobtain or even if she wanted to. She kept her body rigid, close to his so they were almost touching but not quite and allowed her fingers to trail up and brush against his ears. She wanted him to feel as mindless as she did, to not even be able to remember his own name. "Sevilin..." she whispered, swalling, the movement constricting her throat for a moment so that his kisses were only more tantalizing on tightened skin. Gods she should end it now before it progressed but a week ago she had crossed all thoughts of ever having this again completely off her list. Now she wanted to indulge.

"Much better." Letting him do his own thing as she sat there for a good while, assuming that her skin would absorb a good amount of the substance but after a while she took to rubbing at her own skin and such to make sure some of it got rubbed into her skin over the tender areas. Also she was inspecting the patches on her body that were indeed already turning color. Wow Malik really worked her over. She was going to be right sore in the morning. But she tilted her head back to look at Galesen some. "I need to wash my hair too."

Ears twitched against her touch and made his motions slow a little as if he had to reprocess everything all over again. But that's what happenened when she touched those, made his mind blank and he had to take a moment to remember what he was doing. But then again newfound thinking found scary answers to everything. He practically had her at his mercy...reduced to a tone that wasn't controlled at all and more or less taking what he offered.

He could do anything he wanted with this apparent knowledge of how to reduce a woman to nothing...and that thought didn't please him at all. No, that was a scary thought somehow, and a road he didn't want to walk...to become a sort of predator in this fashion. This was why he knew he should never get too comfortable. Especially with the feelings of late from his incident earlier in the week.

Thus he stopped his attentions to her skin, giving a sigh and a slight cough, resting his forehead against her shoulder a moment as if trying to process or get himself under control...whichever it may be. Though he didn't pull away just yet. Needed a moment.

The change occurred so quickly she wasn't quite sure what had happened. But she knew something had. It was the absence of movement as her thoughts began to circle once again and she became aware of her position and his and what had been taking place between them. Tension bloomed like a wedge driving them apart but she didn't want it to end just yet. She knew better than to try to force him into anything. Instead she opened her eyes and went to ask him what was wrong but she was the comprehension mixed with horror in his eyes and in that moment she knew. His head dropping to her shoulder confirmed her suspicions and she was momentarily reminded of another time when he'd been seeking comfort. Her fingers moved to play gently in his hair as her nails scraped lightly against his scalp and the base of his neck. "Sevilin?" she questioned softly. "Tell me."

Fin entered the temple area, dragging what appeared to be a translucent bottle. He handed it to Leaf, and turned about promptly to fend off a single fish-like humaniod.

The creature resembled a basterdised merman, with the upper torso of a fish, and the arms and legs of a man. It wielded a trident rather expertly, one would have to guess he passed the time training with the weapon in this type of terran. Fin blocked the strikes with impercision, but managed to hold his own. He was quick to adapt to situations, but the fish was a pro in this arena, making Fin's natural talent go to waste.

Kimmuriel locked his eyes onto Meilikki's, the same feral spirit rested within those orbs as the last time she looked into them. Somehow, they seemed to be more pure though. The vibrant purple colour rather aloof in contrast to Kimmuriel's black skin. "Do I need to beat my slaves into shape?" His tone showed how serious he was, "Or do you want me to get you new ones?"

Cedric turned his body, and looked at her over his shoulder. "I am sorry, my master, but I must go. There is no one else who we can spare to do this dangerous task, and there is no time to train a replacement for me either. The tides are brewing against this place, and my oath to protect you supercedes my desires to be beside you until the end." Cedric walked towards the exit, his red coat floating in the air behind him, his blond braid bouncing slightly with the movement. His left foot seemed to thump in contrast to his right foot. The air about him suggested that he was in a very serious mood. "Take care of yourself, Aella."

((sorry Holly, the gaia was being mean to me, and my post didn't send))

"I guess... I don't mind stable work... its better then having no job at all!"

Kora fumbled around self-contiously. So, a dragon rider, eh? Kora was impressed... very impressed!

"... as long as I don't get bitten..."

She tugged nervously at the brim of her finger-less gloves. She huffed a sigh, stiffened her shoulders, and gathered her courage to poke her head in, though the doorway.

It always happened around her, always. The moment she was around he felt vulnerable around her and he didn't like that feeling. But it wasn't a physical vulnerable, it was more of a spiritual one of sorts. Her prescense made him see what he didn't want to see. Be it good for him or not. And here they were yet again and him oh so aware that there were times when no good came from these situations. Yet she was right there, offering a penny for his thoughts so to speak.

Did he want to say anything? Would not saying anything make things go weird? He could just bypass the question with silence, though that could end up in a fight. Which he really really didn't have the energy or the voice to fight. "Ever find yourself wishing you couldn't do something, because you could get lost in what you discover through what you were doing, and have gained something for the worst?"

Leaf took the bottle, assuming Fin had teken it from the merman. It was not difficult to get the orb into the bottle, just kind of tricky. In the end, she was not certain how she got the orb to slide through the slender neck of the bottle..but she she did and that was all that mattered.

And she turned around to a fight. Swimming in, she grabbed hold of the center of the trident as it came down in a wide swing. She placed her feet on the things chest and oushed off hard, sperating it from it's weapon and giving Fin better odds.

She did not break the gaze, but smiled and chuckled. "You're slaves do whatever it is I ask of them, but I do not give them the duities that have become my responsibility and take up so much of my time." Deidrick laid a head on her lap, giving Kim a stern look with one of the other heads. Meilikki strocked the dog's forhead. "You don't need to such fine slaves."

His words made her blush, and she watched him leave. "Yeah. You too, Cedric."

A question. She hadn't been expecting that. She'd been expecting a placation of sorts or a plea for no disturbance. She knew his issues ran deep and she was often afraid of disrupting the fragile bond there was between them. She never knew the right thing to say, never knew when to question him deeper or when to leave it alone. Upsetting him was the last thing she wanted to do yet she always seemed to manage to do just that. His question left her speechless and she wasn't quite sure how to answer. "I...well...probably though no examples come to mind right now. Is that what you're feeling?" She continued to run her fingers through his hair and she gently lifted his chin and peered down at him. "It's alright to feel that way about things Sevilin. Understanding and clarity come in many different ways. But sometimes what you think could be for the worst may be a blessing in disguise."

((Sokay, it happens ^^)

Kalam threw his hands in the air. "Nnn-ah! Psh, no. Why would you think that?" He looked down at his bandaged arm. "Oh, right the biting thing.. ha ha."

He watched her go in, but didn't peek around. He wasn't allowed in Kafele's stable. "Just watch your feet. If she steps on ya, crrrrrk" He made a crunching noise. "I'll be right here on the other side of this nice, thik, wooden door if you need help.

Kafele the White was a small dragon, as these dragons went, not quite the size of two horses. Her scales glimmered with a briliant sheen, and two sprial horns sat on top of her head amidst the spikes that ran up from the base of her neck. Her wings folded tightly to her side, but the stable had room for her to soread one at a time for comfort or cleanlyness sake. She tempremental dragon huffed, steam shooting out her nostrals.

"Who are you?" She demanded.

The merman looked at Leaf with serious grief, but that was quickly replaced by a look of horror when he was suddenly smiten in the chest with the dwarven longsword. Fin knocked the fish downwards when he retracted the sword with his feet. Fin followed Leaf back to where the dragon waited for the pair.

"Thanks for the armour. It certainly helped." Fin pointed to where the trident scratched the placed on his left shoulder, and across his breast, and stomach, and forarm, and hip, and legs... The dragon did not look too pleased.

"If I were able to restore the world without you, I would eat you for harming my beautiful armour." He sneared, but picked up the duet and flew back to the Citadel.

Kimmuriel chuckled, "Yeah, they are pretty good. Otherwise, I would have killed them." The desterbing sound of that thought could cause Paladins to have heart attacks. "Jin Djinn disappeared after I did. Don't worry, he's still acting in your favour. You just can't see him. I see that Tames got fat. Really, you spoil him too much, and he'll definately turn into a lapdog." The drow seemed not be be very bothered by that. Tames was getting old for a kobold, he was almost fifteen. That was three times as long as they normally live in the underdark. "Those Elves I ensared seem to be your favourites... Odd, eh?" He didn't have to explain anymore than that, he suposed. Meilikki knew everything he did about that matter. "Well, I guess you really did just come here for my company. No requests for the god of chaos, I mean, Goddess." He chuckled, as he actually enjoyed the fact most of his people thought he was Lloth. Why would they think that their god was lying to them? "Well, I really have alot to say, I don't know where to begin, or end, or anything. Being a god isn't what its cracked up to being, too many rules, regulations, duties, obligations, alliances, demons to destroy, angels to aid, angels to kill, less dieties to pick on, planes to stripe of existance, creating new planes, allowing..." Most of that was a lie. Kimmuriel was too lazy to do any of that now that he didn't have to in order to live. He was quite bored, actually. He found the number of people stronger than him diminish from one (Jarlaxle), to zero. "uthegentel is wondering around."

Cedric exited at that point, rather surprised that Onyx held his tongue long enough for the elf to exit. He assumed it was because Onyx was happy that the elf was leaving. Onyx would be comforting to Aella.

"Do you really think Cedric-Sensei is going to die?" Tarathiel asked form the shadows next to Aella. The boy had just entered the room, and knew about Cedric's dangerous mission because it was discussed at great length by Meilikki and the three old elves at great length. Obviously, since it was a secret, the boy naturally knew every detail (because someone can't sit still about the decission). "He doesn't have any of his weapons with him, I wonder how he is going to deal with it..." The child-like elf smiled, rather rare for the boy. "He'll come back..."

Leaf nearly harumphed, but decided it was not her character to do so. "Technically, it was the merman who hurt the beautiful armor, not Fin." She liked hse didn't care one way or another.

Returning to the Citadel found Leaf more than happy to strip out of the water armour and into her probler clothes. During the ride, the wet suit had become clamy and irritable and had chaffed much of her delicate elven skin. She rolled her shoulders. "Tomorrow we will go to the air temple, it that is permissable."

"He comes when I call." Her smile changed to a crooked one. "I rather enjoy that. Odd? hardley. Non of our perminant residences are human, and I live closest to the elves."

"I really did. Is that hard to believe?" She certainly haden't gotten out much before the Earth Mother died, so perhaps it really was hard to beilieve. "Ah, but you were always so fond of talking, and I have grown fond of listening with nothing but my own voice for so long."

"Should I worry about him?"

Aella snapped her head around to the little elven child. "Cedric? he'll be fine." She tthought...."He's just dramatic." She smiled, but couldn't get angry at him. It seemed silly to get angry over one so young. "Were you listening in on that conversation too? How many more listeners are in the shadows, do you think?"

Fin shrugged about the Air Temple issue, it was the dragons who chose after all. THe green didn't say anything either after he got his armour back, and seemed rather eager to disappear into the gloom of the Citadel. "Let us rest until then, I suppose." Fin suggested as he started towards the little inn.

"Well... Be worried if everything to the East of you is on Fire." Kimmuriel gave his humble advice. "Uthegentel isn't exactly the subtle type. If he wants you dead, I heard and saw that he would simply kill everthing between you and him... but it has been Five thousand years since he could do anything like that... I kind of find it wierd that he is so resolved with not making a big scene. Triel is getting rather placid about him, I guess they figure he'll just vent his pent up rage on the unsuspecting peoples that haven't been consumed by the Drow." He shrugged. "Do you enjoy seeing?"

"I just got here. I know that he is going on a dangerous secret mission because Cell knew, and she is quite verbal." He smiled innocently. "And I learned a new trick, so Lavi can't beat me at tag so easily anymore. He's really keen even in elf form." Tara wiggled his way next to Aella, and wraped an arm around one of her's. "Why does Onyx-sans have a weapon out, was Cedric-sensei flirting with you agian?"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 15, 2007 9:53 pm

"Indeed." She followed Fin to the place they rested, because she couldn't really think of it as an inn. She fell onto her cot-like bed fully clothed. "Until tomorrow then."

"The East, fire. Good to know." She rubbed at her arms, feeling cold. She remebered all to well the first things she saw with these eyes. "I do. But my eyes grow very tired, very quickly. There used to be an air of mystery around it, an exciting wish, something to dream about. Now there is only one great certainty in my life." She sighed. "I could see better when I was blind."

The innocent touch of the small boy was comforting, and she smiled at him, before his words made her blush deepen. Gees, even the kid knew before she figured out (when he outright told her...) She cleared her throat. "I bet she doesn't think you listen so hard."

"What new trick did you learn?"

"Onyx's weapon..." She hadn't even seen it. She gave the Vah a stern look. "I really don't know why he has it out, it's not like I was in danger or anything."

Fin was quite tired, and enjoyed the break from the adventuring.

"Eh." Kimmuriel said, "You can't truly imagine some of the things I saw, and have since seen. Eyes truly suck at times." He leaned against Meilikki. "What are you thinking?" He knew, he just wanted to continue the small talk.

"Quick Step, or instant movement. Its where I transfer Ki from my foot into the ground to make me move great distances really really fast. Sstrl tought it to me." He seemed really proud that he learned such a mystical thing. Though, it was not quite the mystery he thought it was. "Next, Sstrl is going to teach me how walk up walls and stuff. Then, I'll be able to match Lavi's movements in Tag. It will be fun." He seemed realitively happy at the moment. Normally, he didn't cope well with even one of his favourite adults outside the manor in the property, let alone two of the adults away from the property all together.
